Eutah Blackburn

Funeral services for lifelong Sasakwa resident Eutah Carl Blackburn are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, Seminole.

Interment is to follow at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.

Blackburn, 65, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006 at Valley View regional Hospital. He was born March 10, 1940 in Sasakwa to Nellie and Jossephine (Eberle) Blackburn and John Ellis Blackburn.

He graduated from Sasakwa High School in 1960 and had lived most of his life in Sasakwa, except for 10 years in which he lived in Oklahoma City and worked for Goodwill.

His parents, three sisters, Inez, Bessie Pearl and "Little Sister" and one brother, Lloyd Douglas Blackburn preceded him in death.

Surviving are three brothers, Donald Blackburn and Jesse Blackburn, both of Sasakwa and Joseph Eugene Blackburn of St. George, Utah and three sisters, Irene Eudaley of Grapevine, Texas, Eula Mae Clark of Oklahoma City and Alvenia Degge of Wewoka.

Casket bearers are to be Donnie Blackburn, Eugene C. Blackburn, Aaron Barker, Jacob Clark, Danny Reggio, David Reggio and Derrick Long.

Honorary bearers will be Steve Eudalay, Kelly Don Blackburn, James E. Clark, Eugene Earl Clark, John Hoyt Clark, Robert Blackburn, John Matthew Clark and Ethan Clark.

Amanda Blanton

Funeral services for Wewoka resident Amanda Jean Blanton are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment is to follow at the Blanton Family Cemetery in Wewoka under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.

There will be visitation held at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Blanton, 24, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006 north of Seminole after a tragic auto accident. She was born Oct. 29, 1981 in Sheridan, Wyo. to Lionel Altop of Kentucky and Tammy Barnes of Dayton, Wyo.

On July 19, 2006 she married Darren Blanton in Wewoka. She loved being a mother to her children and spending time with all of the children in her family.

She graduated Sheridan High School (Wyoming) and attended Seminole State College.

Surviving is her husband, Darren and children, Keyton Nathanial and Makayla Ann Blanton of the home, and by her mother and father.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations please be made to the Amanda Blanton Trust c/o First United Bank, Wewoka.

Darrel Blanton

Funeral services for Seminole County resident Darrell Royce Blanton are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Dan Factor and Nathan Blanton Jr. will officiate with interment to follow at Blanton Family Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Blanton, 59 died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006 in Wewoka. He was born Jan. 7, 1947 in Wewoka to Nathan and Ethel (Davis) Blanton.

He graduated from Butner High School and retired from Seminole County as a grader operator. He was a member of the Butner Baptist Church.

His parents, brother Arthur Blanton, sisters Ann Ezell and Gayla Blanton and grandson, Darrel K. Blanton preceded him in death.

Surviving are seven sons, Darrel L. Blanton, David Blanton, Daniel Blanton, Donald Blanton, Darren Blanton, Douglas Blanton and Alvin Morris, all of Wewoka; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy Hartsfield of Croker, Mo., Virginia Haley of Oklahoma City, Carol Larson of Tecumseh and Linda Shaub of Shawnee and four brothers, John Blanton of Shawnee, Glendale Blanton of Wewoka, Curtis Lee Blanton of Wewoka and Nathan Blanton Jr.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Gore, Dave Chanller, Keith Quinalty, Mickey Ledbetter, Gene Goodnight and Leon Goodnight. Honorary bearers will be Tristan Williams, Kendall Gore, Austin Gore, Lonzo Williams and Mark Green.

Heather McGehee-Blanton
Natalie Rayann Blanton

Funeral services for Wewoka resident, Heather Dawn McGehee-Blanton and her infant daughter, Natalie Rayann Blanton, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parks brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Okemah.

Interment is to follow at Schoolton Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah.

Heather, 17, and her infant daughter died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006 in Seminole County as a result of an automobile accident.

She was born Nov. 28, 1988 in Ada to Donnie Ray McGehee and Peggy Ann (Nickell) McGehee. She attended Okemah and Butner schools.

Heather loved animals and enjoyed playing softball.

Her paternal grandparents, Helen Marie and A.M. Nickell preceded her in death.

Surviving is her husband, Douglas Brock Blanton of Wewoka; her father, Donnie Ray McGehee of Seminole County; mother, Peggy Ann Nickell of Okemah and her paternal grandparents, Birt and Ilene McGehee of Seminole County.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Richard Fairres, Wesley Hester, Bo Hester, Roy Roberts, Herb Pangle and Nolen Grizzle.

Henry Boatman

WEWOKA – Funeral services for Wewoka resident Henry Boatman are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel.

Dewayne Davis will officiate. Burial will follow at Tate Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Boatman died May 13, 2006, at his home; he was 89 years old.

He was born July 27, 1916, to Josh and Henryetta (White) Boatman.

He married Lillian Lucille Smith on Aug. 11, 1945, in Fort Smith, Ark.

They lived in Wewoka all their married life.

Boatman retired from Seminole County in 1978.

He was preceded in death by his wife on June 11, 1996.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna and Dewayne Holland and Barbara and Carl Crelia, all of Wewoka, and Glenna Sneed of Shawnee; two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Iva Gray of Waggaman, La., and Eddie and Cleta Boatman of Seminole; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a close companion, Evelyn Durkee, Wewoka.

Reda Dea Boen

A celebration of life services for longtime Shawnee and Seminole area resident, Reda Dea Boen, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the OK Corral Arena in Newalla.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.

Reda passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006 at the age of 46. She was born on July 10, 1960 in Beaver to Warren Boen and Rose Marie (Villenes).

She was the office manager at Seminole Veterinary Hospital in Seminole for five years.

Reda enjoyed her horses, roping, running barrels, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her brother, Jeff McDonald, and one aunt, Loretta Weir, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her significant other of four years, Chad Williams of the home; son, Chance Griffin of Mayport, Fla.; daughter, Kodee Williams of the home; mother and stepfather, Rose and Gary Gorsuch of Mission, Texas; two brothers, Nick Boen of Denison, Texas and Steve Boen of Texas; three sisters, Crystal Rea of Lincoln, Neb., Gina Little of Pottsboro, Texas and Felicia Rendon of Denison, Texas and a host of other loving family and friends.

Directions to OK Corral Arena, 20450 SE 29th in Newalla, from I-40 are: take exit 117 and go north on Harrah/Newalla Road for three miles to the stop light, take a left at light and go one half mile turning left on Granddaughter Road.

Charlotte Bonin

Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident Charlotte Ann (Stokes) Bonin are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel, Seminole.

Rev. Carl Whitfield is to officiate. Interment is to follow at Konawa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.

Bonin, 63 of Norman, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. She was born Aug. 5, 1943 in Okemah to Carl Russell Stokes and Berniece Ann (Taylor) Stokes.

On April 2, 1963 she married Clifton Adam Bonin in Lawton.

She was a homemaker whose main focus was her family.

Charlotte was a thoughtful, devoted wife and mother that was focused on her children. She provided them with skills and goals to lead successful lives.

Her parents; husband, Clifton Bonin (May 21, 1984) and infant sister, Joyce Kay Stokes preceded her in death.

Surviving Charlotte are two sons, Randy Blackburn of Portland, Ore. and Kevin Bonin of Denver, Colo.; three daughters, Sheri Pietrowicz and husband Shawn of Bamburg, Germany, Sheila Aymond and husband Shawn of Oklahoma City and Lori Bonin of Oklahoma City; brother, Wayne Stokes and wife Donna of Blanchard; sisters, Jean Taylor and husband John of Houston, Texas and Carlene Craddock of Moore.

In addition, one nephew; five nieces; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of other family and friends survive her.

Sharon Kay Book

Funeral services for Seminole resident Sharon Kay Book are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Cline officiating.

Interment will follow at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Sharon Kay (Cloud) Book, 52 years old, passed from this life on Friday, Sept. 15, 2006 in Seminole. She was born Aug. 24, 1954 in Elk City to parents Ruby P. (Dees) Cloud and Henry LeRoy Cloud.

Sharon graduated from Clarksville, Ark. High School in 1972.

She then married Billy Book on Feb. 2, 1973 in Oklahoma City. Together they moved to Seminole where she was a homemaker and later along with her husband started PC-Extreme computer store in Seminole.

Sharon had always, along with her husband and children, enjoyed coaching anything her children or grandchildren were involved in from baseball to soccer and usually had a winning team.

Her parents; three brothers, Willard Smith, Johnny Cloud, Larry Cloud and two sisters; Tammy Cloud and Mary Ellen Cloud preceded her in death.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 33 years, Billy Book of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charley and Yvonne Book and LeRoy Book, all of Seminole and one daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Clint Cain of Seminole.

Also surviving are three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Pauletta Cloud, Jimmy and Cheryl Cloud and Robert and Karen Cloud, all of Elk City; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Joy and Lloyd Carter of Oregon, Nadine Moore and Leona and James Bohannon, all of Elk City, Lucy and Kenneth Clark of Oklahoma City, Mattie and Alvin Jose of Leedy, Okla. and Diana and Ronnie Lansley of Elk City.

Three grandchildren also survive her and were the light of her life; Jimmy Book, Caiden Cain and Zachery Book all of Seminole.

Sheena Booth

Funeral services for Konawa resident Sheena Danea’ Booth are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Community Church in Vamoosa with Rev. Drew Isaacs officiating.

Interment will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.

Sheena, 20, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006 at Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born on Aug. 27, 1986 in Ada to Randy Wayne Hammack and Sheri Renee Nunley.

She graduated from Konawa High School in 2005 and tutored fellow classmates while in school.

She was a more complete young lady that has ever graced this world. Sheena brought more joy and insight to the lives of all who knew her than could ever be put in words.

Sheena had the courage of a warrior, the humility of a missionary and the gracefulness of a dove.

We will all miss you Sheena, and we love you all the way to the constellation Lira, already an angel.

Her father, Randy Hammack; her grandfather, Bob Hammack and two great-grandfathers, Jack Sharber and Josh Nunley preceded her in death.

She is survived by her mother, Sheri Renee Nunley of Konawa; her father, Mark Booth of Norman; stepfather, Tony Taylor; grandparents, Susi and Albert Nunley of Stigler, Grace Hammack of Maine and Elaine Mann of Aurora, Colo.; great-grandparents, Maxine Sharber of Konawa and Delphia Nunley of Ada; two brothers, Brodie Rope Booth and Brady Jack Booth of Konawa; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Sharber, Johnny Sharber, Jason Nunley, Brodie Booth, Brady Booth and Kyle Porter.
