Ronald Gene Tappe

Funeral services for Ronald Gene Tappe are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Paul Heard officiating.

Interment will take place at the Catholic Cemetery in Prague. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Ronald was born on Dec. 2, 1947, in Oklahoma City and departed this life on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, in Prague at the age of 57.

Ronald, the son of Harry John, Jr. and Rita Theresa (Ast) Tappe, was a long-time resident of Prague. He married Kathleen Boman on Aug. 25, 1978, in Shawnee.

Ronald was a farmer and rancher. His parents and one sister preceded Ronald in death.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; sons and daughter-in-law, Brian and Tiffany Tappe of Burnet, Texas, and Matthew Alan Tappe of Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Christina Dawn and John Smith of Shawnee; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Kathy Tappe of Shawnee, and Harold and Margie Tappe of Prague; brother-in-law, Tom Thomas of Yorkville, N.Y.; three grandchildren; aunt, Rosemary Tappe of Prague; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bettie Louise Taylor

Funeral services for Seminole native Bettie Louise Taylor are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Kirkendall officiating.

Interment is to follow services at Cummings Cemetery under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home.

Taylor, 78, of Maud died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005 at home. She was born in Seminole Jan. 31, 1926 to R.D. Strawn and Addo (Bedford) Strawn.

She married Raymond Taylor in McKittrick, Calif. on April 30, 1944 and was a retired waitress.

Taylor was a member of the California Kiwanis Club, Pocuantus Club, Sportsman Club, Elks Lodge and First Baptist church of Maud.

Her parents, and son, Danny Ray Taylor in 1983 preceded her in death.

Surviving her is her husband, Raymond Taylor of the home; one brother, Grady Strawn of Bullhead City, Ariz.; two brothers-in-law, Alfred Pierce of Oklahoma City, Lemuey Hale of Maud; three sisters-in-law, Rachel Hale of Maud, Virgie Colum and Mary Lee Brewer both of Seminole.

In addition three grandchildren, Tammy Kestler and husband Kris, Teresa and Larry Brockett and Raymond Taylor and five great-grandchildren, Harlin and Jacob Kestler, Colt and Kelly Brockett and Danny Taylor also survive her.

Pall bearers for the service will be Larry Brockett, Kris Kestler, Raymond Taylor, Dennis, Tony and Timmy Brewer.

Peggy Sue (Barnard) Taylor

Funeral services for Peggy Sue (Barnard) Taylor, sister of Bowlegs resident Dean Debter, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God in Bowlegs with Rev. Roy Robertson officiating.

Interment will take place at Calvery Cemetery in Shawnee. Swearingen Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Taylor died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Unity North in Shawnee. She was 56.

She was born Nov. 24, 1948, in Lodi, Calif., to James Kenneth Barnard and Stella Mae (Mize) Barnard.

Taylor graduated from Prague High School in 1967.

On April 4, 1976, she married Raymond Mitchell Taylor in Prague. She moved to Shawnee from Prague 13 years ago.

She retired in 1996 as Secretary at Carl Albert Indian Hospital in Ada.

Taylor was a member of the Assembly of God.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Taylor is survived by her husband, Raymond M. Taylor of the home; son, Todd Burch of Shawnee; daughters, Tonja Berry of Seminole, and Tiffanie Rogers of Shawnee; brother Dean Debter of Bowlegs; sisters, Phyllis Becker of Wellston, and Vicki Debter of Tulsa; and six grandchildren.

Yvonne Taylor

Funeral services for Maud resident Yvonne Georgine Taylor are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Maud with Rev. Tim Martin, Rev. Paul Jackson and Rev. Jimmy Rutters to officiate.

Interment is to follow services at Cummings Cemetery in Maud under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home.

Taylor, 59, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Seminole Medical Center. She was born in Bury Saint Edmonds, England to George Author Taylor and Audrey Mary (Nunn) Taylor.

She was a longtime St. Louis, Okla. resident, a teacher and a home health care worker. Taylor was of the Pentecostal faith.

Her grandparents, Myrtle Carrie Ann McGill Taylor, George Ollie Taylor, Alfred Nunn and Elizabeth Wilding Nunn all preceded her in death.

Surviving her is her mother Audrey Mary Taylor of St. Louis; father and stepmother-in-law George and Diane Taylor of Eufaula; sister Venita Earlene Taylor of St. Luis and half-sisters Rebeka Taylor of Eufaula and Carie Ann Taylor of San Jose, Calif.

Pallbearers for the services will be Jimmy Rutters, Ed Creech, Terry Blythe, Jessie Taylor, Bobby Kessinger, Glen Ray Woodall and Harold Foreman.

Viola Taylor

Funeral services for former Seminole resident Viola B. Taylor have been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Stinnett officiating.

Interment will follow service at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Taylor, 86, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005 at Georgia Manor Nursing Home in Amarillo, Texas. She was born March 22, 1919 in Boynton to Jay G. and Della Ann (McCauly) Stults.

She married Glynn Dale Taylor on April 14, 1944 in Seminole and was a retired beautician and member of the Church of Christ in Seminole.

Her parents and husband preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Glynn Dale Taylor of Shawnee and Rhonald Lynn Taylor of Amarillo, Texas; one daughter, Pamela Sue Ennis of Monvevallo, Ala.; three sisters, Pauline Moore of Dumas, Texas, Joyce Hunter of Borger, Texas and Pat Fleming of Perryton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Vernon Ross Tebe

Funeral services for Seminole resident Vernon Ross Tebe are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at God’s Glory Temple on 1326 Boren Blvd. Buddy Harjo and Hershal Davis set to officiate.

A wake service is scheduled for 7-8 p.m. tonight at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.

A second wake service is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at God’s Glory Temple.

Interment will be at the Tebe Cemetery in Sasakwa.

Tebe died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at the age of 31 in his Seminole home.

He was born Sept. 14, 1972 in Oklahoma City to Vernon Cecil Tebe and Joan Teehee Tebe.

Tebe worked as a roofer.

He was a member of God’s Glory Temple.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Dwayne Tebe.

Tebe is survived by his parents, Vernon Cecil and Joan Tebe of Konawa; and two brothers, Steven Nelson Tebe of Konawa and Jacob Tebe of Konawa.

Casket bearers will be Steven Tebe, Jacob Tebe, Reuben Perez, Larenzo Perez, Justin Perez, Ross Perez and Thomas Farie.

Margaret Thimsen

Graveside services for former Seminole resident Margaret C. Thimsen are scheduled to take place under the direction of Hall Funeral Service.

Interment is to take place at Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet, Ill.

Thimsen, 99, of Mena, Ark., died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005 in the Rich Mountain Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born April 17, 1905 in Du Bois, Pa. to Everett and Anna Berst Luther.

She lived in Mena for a short time, arriving from Seminole where she worked as an office clerk and was a member of the First Christian Church of Seminole.

Her parents and one brother, Clarence Luther preceded her in death.

Surviving her is her daughter, Marion Pope of Mena, Ark.; one brother, Fred Luther of Norman; one sister, Clemence Luther of Norman; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Donations may be made in her memory to the First Christian Church at P.O. Box 1335, Seminole, Ok. 74818.

George Ray Thomas

Graveside services for long-time Sasakwa area resident George Ray Thomas are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Vamoosa Cemetery with Arthur Carpitcher officiating.

Services are under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.

Thomas died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was 61.

Born to Thurman Thomas and Alene (Neely) Thomas on Feb. 22, 1944, in Houston, Texas, he married Linda "Jean" (Hamrick) on May 17, 1986, in Konawa.

He graduated from Vamoosa High School in 1963.

Thomas served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge on Nov. 20, 1967.

He worked for Brown and Root Construction Company for several years having worked on the construction of the OG&E power plant in Konawa.

He also worked at New Horizons Nursing Home in Konawa for 10 years. He was most recently employed with Wal-Mart in Ada.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Linda "Jean" Thomas of the home; three daughters, Georgia Thomas of Stephenville, Texas, Linda Thomas and Morgan Thomas of Haslet, Texas; one sister, Karla Rodgers of Nevada; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Brandon Thompson

Memorial services for Wolf resident Brandon August Thompson were scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Freewill Baptist Church of Purcell with Dr. Randall Ridenour officiating.

The services were under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.

Thompson, 17, died Thursday, March 3, 2005, along with his mother, in their Wolf home. He was born March 12, 1987 in Fort Sill to Gary A. Thompson Jr. and Laurie L. (Thompson) Walchusky.

He was raised in Ft. Riley and Harrington, Kan., Norman and Purcell and he attended Bowlegs High School.

His hobbies include skating, bike riding and many outdoor sports. It was his plan to one day serve in the United States Armed Forces.

Surviving are his father, Gary A. Thompson Jr. and wife Teresa of Purcell; sister, Megan R. Thompson of Norman; two brothers, Gary Alan Thompson of Purcell and Christopher M. Thompson of Norman; stepbrother Greg Coats of Denver, Colo.; two stepsisters, Sara Coats of Purcell and Leigh Coats of Denver, Colo.; and grandmother, Sandra Tucker of Norman.
