Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Daisy Marie (Shores) Harper, 71, are scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. at the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Ice officiating.
Interment is to follow at the Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Harper died in Midwest City Wednesday. She was born June 25, 1935 to Clifford and Annie (Barker) Shores in Topeka, Kan.
She grew up in the Butner area and graduated from Butner School.
On Sept. 28, 1960, she married John E. Harper in Seminole and they made their home in Wewoka.
She received her Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate from Pontotoc Vo-Tech in Ada and worked for Holdenville Hospital. Later, she did private duty nursing and was of the Baptist faith.
Her parents, her husband, and her sister Mary Elizabeth "Putch" Swope preceded her in death.
Survivors include five daughters, Nancy Fossey, of Oklahoma City, Beatrice Freed of Midwest City, Deborah Avery of Oklahoma City, Claudia Young of Harrah, Jennifer Duvall of Midwest City; three sons, Dean Harper of Castleberry, Fla., Danny Harper of Oklahoma City and Jeffery Lance Harper of Texas; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Leta Smith of Ada, Patricia (Trishy) Burns of Jasper, Texas, Betty Sharp of Eufaula and Katie Reyes of Eufaula; three brothers Frankie Shores of Stigler, Jerry Shores of Stigler, and Clifford Shores Jr. of Konawa.
Pallbearers will be Dean Harper, Danny Harper, Bobby Duvall, Leonard Duvall, Larry Freed Jr. and Johnny Young.
Lillie Harper
Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Lillie Marie Harper were held today at 1 p.m. at Allen Church of Christ, Keith Warren officiating.
Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harper died Saturday, June 10, 2006 at an Allen nursing home. She was born Nov. 13, 1920 in Kemp, Okla. to C.B. and Hattie B. (Bates) Gaines.
She went to Allen in 1991, having moved from Wewoka. She attended school at Albany, Okla. and was a homemaker.
She was a band booster, mom-chauffeur, avid gardener and seamstress, and Ladies Craft and ceramic Class.
On Oct. 18, 1941 she married Melvin R. Harper in Durant and he preceded her in death in Wewoka in October 1990. Mrs. Harper was a member of the Church of Christ.
Her sister, Bonnie Lloyd preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Melva M. Wallis and her husband Don of Allen and Doris Christenberry and her husband Jim of Ada; six grandchildren, Alayna Reynolds of Tulsa, Donna McFerran of Henryetta, Steven Christenberry of Plano, Texas, Stacey Rachel of Wynnewood and Julie Stringfellow of Atlanta, Ga.
Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Laws of Harahan, La. and Esther Lough and her husband Dan of Bandera, Texas and one brother-in-law, Bill Lloyd of Wewoka.
Bearers for the services are Steven Christenberry, David Reynolds, Jeff McFerran, Erik Rachel, Todd Stringfellow, Andrew McFerran and Jacob McFerran.
Jennie Harris
Funeral services for former Sasakwa resident, Jennie Harris, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Wes Martin is to officiate with interment to follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Harris, age 102 died Wednesday in Springfield, Ohio. She was born May 5, 1903 in Windber, Pa. to Gabriel and Tina (Carlson) Lanning.
She graduated from high school in Pennsylvania and went on to graduate from nursing school as a registered nurse.
On Dec. 28, 1921 she married Joseph H. Harris in Columbus, Ohio and was of the Lutheran faith.
Her parents, husband, daughters, Betty Potts and Christine Harris and sons, Harry J. "Buck" Harris and Jack Harris preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Agnes Spriggs of Springfield, Ohio and Geraldine Thomas of Konawa and two sons, Allen E. Harris of Sidney, Ohio and Denzil Harris of Sasakwa.
Jerry Harrison
Graveside services for Holdenville resident Jerry Dean Harrison, brother of Wewoka resident William Harrison, Jr., are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006.
Services will be held at the Hickory Hill Baptist Church Grounds near Fittstown. Rev. Larry Hawkins will officiate. Services are under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home of Okemah.
Harrison died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 in Okemah at the age of 47.
He was born on Sept. 15, 1958 in Ada to William and Mary Harrison.
Harrison lived in the Holdenville area for the last six years after moving from Arizona.
He was a laborer by trade and was a member of the Hickory Hill Baptist Church near Fittstown.
Harrison participated in carpentry, gardening of both vegetables and flowers, dogs, horses and guineas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Raymond Harrison in 2000.
Harrison is survived by one son, Aaron Harrison, Fittstown; two brothers, William Harrison, Jr. and Gary Harrison, both of Fittstown; two sisters, Mary Lou Phillips, Skiatook, and Martha Jean Wilbourn, Okemah; and a host of other family and friends.
Edith Hart
Funeral services for longtime Konawa resident Edith A. Hart are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Larry O. Chesser, Jr. officiating.
Interment is to follow at Konawa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
Hart, 98, of Seminole passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2006 at Seminole Estates Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 12, 1908 in Seminole to John Erving Parrish and Lucy Jane (Crosby) Parrish.
Edith married Layton Samuel Hart on May 29, 1937 in Ada and was a retired schoolteacher and homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Konawa.
Her parents; husband, Layton (July 4, 1990); three brothers, Orvis, Orval and Roy Parrish and four sisters, Pearl Eanes, Tennis Smith, Opal Parrish and Kathryn Walker preceded her in death.
Surviving is one nephew, Joe Walker of Ada and two nieces, Dories Berry and Jackie Walker, both of Konawa.
Pallbearers for the services will be David Smith, Layton walker, Brent Walker, Donnie Delozier, Wayne Delozier and Joe Walker. Honorary bearers will be Gene Eanes, Don Smith, John Parrish, Tommy Parrish and Eddie House.
Rexell Hart
Funeral services for Wewoka native Rexell Hart were held Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Bear Valley Christian Church in Lakewood, Colo.
Burial followed at the Fort Logan Memorial Cemetery, and was under the direction of the Veteran’s Administration with Chaplain Jeffrey Matthews.
Hart was born June 21, 1933 in Wewoka to Leon (Jabo) Hart and Cora Lee Malone.
His parents; one brother, Brice A. Hart; and one sister, Kathamay preceded him in death.
Surviving are two brothers, Douglas Hart of Wewoka, and Orville Hart of San Diego, Calif.
Curtis Dean Haynes
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Curtis Dean Haynes are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Freewill Baptist Church in Prague, Okla. Rev. Frankie Moppin will officiate with Randall Miller, assisting.
Interment will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
A wake service will be held Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Curtis Dean Haynes, 48-years-old, passed from this life Saturday, April 15, 2006 at his home. He was born Aug. 7, 1957 in Los Angeles, Calif. to parents Elmer and Roxie Shirlene (Miller) Haynes.
Curtis lived most of his life in Seminole where he was a self employed maintenance and landscaper. He was a member of the Snake Creek Baptist Church and a graduate of Varnum High School and Seminole State College.
On Nov. 28, 1980 Curtis married Carol Hinds in Prague, she survives him of the home.

Ernie Herriman
Memorial services for Ernie Herriman are scheduled for Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Legion Hut in Konawa.
Ernie was born on Oct. 18, 1932 in Asher, Okla. and passed away on Jan. 3, 2006 at his home in Konawa.
During his lifetime he was a cross-country truck driver and an oil field pumper. He loved hunting and spending time with his family and horses.
His parents Josie and Dave Herriman; sisters, Gracie Foran and Florence Yott and brother Darryl Herriman preceded him in death.
Ernie is survived by sisters, Opal Jolley of Konawa, and Ida Ewing, of Tulare, Calif.; brothers, Dan Herriman of Konawa and Euel Herriman of Coffeyville, Kan.; daughters, Connie Herriman, Patti Beavers and Betty Johnson, of Tulsa, Terrie and James Jones of Nashville, Tenn., Susie and Andy Yott of Konawa and Kim and Kade Sharber of Konawa and sons Ernie (Hotrod) and Sarah Herriman, Dave Herriman and Josh Silkey, all of Konawa.
In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Jeremy, Dusty, Kaylee, Gracie, Justin, John-D, Ashley, Josh, Heather, Matt, Bubba Bruce, David, Josh and Tisha; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews including his special niece Pam Whaler of Konawa, and his special nephew Danny Herriman of Konawa, and a special family friend, Debbie Casteel of Konawa.
Richard Leon Herrod
Funeral services for Calvin resident Richard Leon Herrod will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Tookparfka Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Herrod family cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Wake services will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Revernd Malcolm Tiger and Reverend Joe Bruner will be officiating.
Herrod, 55, died June 12 at the Carl Albert Indian Healt Facility.
Herrod was born March 21, 1951 in Calvin to Robert and Louise Herrod. He grew up in Calvin and graduated from Calvin Schools. He was employed as a ranch hand.
Herrod was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Frank Harjo and Layy Mchee; and one sister, Gladysteen Herrod.
He is survived by seven sisters, Elouise Harjo, Holdenville, Katie Herrod, Leona Herrod, and Estelle Herrod, all of Clavin, Zula Herrod and Frances Herrod, both of Ada, and Minnie Mitchell of Seminole; three brothers, Amos Harjo, Jr., Cyril, Lewis Harjo of Holdenville, and John Herrod of Ada.
Paul bearers will be Robert Harrison, Philip Bear, Josh Harrison, Mitchell Todd Harjo, Kenneth Mehringer, Anthony Fish, Tyrone Washington, Blaine Harjo, Chuck Sweeney, and Jacob Bear.
