Allen Roberts

Graveside services for Seminole resident Allen Ray Roberts are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gable Cemetery in Meeker.

Rev. Carl B. Whitfield will be officiating and Swearingen Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Roberts, 78, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005 at Seminole Medical Center. He was born on July 6, 1927 in Chandler to Charley P. and Alta (Gouker) Roberts.

He worked in pipeline construction within the oilfield.

His parents, wife, Suzy (Taylor) Roberts and brother, Charles Franklin Roberts preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Allen Roberts of Del City and Charles Ray Roberts of Seminole; one daughter, Patricia Scharabok of Del City; one brother, Chester Lee Roberts of Del City; two sisters, Relta Templeton of Maud and Betty Jean Bell of Spencer and six grandchildren.

Marcus D. Roberts

Funeral services for lifetime Seminole County resident Marcus Dain Roberts are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Wewoka with Rev. C.L. Prevost of Community Baptist Church to officiate.

Burial is to follow services at Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Myers Mortuary.

Roberts, 27, of Wewoka, died Saturday, May 28, 2005 in Shawnee. He was born Jan. 10, 1978 in Holdenville to Cathy Whitfield-Blackshire and George C. Roberts Jr.

He attended public school in Wewoka and was a 1996 graduate of Wewoka High School. While in high school he was a member of the basketball team, which were named State Champs for two years. Roberts was also a member of the football team and the baseball team.

Roberts worked for Amis Construction Company and was an active member of Community Baptist Church.

His brother, Mancini, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his parents, Cathy Blackshire of the Wewoka home and George C. Roberts Jr. of Oklahoma City; three sons, Jaek, Darius and Darren Roberts of Seminole; two daughters, Mia Kalaha Roberts and Desire Roberts, both of Wewoka; three sisters, Shaquetta Blackshire of Shawnee, Ranesha Johnson of Wewoka and Felicia Roberts of Oklahoma City.

Tenzy Roberts

Funeral services for former Konawa resident Tenzy Lee Roberts are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Hatcher to officiate.

Interment is to follow services at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.

Roberts, 75, of Norman, died Monday, May 23, 2005 at Norman Regional Hospital. She was born Feb. 21, 1930 in Konawa to John and Madie (Blackwood) Morrow.

She married Calvin O. "Joe" Roberts on March 7, 1950 in Gainesville, Texas.

Roberts was a beautician for many years and was of the Baptist faith. She graduated from Vamoosa High School.

Her parents, her husband Calvin "Joe" Roberts on Sept. 19, 2002 and one sister, Lorene Ogle all preceded her in death.

Surviving is daughter Brenda Hall of Norman; two brothers, Wyndol Morrow of Houston, Texas and Andy Morrow of Ada; two sisters, Dorothy Anderson of Sasakwa and Bobby O’Shea of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two aunts, Mary Lou Blackwood of Konawa and Estelle Sutton of Picayune, Miss.

Pall bearers for the services will be Cliff Anderson, Philip Deaton, Shawn Northcliffe, Freddy Carpenter, Wallace Huff and Joe Andy Blackwood.

Laverne Roberts

Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident, Laverne Roberts, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee.

The Rev. Carl Whitfield will be officiating over the ceremonies.

Roberts died June 18, 2005 at Shawnee Unity North and was born Jan 6, 1929 in Rusk County, Texas to Bill Spivey Ash and Annie Missouri (Williams) Ash.

Roberts was a mother, wife, and homemaker to her husband Garvin Roberts. Whom she married on December 17, 1945 in Rusk County, Texas.

Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law: Johnnie and Judy Roberts of Seminole; two daughters and sons-in-law: Vivian and Robert Lemmings, and Betty Lawson all of Seminole; "Nick" Munsik of Houston Texas.

In addition eight grand-children: Dustin Lawson, Dava Dunn, Stephen and Lori Ann Lemmings, Kristi Lawson, Curtis Roberts, Tami Cordell and Robert Morphew; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild survive.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Roberts, Stephen Lemmings, Dustin Lawson, BJ Cordell, Patrick Dunn and Robert Morphew.

Henry Robertson

Funeral services for longtime Konawa area resident, Henry Herman "Hank" Robertson are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Community Church in Vamoosa with Rev. Cal Hunter and Rev. Glenn Peck to officiate.

Interment is to follow at Dora Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.

Robertson, 83, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005 at his residence in Konawa. He was born Feb. 10, 1922 in Maud to Alfred Wesley Robertson and Nettie Lee (Goss) Robertson.

He married Mary K. "Katy" majors on Dec. 24, 1946 in Bowlegs.

Hank taught school and coached for 39 years, having retired in 1984. He taught and coached at Vamoosa, Bowlegs and Allen Public Schools.

Robertson served as an aviation machinist’s mate, second-class, in the United States navy during World War II from 1942 – 1945. He received an honorable discharge on Oct. 1, 1945.

Hank graduated from Vamoosa High School in 1940 and after the service he attended and graduated from East Central State University with a bachelor’s degree in 1948.

He received his master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1953 and he was inducted in to the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1982.

Robertson served on the OECA Board and was a member of the Board of Directors of the CVEC since 1986. He was a member of St. Louis Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 70.

His parents preceded him in death.

Surviving is his wife of over 58 years, Mary K. "Katy" Robertson of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Danny Freeman of Konawa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Brenda Robertson and Mark and Debbie Robertson, all of Konawa; five grandchildren, Dana Ezell, Chris Freeman, Lisa Cundiff, Marcy Robertson and Cory Walker and three great-grandchildren, Kinlee and Kamlyn Cundiff and Nathan Ezell.

In addition four brothers, A.W. "Nug" Robertson and Arnold Robertson, both of Konawa, Keith Robertson of Okemah and Dick Robertson of Konawa and four sisters, Willa Dean Wall of Harrah, Laquita Huckleberry of Konawa, Billie Collins of Shawnee and Jerry Lemmings of Konawa survive him.

Mary Edith Robertson

Graveside services for longtime Seminole resident Mary Edith Robertson were held at 2 p.m. today at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole with Bill Day officiating.

The service is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Mary Edith Robertson passed away Saturday April 23, 2005 in Oklahoma City.

Her family surrounded her for she was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Edith was born April 28, 1918 in Breckenridge, Okla. to Armstead Calabe and Pearl Mae King. She moved to Seminole as a very small child.

She married Ed Robertson on September 6, 1936 and they lived in Seminole for the next 44 years.

They were active members of Trinity Baptist Church in Letha and she taught women’s class for many years.

Ed passed away in 1980 and four years later Edith moved to El Reno and later Oklahoma City to be closer to her children.

Her husband, her parents, one sister Opal Lott and one brother Robert King preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter and son in law: Janette and Jim Whittern of Oklahoma City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Charlene Robertson, Scotty and Susanne Robertson all of Oklahoma City.

Other survivors include grandchildren: Tod Robertson of Waikiki, Hawaii, Carey and Charlene Robertson of Tulsa, Brad and Kim Robertson of Edmond, Karen and Tommy Howard of Oklahoma City, Michael and Lori Whittern of Oklahoma City, Lance and Jenny Robertson of Colleyville, Texas, and Casey and Brandi Robertson of Moore.

In addition she has eleven great grandchildren: Kelsey Robertson, Lauren Robertson, Bailey Robertson, Bryson Robertson, Rylee Robertson, Bradyn Robertson, Bailey Howard, Jimmy Howard, Cole Whittern, Colin Whittern and Riley Robertson.

One brother and sister-in-law Leonard and Wilma King of Mission, Texas and two sisters-in-law, Francis Robertson and Vada Robertson of Seminole and a host of nieces and nephews also survive her.

Mercedes T. Robertson

Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident Mercedes T. Robertson are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Stout-Phillips Chapel in Wewoka.

Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Robertson, 95, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005 at Elmwood Manor Nursing Home. She was born on Jan. 24, 1910 in Iona, S.D. to E.G. and Harriet (O’Brien) Hickey.

Following graduation she received a degree in interior design. She married G.H. Robertson on Sept. 30, 1928 in Holdenville.

Robertson was a music teacher and a housewife throughout most of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and four children, JoAnn Robertson, Jerry Robertson, Jeanene Potter and Gary Robertson.

Surviving her are seven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Daisy Mae Robinson

Funeral services for former longtime Seminole resident Daisy Mae Robinson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Branstetter-Rosewood Funeral Home in Oklahoma City.

Interment will follow service at Resthaven Cemetery in Shawnee.

Robinson died Friday, June 17, 2005 in Oklahoma City. She was born Nov. 10, 1917 in Shawnee to Dave and Della Mae Parsons.

She graduated from Shawnee High School and was baptized at Trinity International Church in Oklahoma City.

In Waurika she married Jack Robinson in 1943. He preceded her in death July 10, 1985. Her parents and two brothers, Haskell Parsons and Woodrow Parsons also preceded her in death.

She moved from Seminole to Oklahoma City to be closer to her daughter.

Robinson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seminole, Seminole B.P.W. and was elected B.P.W. Woman of the Year in 1987.

After moving to Oklahoma City she was a member of Eagle Heights Church.

Survivors are her two daughters, Jackie Miles and Janie Lewis, both of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren’ one brother Hershel Parsons of Moore and one sister, Beatrice Ramsey of Chanute, Kan.
