Funeral services for longtime Maud resident, James "Jim" H. Jones, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist church in Maud with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Connie Ramsey, former Maud Superintendent, will reflect on his life and Judy McGee will provide special music.
Interment is to follow at Cummings Cemetery, Maud under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home, Maud.
Jones, 88, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006 at Parkland Manor Care Center in Prague. He was born Feb. 1, 1925 in Meeker to G.H. and Lillian Jones.
He graduated from Maud High School in 1943 and went on to serve in the United States Army during World War II.
Jones earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
On Jan. 25, 1949 he married Ada "Lee" Rinkle in Holdenville.
He dedicated his life to educating children, first in Holdenville Schools and on to Nowata Schools. He then retired from Maud Public Schools system as an assistant superintendent.
Jones was a football and basketball official for over 30 years and he enjoyed playing golf.
His parents and his wife (April 12, 2004) preceded him in death.
Surviving is his son, James P. "J.J." Jones of Maud and one brother, W.D. "Buddy" Jones of Horseshoe Bay, Texas.
Patsy Jones
Funeral services for Wewoka native, Patsy Jones, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Bath United Church of Christ in Ohio.
Interment is to take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006 at the Lackey Cemetery in Hitchita under the direction of Hampton Mortuary in Checotah.
Jones, 69, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006 in Ohio after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Wewoka to Elizabeth and Elbert (Doc) Lackey.
She graduated from Ferriday, La. High School and attended Louisiana State University where she pledged Alpha Chi Omega.
She was a member of the Bath United Church of Christ, Junior Women’s Civic Club, Women’s Civic Club and a volunteer for the Akron Art Museum.
Her parents and on son, Jeffrey Jones preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband Lowell of the Ohio home; daughters, Jennifer Foss of Ashville, N.C., Julianne Chambers of Macedonia, Ohio; three grandchildren and twin sister, Peggy Blum of Katy, Texas.

Jones, 21, of Shawnee died Monday, Jan. 9, 2006 in Heidelberg, Germany, where he was stationed with the military. He was born March 7, 1984 in Bad Toelz, Germany to Hershal and Leona (Hardcastle) Jones.
He was a 2002 Shawnee High School graduate. Upon graduation he joined the United States Army and served in both Afghanistan and in Iraq with the Airborne Infantry.
His maternal grandmother, Burniece Petray of Seminole; paternal grandmother, Shirley Harrison and paternal grandfather, Alan Jones preceded him in death.
Surviving are his parents, Hershal and Leona Jones; one brother, Eric Jones and one sister, Heather Jones, all of Norman and great-grandmother, Burniece Tull of Shawnee.

In addition, cousins, Barbara, Nicholas and Lillith Goforth of Seminole, Tracy Camp of Texas, Tyler and Cheyenne Hileman of Shawnee, Shawna Baldwin and Amber Richardson of Kentucky, Austin and Brandon Black of Stratford and Branden Camp of Texas also survive him.

Kenneth Jessie Kelly, 78 years old, passed from this life Monday, July 3, 2006 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born Aug. 23, 1927 in Shawnee, to parents Herbert Jessie Kelly and Clara (Walker) Kelly.
Kenneth attended Seminole High School before serving in the United States Navy during the Korean and Vietnam eras, retiring after 30 years earning the rank of HMCM - Medical Assistant.
Mr. Kelly then worked as a realtor at Bryant Realty in Seminole where he was a business partner with Marolyn Bryant for over 22 years.
At the age of 50 Mr. Kelly decided to further his education and earned his associate degree from Seminole State College.
Kenneth was of the Baptist faith. He married his current wife, Gloria (Sabado) Kelly on Oct. 2, 2001 in Seminole.
Mr. Kelly leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Gloria Kelly of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and John Wood of Fairfax, Va. and Toni and Craig LaPoint of Edwards, N.Y.; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Casee and Jon Baker of Rogers, Ark.; five grandchildren, Anne Elizabeth Wood of Fairfax, Va., Katherine Eleanor Wood of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mark Thomas Wood of Fairfax, Va., Shelley Diane Fox of Rochester, N.Y. and Matthew Kelly Fox of Nashua, N.H.
His parents; one sister, Leatrice Ellis and his first wife and the mother of his children, Jacqueline "Joda" (Cruse) Kelly, preceded him in death.
Robert Lee Kennedy
Funeral services for Cromwell resident Robert Lee "Bob" Kennedy are scheduled for Wednesday 2 p.m. at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah.
Interment is to follow at the Highland Cemetery in Okemah. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Rev. Dennis Yeubanks.
Robert Lee "Bob" Kennedy was born Sept. 11, 1944 to Leonard and Hazel Marie (Odom) Kennedy. He passed from this life Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006 at his home in Cromwell at the age of 61.
His work took him to various places in Oklahoma and Texas; and for a time included the oil fields in Saudi Arabia.
He retired from Duke Energy in 2000 and ran B & J Dump Truck Service until November of 2005.
Bob was never at a loss for things to do, and chose to surround himself with family and friends. He was respected and well loved by all who had the pleasure to know him.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister Peggy Hodges.
He is survived by his wife Janita (Taber) Kennedy of the home; his son Rick Kennedy and wife Jeanette of Cromwell, their children, Randall Lee and Amy Marie Kennedy; one daughter, Cheryl Keesee and husband Kevin of Cromwell and their son, Robert Gage Keesee.
When he and Janita married he made a point to include her family as his own, which included Robert and Rhonda Moneypenny and their children, Chelsea Jolley of Runaway Bay, Texas and Lance Jolley of Ada, Oklahoma; Russell and Robin Moneypenny and sons Zane and Riley of Owasso; and Randy and Jan Moneypenny and sons Reese and Andrew of Sauk Rapids, Minn.
Also surviving Bob is his brother, Sam Williamson and his wife Lois of Henryetta; two sisters, Ann Williams and her husband Burt of Manford, Okla. and Helen Tate of Seminole; one brother in law, Virgil Hodges of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and of course numerous nieces and nephews who know they have always held a special place in his heart, and a host of other family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Factor, Pat Curry, Jack Shultz, Bobby Whisnant, and Jeff Sjoberg.
Honorary bearers include: Kenneth Edgemon, Doyle Cook, Leonard Sjoberg, Richard Robinson, Lloyd Sanders, Damon Sanders, Terry Sanders, Johnny Manos, Paul Bourque, Bernie Allensworth, Bruce Finney, and Tommy Bogus.
Agnes Kiker
Graveside services for longtime Seminole resident Agnes Flourine Kiker are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Wolf Cemetery with Rev. Allen Wood officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Kiker, 89, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2006 in Seminole. She was born March 4, 1917 in Hennepin, Okla. to John Robert Braboy and Sara (Donavan) Braboy.
On July 14, 1934 she married Marvin Kiker in Maud and he preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 2005.
She was a resident for over 50 years, a homemaker and member of Wolf Freewill Baptist Church.
One son, two sisters, three brothers and one great-grandson also preceded her in death.
Surviving is son and daughter-in-law, Stan and Norma Kiker of Seminole; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Mike Douglas of Wolf; daughter-in-law, Donna Kiker of Wolf; sister-in-law, Elsie Kiker of Seminole; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Fermina Kilpatrick
Funeral services for Sasakwa resident Fermina Kilpatrick were held today at 2 p.m. at Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Moppin and Billy Joe Harjo officiating.
Interment followed at Fulka-Harjo cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Kilpatrick, 60, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 at Baptist Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born May 24, 1946 in Sasakwa to Andrew and Linda (McGirt) Coody.
She attended Sasakwa Schools and was a member of Springs Baptist Church.
Kilpatrick enjoyed sewing, making blankets, painting and working in her flowerbed. She also enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family hunting for arrowheads.
Her parents; stepmother, Irene Harjo and brothers, Jimmy and Franklin Coody preceded her in death.
Surviving are her sons, Patrick Allen Harjo and Chad Kilpatrick, both of Sasakwa; daughter, Shirl Lea Harjo of Womack, Kan.; brothers, Randy Coody, Herman Coody, Andrew Coody Jr., Clifton Coody and Lee Rogers Puntka; sisters, Lottie Coody of Seminole and Franchette Coody of Wetumka; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and special friend, T.A. Larney.
Pallbearers for the services were her brothers, Randy Coody, Herman Coody, Andrew Coody Jr., Clifton Coody and two nephews, Franklin Coody Jr. and Farentino Coody.

Interment is to follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
King, 70 died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006 at her residence. She was born Jan. 11, 1936 in Seminole to Henry Hopkins and Mary Tressie (Hodges) Hopkins.
She worked for a number of years as a sewing machine operator and before her death she was a health care provider.
In 1956 she married William Scott King and she was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Wanette.
Her parents, husband and two sisters, Juanita Strong and Dorothy Garrison preceded her in death.
Surviving is her daughter Dorothy King; three sisters, Vonda Trivett, Dene Henderson and Theresa Bonner, all of Ada; three brothers, Carl Ralph Taylor and Darl Eugene Taylor, both of Konawa and Robert Samuel Taylor of Shawnee; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the services will be Carl Taylor Jr., Bryan Davis, Lanny Davis, Robbie Taylor, Shaun Taylor and Larry Green. Honorary bearers are to be Phil Rector and Ron Frizzell.
