Graveside services for lifelong Seminole resident Johnson Alexander are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the family cemetery with Paul Donnie Wolf officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Alexander, 91, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006 at Unity North Health Center in Shawnee. He was a member of the Seminole Nation and was born Dec. 25, 1915 in Seminole County to Rosie Alexander and was given the native name of "Cumseh."
He was a member of the Gar Creek Tribal Ground and belonged to the Mekusukey Band and the Bear Clan of the Seminole Nation.
His mother and two brothers, Tony Alexander and Thomas Jones, preceded him in death.
Surviving is one son Frank Alexander of Seminole; two daughters, Penny Murray and Bessie Alexander, both of Shawnee; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Danny Allison
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident Danny Gene Allison are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, Seminole.
Interment is to follow services at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Shawnee under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Danny Gene Allison, 66, departed this world on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at around 7 p.m., while in Midwest Regional Hospital in Midwest City, Oklahoma (following a valiant fight with respiratory difficulties). He was born Oct. 11, 1939 in Seminole to J.C. Allison and Ernestine Flora May (Martin) Allison.
Dan served in the United States Army for total active service time of near 13 years.
He served two terms in Vietnam earning three Bronze Service Stars to Vietnam Service Medal; Good Conduct Medal Clasp, Bronze three Loops; Sharpshooter (rifle and pistol).
Allison owned and operated Dan Allison Trucks Inc. in Seminole and was of the Baptist faith. He married Else Schieler on Sept. 5, 1961 in Karlsrhue, Germany.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife Else Allison of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Tanna Allison of Seminole, James and Glenna Allison of Seminole, William and Cindy Allison of Seminole and Danny and Linda Allison of Victoria, Miss; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Doris Allison of Seminole, Logan and Debbie Allison of Seminole, Johnny and Cherry Allison of Seminole and Bobby and Diane Allison of Ronen, Mont. and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sharon and Gene Asbury of Taylor Lake Village, Texas and Pam North of Elk City.
In addition, surviving he has nine grandchildren, Pamela, Joseph Allison, Carl Allison, Felicia Corbett, Jody, Candy, Ashley Allison, Stacy Allison, Danny Gene Allison, III and one great-grandchild, Taylor Michelle Allison.
Allan Anderson
There will be no services held for Wewoka resident Allan L. Anderson, in light of his request to be a tissue donor.
OK Cremation and Mortuary Service, Oklahoma City are handling cremation arrangements.
Anderson, 68, died suddenly in his home Thursday, May 25, 2006. He was born Feb. 15, 1938 in Minneapolis, Minn. To Alfred and Ellen Anderson.
He served in the United States Navy for four and one-half years. For the past six and one-half years he lived in Wewoka and owned rental properties.
Surviving is his wife of 18 years, Mary; one granddaughter and one sister, Sharon Lytle of Bakersfield, Calif.
Mary Sylvia Andrews
Funeral services for Seminole resident Mary Sylvia Andrews are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, March 4 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud.
Robbie Whitefield will officiate with interment to follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud.
Viewing has been scheduled for Friday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Family will greet friends from 5 – 7 p.m. at Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Mary Sylvia Andrews passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006 in Seminole, at the age of 92. She was born Sept. 1, 1913 in Nesmit, Ala. to Mahlon David and Sallie Mae (Jones) Judd.
She married William Spencer Andrews in June of 1931 in South Dakota.
She is survived by five sons, Glenn W. Andrew of Maud, Stanley Andrews of Seminole, Edwin and wife Lori of Laverne, Tenn., Lonnie Andrews of Bellflower, Calif., and Danny Andrews of Perris, Calif.; five daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemary and Terry Bryan of Milton, Fla., Edith and Paul Grant of Wardville, Okla., Lydia and Basilio Leal of Shasta Lake, Calif., Georgenia Westfall of Seminole and Sheryl and Larry Cannon of Franklin, Tenn.; one brother and sister-in-law, Emmett and Helen Judd of Oregon, and two sisters; Sarah Jazek of Rapid City, S. D. and Thresia Guy of Tupelo, Miss.
Forty-six grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren also survive her.
Her parents; husband; one son, William Sydney Andrews and nine siblings preceded her in death.
Mary Judd Andrews lived a long life and was loved by all with whom she had contact. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
Casket bearers for the services will be Farron Whitefield, Charles Whitefield, John Whitefield, Edwin Whitefield, Scott Whitefield and Conan Whitefield.
The family will gather at The Golden Corral in Shawnee following the graveside services for anyone who wishes to come and greet them.
Estella Anson
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident Estella M. (Nix) Anson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Osage Hills Church of God of Prophecy in Mannford.
William O. Briggs will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Sand Springs, under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Service of Tulsa.
Anson died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at Cimarron Point Nursing Home in Mannford at the age of 80.
She was born Sept. 23, 1926 in Shidler to Thomas and Blanch Nix.
She lived in Seminole for many years and in Stroud and Drumright before moving to Mannford four years ago.
She married John Anson on Nov. 1, 1962; they were married 58 years before he died four years ago.
She worked as a nurse’s aid in Stroud.
In later life, she enjoyed listening to country music played by bands at senior citizen centers in Mannford, Terlton and Cushing.
In addition to her parents and husband, Anson was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy; one granddaughter; three grandsons; two sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include seven daughters, Elaine (Anson) Standridge and Sondra Lewis, both of Mannford, Cindy Willey of Claremore, Gail Boley of Cushing, Maria Metz of Salina, Deborah Abercrombie of Terlton, and Sherry Millarr of Locust Grove.
She was survived by five sons, Jack of Drumright, John of Mannford, Gary and Paul, both of Shamrock, and Ronnie of Locust Grove.
She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Jackie Lou Argo
Graveside services for Jackie Lou Argo are scheduled 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Michael Vallandingham and Gerald Hill officiating.

Jackie Lou (Brown) Argo, lifelong resident of Wewoka passed away Friday, April 28, 2006 at the Wewoka Nursing Center. She was born Oct. 25, 1928 in Wewoka to John Brown and Bonnie Mae (Coley) Brown.
She married Dallas Owen Argo on June 14, 1949 in Arkansas. Her husband preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1955.
Argo graduated from Wewoka Schools and was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone, retiring after 30 years of service.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wewoka, the Dahlia Garden Club and the Bell Pioneers. She did volunteer work at the Seminole Nation Museum and the Blood Mobile.
Her husband; parents; infant sister, Joyce Ann; brother, Keith Brown; aunts, Gertrude Cannon, Cecile Vasbinder, Lucy McKellop; uncle, Bert Coley, and daughter-in-law Sharon Argo preceded her in death.
She loved her family most of all. After retiring, she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and visiting her sister Malinda and husband Joe Cossey of Tennessee.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Johnita and Dr. Steve Walker; grandson Christopher Owen and wife Kathryn; son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Wendy Argo; granddaughter, Katherine and husband James Keesee; great-grandson, Jackson Paul; grandson, Aaron Dallas Argo; step grandchildren, Tyler and Brandon Benton, wife April and children.
She was anticipating the birth of another great-grandchild in June. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Glen Crowson, Wewoka Nursing Center, and Preferred Hospice for their love and care during mother’s long illness.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Seminole Nation Museum.
Darcy Leigh Arnhart
Funeral services for Seminole native, Darcy Leigh Arnhart were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 at Canadian Full Gospel Church in Canadian with Rev. G. C. Gray officiating.
Interment followed at Bower Cemetery in Eufaula under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Darcy Leigh Arnhart, of Moore, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 at Moore Medical Center at the age of 44. She was born Sept. 19, 1961 in Seminole to Jerry Ronald and Linda Kay (Collins) Arnhart.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Lockhart of the home; son, Jeran Lewis Graham of Asher; daughter, Mandi Starr Arnhart of Chickasha; mother, Linda Arnhart of Canadian; father, Jerry Arnhart of Oklahoma City; grandfather, Harry Arnhart of Seminole; brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Dawn Arnhart and niece Chelsea Arnhart of Moore; aunt, Paula Geuin, who was like a second mother, of Canadian; Darcy’s special friend, Pam Langston of Moore; aunt, Carolyn Sue Collins of Del City; uncle, David Collins of Canadian and a host of other family and friends including special cousins.
Her paternal grandmother, Martha Arnhart; maternal grandparents, LeRoy and Pauline Collins and two uncles, Terry Arnhart and Kenneth Geuin, precede her in death.
Lonnie Arthur
Funeral services for Holdenville resident Lonnie Lee Arthur were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Payne officiating.
Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville.
Arthur, 90, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006 at Holdenville General Hospital. He was born Oct. 20, 1916 in Lamar, Okla. to Wesley and Mamie Camp Arthur.
He worked at Douglass in Oklahoma City before joining the United States Army in June of 1945 and was discharged Aug. 11, 1946.
In 1947, Arthur was employed at the Navy Ammunition Depot in McAlester until 1957 and from there he went to the Federal Aviation Agent in Oklahoma City until he retired in 1972.
After retiring he moved back to Holdenville and was a past Master of the Holdenville Masonic Lodge 123 and a 32nd degree Mason.
In March of 2001 he married Oveleen Hulsey.
His parents; one son, Dewayne Arthur; three brothers, barney, Roy and George Arthur and three sisters, Elizabeth Goodson, Myrtle Guynes and Eva Bradley preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife of the home; one daughter, Docelia Shields of Holdenville; one stepson, Ray Hulsey of Missouri; one stepdaughter, Earlene Hulsey of Oklahoma City; one brother, Wayne Arthur of Abernathy, Texas; one sister, Irene Collier of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
