Funeral services for former Seminole County resident Gary Keith "Cornbread" Hicks II are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Prague.
Brother Tim Emmons and Brother Jarrod Kendall will officiate the services.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at the Little Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service.
Hicks died Sunday in Shawnee from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born Oct. 13, 1966 in Denton, Texas to Linda Bloomer and Gary Hicks.
Hicks graduated from Strother High School in 1984 where he played baseball and was an "A" student. He worked for Shawnee Milling for several years. Most recently he worked for the Pottawatomie Nation in construction.
His grandparents Earl Robert and Jesse Hicks, and Melvin Montgomery precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Hicks, of the home; his son Tyler Keith Hicks, Lone Grove; two daughters, Kristin Jalae Hicks of Seminole and Bethany Mae Hicks of the home; his mother and stepfather Linda and Gary Bloomer of Seminole; father and stepmother Gary K. and Linda Hicks, Lone Grove; one half-brother Lance Bloomer of Seminole; stepbrother Randy Bloomer, Salado; one stepsister Connie Yeager of Enid; and grandmother Hazel Montgomery of Prague.
The pallbearers are to include Sahne Hicks, Heath Sapp, Ronnie Stewart, Richard Neel, Kerry Dickson, and Michael Sams.
The family requests that memorials may be made to the Gary Hicks Memorial Fund at BancFirst, Drawer R, in Prague.

Annie Hicks
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Annie Hicks are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hitchitee Methodist Church with Rev. T.J. Fixico officiating.
Interment is to follow at Hitchitee Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
A wake service has been scheduled for Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.
Hicks, 72, passed away Friday, Sept. 8, 2006 at Colonial Estates Nursing Home, Seminole. She was born Aug. 27, 1934 in Seminole to Sam Ripley Sr. and Sally (Larney) Ripley.
Annie was a silk finisher for Finley Dry Cleaners in Shawnee for many years. She had started her profession working for the Seminole Cleaners.
She was a member of the Gar Creek Ceremonial Grounds.
Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Rachel Fixico of Wewoka; three sisters, Jennie Ross of Seminole, Fannie Hernandez of Shawnee and Margaret Carney of Oklahoma City and three grandchildren, Michael Fixico of Cromwell, Sarah Fixico of Cromwell and Jeremy Campbell of Wewoka.
Casket bearers for the services will be members of Gar Creek Ceremonial Grounds and honorary bearers will be Rev. Edman Wolf Sr., Ryder Larney, Herbert Jack Larney and Andrew Alexander.
Verena Hicks
Verena Mae (Blaylock) Hicks, 75-year-old longtime Seminole resident, passed from this life June 23, 2006, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.
She was born Feb. 22, 1931, in Maud, to Chester Earl Blaylock and Lessie Ray (Stalnaker) Blaylock.
She lived in Seminole for 35 years, and then moved back to Seminole from Cleveland a few years ago.
Verena retired from home health care and was also a former beautician. She was a member of the Seminole Church of Christ.
Verena is survived by her husband, Bill Hicks, who she married July 20, 1952 in Seminole at the Church of Christ.
Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Stan and Cathy Hicks of Wichita, Kan., and Steve and Bobbye Hicks of Houston, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Anne and David Boyett of Midwest City; one brother and sister-in-law, Del and Lora Blaylock of Alameda, Calif.; and seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, June 26, at the Seminole Church of Christ with Chris Stinnett officiating.
Internment will follow at 2 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland.

Melizzie Jane Hilburn
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident Melizzie Jane (Harjo) Hilburn are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Re. Houston Tiger is to officiate and interment is to follow at Sand Creek Eufaula Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Wake services will be held Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel and Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Sand Creek Eufaula Church.
Melizzie passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006 at her home. She was born June 29, 1957 in Seminole to Cecil Harjo and Mandy (Hulbutta) Williams.
She was married to Charlie Lumpkin for 18 years and had a bachelor’s degree and worked as an LPN for Peak Medical Corporation of Seminole County.
Her father, Cecil Harjo; sister, Pauline Guzman and one brother, Thomas John Harjo preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband, Charlie Lumpkin of the home; mother, Mandy Williams of Seminole; one son, Timothy Fry of Seminole; two daughters, Amy Hilburn of Seminole and Janet Casselman of Tulsa; two brothers, Randy Harjo of Okmulgee and Manuel Guzman of San Jose, Calif. and four sisters, Martha Harjo, Katherine Hicks and Feathers Wolfchief, all of Seminole and Felicia Hicks of Frederick.
In addition, seven grandchildren, Amanda Fry, Stephen Calger, Zachary Casselman, James Kerr, Alicia Gokey and Dayton Gokey; two aunts, Geneva Fox and Marie Barefoot, both of Wewoka and one uncle, Leo Hulbutta of Wewoka survive her.
Pallbearers for the services will be Jimmy Hulbutta, Tommy Hulbutta, Jackie Hulbutta, Jimmy Ray Frazier, Ricky Williams and Casey Hicks. Honorary bearers are to be Leo Hulbutta, Randy Harjo, Manuel Guzman, Adam Kaskaske and Starr Davis.
Betty Hilliard
Graveside service for Wewoka native Betty J. Hilliard are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Chris Brown officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid.
Hilliard, 73, died Monday, March 6, 2006 in Enid. She was born in Wewoka on Oct. 12, 1932 to Henry Albert and Edna Jane (Dunafon) Dinsmore.
She grew up and attended school in Wewoka and on July 17, 1953 she married Jack Hilliard in California, where they made their home.
Later they moved to Lawton and then to Chicago, where she began working for Shell Oil Company. She was later transferred to Houston and worked until her retirement in January 1991.
Hilliard moved to Enid in June 2000 and attended Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church. Her favorite hobby was quilting.
Her parents; husband (June 26, 1999); three sisters, Monie, Blanche and Bertie and one infant brother, James Earl, preceded her in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy Garcia of Vista, Calif., Debra Lowry and Diana Jones, both of Fort Worth, Texas; one son, Donald Hilliard of Cleburne, Texas; two brothers, O.R. "Tokey" Dinsmore and Pete Dinsmore; three sisters, Billie Larson, Laura Good and Glenda Watson, all of Enid; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church or charity of the donor’s choice.
Ara Belle Hobbs
Funeral services for Seminole resident Ara Belle Hobbs are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Home.
Rev. Gary Pollard will officiate. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at Memorial Park, Ada.
Hobbs died Saturday at Unity North Medical Center at the age of 95.
She was born May 27, 1911, in Pontotoc County to Ocie Ola and Callie Elizabeth (Fox) East.
She married Leonard M. Hobbs in 1934.
She was a retired Tinker AFB assembly specialist and a member of Glad Tidings Church. She taught a painting class at the Heritage House.
Hobbs was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two sisters, Lula Keeling, Ada, and Elva Jo Kraeer, McLoud.
Ara Belle Hobbs
Funeral services for Seminole resident, Ara Belle (east) Hobbs, were held today at 2 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Pollard officiating.
A memorial service was held today at 3 p.m. at Memorial Park in Ada under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Hobbs, 95, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006 in Shawnee. She was born May 27, 1911 in Oakman of Pontotoc County to Ocie Ola East and Callie Elizabeth (Fox) East.
In 1934 she married Leonard M. Hobbs in Pontotoc County (Ada).
She was a retired Tinker Assembly Specialist and instructed a painting class at Heritage House in Seminole and was a member of Glad Tidings Church.
Her parents, husband, three brothers, Travis, Lonie and George East and two sisters, Lela Morrison and Jonnie Mae Little, preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sisters, Lula Keeling of Ada and Elva Jo Kraeer of McLoud.
Audie Holbert
Graveside services for longtime Seminole resident Audie Henry Holbert are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Little Cemetery.
Rev. Forest L. Weast is to officiate and services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Holbert, 87, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Unity Health Center in Shawnee. He was born March 7, 1919 in Carnegie to Henry Calvin Holbert and Alma Ethel (Stevens) Holbert.
He moved to Seminole in 1975 and was a member of the Twin Oaks Baptist Church.
He married Phyllis Holbert and she preceded him in death in July 1993.
Holbert retired from McDonnell-Douglas in Long Beach, Calif. as an airline representative.
Surviving is son, Thomas Calvin Holbert of Benson, Ariz.; daughter, Audine Holbert Whitley of Seminole; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Neva Holcombe
Graveside services for Neva Maxine Holcombe of Kansas are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Stockton Cemetery in Kansas.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 – 10:30 a.m. at the Smith-More-Overlease Funeral Home in Stockton, Kan.
Holcombe, 82, died Sunday, June 4, 2006 at the Solomon Valley Manor, Stockton, Kan. She was born Feb. 21, 1924 in Webster, Kan. to Charley John and Eunice Jane (Selbe) McCormick.
She graduated from Webster High School and married William Doyle Holcombe on Aug. 18, 1949 in Phillips, Kan.
Holcombe had been a teacher for a while after her graduation, a cook in Wichita schools and worked as a ladies wear clerk in a department store.
She has also helped her husband in his aircraft inspection business and was a homemaker.
Her parents; one sister, Mabel Lowry; two children, Carol Jean and David Leon Holcombe and one grandson, Gregory Allen Holcombe preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband of the home; son, Garold Holcombe of Maud; daughter, Wilma Maxine Welch of Stockton, Kan.; two grandchildren; one great-grandson and two sisters, Beulah Waters of Stockton and Ruth Miller of Hays, Kan.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
