Graveside services for Wewoka resident Larry Von Tipton were scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka.
Tipton died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, in Wewoka. He was 68.
He was born Sept. 14, 1937, to R.B. and Reba (Capps) Tipton.
Tipton attended Wewoka Schools and received his associate’s degree from West Moreland College in Pennsylvania.
He retired from the U.S. Navy on March 20, 1973.
Tipton worked as a law enforcement officer in Arnold, Pa., where he also owned and managed the Edna Hotel for 15 years.
After retiring from his business in Pennsylvania, he returned to Wewoka, his hometown. Tipton worked with computers, gardened, fished, sang, played the organ, did gourmet cooking and spent time with his wife Terri.
His daughter, Christina, and father, Raymond Bronlow Tipton, preceded him in death.
Tipton is survived by his wife, Terri of the home; daughters, Dara Kneib of Erie, Pa., and DaMarla Guffey of Ohio; son, Marek Tipton of Warsaw, Ind.; mother, Reba J. Tipton Scott, of Oklahoma City; sisters, Donna Strickland, of Oklahoma City, Nelda Kibby of Shell Knob, Mo.; and six grandchildren.
Audrey Totten
Graveside services for Seminole resident Audrey Faye Totten have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
The service will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home and Rev. Carl Whitfield will be officiating.
Totten, 82, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Seminole Estates Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 16, 1923 in Yeager to George and Daisy (Kiresey) Jones.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church in Ada.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving her is her son James Cookerly of the home; four sisters, Velma Saltzman of North Gleen, Colo., Oleda Newman of Wewoka, Imogene Davis of Choctaw and Alta Parker of Wewoka; six brothers, Rollond Lee Jones of Wewoka, Garland Jones of Pinole, Calif., Kenneth Jones of Houston, Texas, Wayne Jones of Ada, Melvin Jones of Shawnee and Davis Jones of Wewoka.
Joe Tracy
Lifelong Seminole resident Joe Marshell Tracy, passed away on Nov. 15, 2005 at the age of 78.
He was born on Nov. 10, 1927, in Cromwell to Herman Franklin and Mary Irene (Hetherington) Tracy.
Joe served in the Navy and was a member of the American Legion.
He married Margie M. (Anderson) Tracy on June 24, 1947 in Borger, Texas.
Joe retired from Tinker Air Force Base on Dec. 22, 1989, where he was a pipefitter.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of the home; four daughters and sons-in-laws, Gaila and Dennis Wood of Universal City, Texas, Linda and Dan Petty of Newalla, Terri and Ron Kiesel of Seminole, and Julia Lashley of Anna, Texas.
He is also survived by six grandchildren: Brian Dodson of Anna, Texas, Amy Wood of New Braunsfel, Texas, Timothy Wood of McKinney, Texas, LeAnne Newell of Del City, Ryan Kiesel of Seminole, and Paige Kiesel of Seminole; and four great-grandchildren.
His favorite dog "Buddy" also survives him of the home.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary O. Wilburn officiating.
Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Kirby Joe Trimble
Kirby Joe Trimble passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at 1:24 p.m. in Seminole at Pioneer Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was born Aug. 27, 1954, in Wewoka to Guy Lee and Naomi Maxine (Thompson) Trimble.
He married Vonda Jean Carter on July 9, 1980, in Wewoka.
He lived in Konawa with his wife Vonda and son Landon.
He was an electrician by trade. He grew up as a member of First Baptist Church of Wewoka.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bill Trimble; and sister, Naomi Lee Streater.
He is survived by his wife, Vonda, and son Landon, of the home; two sisters, Josephine Light of Rogers, Ark., and Patricia Dougherty and husband Joe, Wewoka; two brothers, Guy Lee "Red" of Long Beach, Calif., and John and wife Carolyn of Wewoka; and a host of nieces and nephews.
There are no services pending.
Kirby Joe Trimble

Kenneth Triplett
Graveside services for former Cromwell resident Kenneth Triplett are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Little Cemetery with Rusty Dawson officiating.
The services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
Triplett, 80, died today, Aug. 25, 2005 in Talihina. He was born March 17, 1925 in Cromwell to Mann Triplett and Pearl Triplett Lane.
He served with the United States Army during World War II and worked as an oilfield material supervisor.
His parents and four infant children preceded him in death.
Surviving are his cousins, Lynn Hensley of Oklahoma City, Gerald Hensley of California, Barbara Pennecker of Corona, Calif., Lois Taber and Dick Taber, both of Prague.
Coetta Mae Turner
Services for Seminole resident Coetta Mae Turner are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5, 2005 at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Leon McDowell and James Burnsworth officiating.
Interment will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Coetta Mae Turner, 69, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005 in Tulsa. She was born on Nov.22, 1936 in Turpin, Okla. to Bounce and Pearl (Gift) Veneable.
She married Rev. Harold Turner on July 24, 1959 in Oklahoma City. Coetta and Harold moved to Seminole in August of 1980.
She was a homemaker and pastors wife, serving as the sectional director for the Pentecostal Women’s Ministry at the Temple of Praise Church in Seminole.
Coetta was a devoted mother and wife, serving the church and the Lord with all her heart. She filled many lives with her uplifting smile giving joy to others.
Her parents and one son, Alton Glen Turner preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Turner of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Marina Turner of Ft. Gibson, Okla., Dwain and Sandra Turner of Sunray, Texas, Darrell and Diane Turner of Arlington, Texas and Bobby and Regina Turner of Seminole; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Tommy Stephens of Hurst, Texas, and Debbie and Pete Rando of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Joyce Anderson of Hooker, Okla. and Robbie Veneable of Riverside, Calif. and one brother, Sonny Veneable of Baldwin City, Kan.
Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive her.
Pallbearers will be David Owens, Buster Wilcox, Jeff Nance, James Winkcompleck, Stanley Witlock, and Kevin Pollard.

Irma Lucille Turner
Graveside services for longtime former Seminole resident Irma Lucille Turner were set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.
The services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, and will be officiated by Rev. Carl Whitfield.
Turner died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at her home in Cushing.
She was born March 2, 1907, in Jay County, Ind., to Jesse A. Grogg and Frances (Hartley) Grogg.
She moved to Seminole in 1926 and graduated from Glenpool High School in 1932.
She married C.O. Turner on Oct. 14, 1950, in Seminole County.
Turner retired from bookkeeping at Webster’s Electric in Seminole.
Her hobbies included stamp collecting, coin collecting, crocheting, reading and working puzzles.
Turner was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers, her husband, and two daughters: Billie R. Smith and Joyce Snodgrass.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
