Funeral services for Cromwell resident Diana Sue Watson were held today at 10 a.m. at Friends Freewill Baptist Church.
Interment will be at Little Cemetery with Rev. Paskel Bevans officiating, and under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Watson, 49, died Sunday, March 27, 2005 in Oklahoma City. She was born Oct. 9, 1955 in Wewoka to Richard "Tommy" Williams and Oleta (Watters) Williams.
She attended Butner Schools and was a member of Friends Freewill Baptist Church. In addition, she was a press operator for T.D.K. in Shawnee.
Her father preceded her in death.
Surviving her is her mother Oleta Williams of Cromwell; brothers, Jimmy Williams and Steve Williams, both of Cromwell; sons, David Watson of Cromwell and Kevin Michael Watson of California and daughter Diane Watson of California.
Lisa Gayle Watson
Funeral services for Seminole resident Lisa Gayle Watson are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints with Bishop Lewis Armour to officiate.
Interment is to follow at Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Watson, 45, died in an automobile accident Friday, June 24, 2005. She was born June 8, 1960 in Portland, Ore. to Marvin Don Connelly and Beulah Marie (Hughes) Connelly.
She married Rocky Watson May 5, 1982 in Shawnee and worked as an emergency room registered nurse at Seminole Medical Hospital.
Watson was EMT certified, a Medical Explorer, Post affiliated with the Boy Scouts, an active member in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts as well as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.
Her mother and one brother, Keith Connelly, preceded her in death.
Surviving is her father and step-mother, Marvin Don and Mary Ann Connelly of Eugene, Ore.; husband, two sons, Brandon Watson, Rocky Watson and one daughter, Heather Watson, all of the home; two brothers, Steve Connelly and Sean Connelly, both of Virginia and one sister, Patty Irvin of Coosby, Ore.
Jack V. Watts
Funeral services for longtime Konawa resident Jack V. watts are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home with Rev. Charley Henthorn officiating.
Interment is to follow services at Konawa Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Mr. Watts passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005 at his residence in Konawa at the age of 84 years.
He was born July 22, 1921 at Rock Creek, Okla. to Marvin Thomas and Kitty (Robbins) Watts.
Jack was educated at Rock Creek, Shawnee and Earlsboro Schools.
He served with the Civilian Conservation Corp and the United States Navy, achieving the rank of 2nd Class Aviation Machinist Mate.
While in the Navy Jack met and married Evelyn Loraine Daniels on Dec. 30, 1944.
In 1946 upon completion of his military duties, Jack, Evelyn and James moved to Konawa where Jack went to work at the Konawa Peanut Company.
In 1954 Jack purchased a well servicing machine and operated it for many years. Later Jack purchased oil wells and operated them for himself. In 1983 Jack retired from pumping oil wells.
His parents, Marvin and Kitty Watts; wife, Evelyn Watts on Nov. 27, 1994; three brothers, Roland, earl and Victor Watts; four sisters, Irene Patterson, Mildred Patterson, Hazel Bohannon and Christine Cranefield and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Watts.
Surviving is his son, James Watts of Konawa; grandson, Richard Howsmon and his wife Tammy of Ingleside, Texas; granddaughter, Jeanne Bicknell and husband Terry of Savannah, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Errol and Kyndrick Howsmon and a very special friend, Mozelle Duncan and her daughter LaWanda Tanner.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be sent to the Konawa Nutrition center, 426 East 1st Street, Konawa, OK 74849.
Floyd Wear
Graveside services are scheduled for former Seminole resident Floyd Wear for 10 a.m. Saturday at Little Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Violette to officiate.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Wear, 73, of Wellston, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005 at Harrah Nursing Center in Harrah. He was born March 24, 1932 in Seminole to William Earnest Wear and Alma Edna Jackson.
He was a veteran of the United States Army who served from 1954 – 1972 and received the National Defense Service Medal.
In addition, he was a tank commander, an expert marksman and a retired staff sergeant.
His parents and two brothers, Boadie Wear and Clyde Wear preceded him in death.
Surviving are two sons, Mark Wear of Wellston and Robert Wear of Konawa; two daughters, Debra Wear of Sand Springs and Vickie Moore of Stigler; two brothers, Eugene Wear of Seminole and Jerry Wear of Ada; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Alma Jean Welch
Funeral services for Sasakwa resident Alma Jean Welch were held at 2 p.m. yesterday at Sasakwa Church of Christ is Sasakwa.
Interment took place at Lone Dove Cemetery in Sasakwa.
Welch died Saturday, June 4, 2005, at the age of 81.
She was born Jan. 6, 1924.

Emma Ruth Wesley
Funeral services for longtime Wewoka resident, Emma Ruth "Herrod" Wesley are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at middle Creek #2 Baptist Church in Holdenville.
Rev. George Harjochee and Rev. Arthur Carpitcher will be officiating. Wake services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Hudson-Phillips Chapel.
Interment is to follow services at Cedar River Church Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Wesley, 84, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. She was born July 1, 1921 in Holdenville to Andy and Ida "Harjoe" Herrod.
She was raised in the Holdenville area and attended and graduated from Holdenville High School.
Wesley later moved to California where she attended LaValley College in Los Angeles, Calif. and attained her LPN licensing for nursing. She later attended Oklahoma State University for additional credit for approximately two years.
She moved back to Wewoka where she worked for the Wewoka Hospital for several years. Wesley also worked for the Creek Nation Hospital in Okemah for many years. She was working for Oakridge Nursing Home when she retired.
Wesley was a longtime member of the Cedar Ridge Missionary Baptist Church of Holdenville and she enjoyed doing beadwork, Seminole patchwork and fishing.
Her husband, Leon Howard Wesley; her parents; one brother, Robert Herrod; one grandson, Timish Wesley and one great-granddaughter, Britney Wesley.
Surviving are four daughters, Ida Gonzales of Long Island, N.Y., LeeAnn Gomez of Huntington Park, Calif., Emma Ruth Wesley Jr. of Shawnee and Letitia Wesley of Wewoka; five sons, Victor Wesley of Las Vegas, Nev., Leon Howard Wesley Jr. of Owasso, Andy Wesley of Holdenville, David Wesley of Tulsa and John Wesley of Arlee, Mont.
In addition, she has two sisters, Paulene "Herrod" Stewart and Jane "Herrod" McGeisey, both of Wewoka and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Emma Ruth West
Funeral services for Emma Ruth West, a longtime Seminole County resident, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Parks Brothers Chapel in Okemah, with Pastor Delmar Hume officiating.
Interment was to follow at the Little Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
West died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, in Midwest City, at the age of 77.
She was born Feb. 21, 1928, in Bessemer, Ala., to Samuel and Mamie Lanore Hamaker.
West resided in Seminole County for 43 years. She was a homemaker, worked as a food dietitian, and was a member of the Mission Home Missionary Baptist Church of Wewoka.
Her parents; her husband William Arthur West, who died in 1981; two brothers, James Hamaker, and Samuel Hamaker Jr.; and two sisters, Alice Simmons and Joann Spencer, preceded her in death.
West is survived by her two sons, Luther L. Williams of Wewoka and William Leon West of Moore; three daughters, Joy Dianne Bullock of Cromwell, W. Denise Cheatwood of Wewoka, and Dorothy L. Grimes of Choctaw; two brothers, Edward Hamaker of Gardendale, Ala., and Bill Carson of Tacoma, Wash.; three sisters, Clara Fallihee of Gardendale, Ala., Alene Cisco of Tacoma, Wash., and Mary Lucky of Red Oak, Iowa; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jim Bullock, Jimmy Grimes, Ronnie V. Cheatwood, Bryan Henson, Matt Grimes and Ronnie Cheatwood.
Honorary bearers were Edward Hamaker, Kenneth West, John Williams, Tristan Williams, Jake Abney, Chase Henson, Jordan West and Christopher Cheatwood.
Mary West
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident Mary (Larney) west are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Creek Eufaula Baptist Church with Pastor Dorsie Nero and Rev. Houston Tiger officiating.
Interment is to follow services at the West Family Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
West, 76, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005 at Pioneer Nursing Home. She was born March 26, 1928 in Seminole to Leah Harjo.
She married Porter West and worked at Pat’s café as a cook for 20 years before her retirement. West was a member of the Cedar Creek Eufaula Baptist Church.
Her parents; husband; brother, Alex Larney and one sister, Joanne Harjo all preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn West and Tammie West, both of Seminole; brother, Jap Harjo of Earlsboro; sister, Christine Hotulke of Seminole; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Wake services will be held on Sunday at Swearingen Funeral Home from 6 – 8 p.m., and on Monday at Cedar Creek beginning at 7 p.m.
Carlton Westbrook
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Carlton Lester Westbrook are to be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Westbrook, 76, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005 at Pioneer Nursing Home of Seminole. He was born Jan. 27, 1929 in Trent, Texas to Roy Wilton Westbrook and Laura Geneva (Light).
He married Nellie Marie (Blevins) Carter on Aug. 2, 1970 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Westbrook worked for the City of Ft. Worth as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Temple of Praise Church.
His parents and three brothers, Aubrey Westbrook, Arvil Westbrook and Glenn Westbrook preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife, Nellie Marie Westbrook of Seminole; one stepdaughter, Wanda Turner of Seminole; one brother, Troy Westbrook of Sisco, Texas and several grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104-5097 on behalf of diabetic research.
