Funeral services for the infant son of former Wewoka resident, Daphne Lynn Moore, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel in Wewoka.
A wake service will be held at 6 p.m. tonight in the Stout-Phillips Chapel and interment will be at Vamoosa Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Roland Rios Moore was born and passed away on Monday, July 31, 2006 in Oklahoma City. He was the son of Daphne Lynn Moore and Rolando Rios Villa.
Surviving are his parents; grandmother, Tina Moore of Norman; grandfather, Fipriano Rios of Oklahoma City; grandmother, Mariesela Villa; aunts, Alicia Moore and Melissa Wood, both of Oklahoma City; uncles, Michael Moore and Zachary Moore, both of Oklahoma City and numerous aunts and uncles of the Wewoka area.
Ruby Moore
There are no services planned at this time for longtime Seminole County resident Ruby Ellen Moore.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
Moore, 86, died Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Shawnee Care Center, Shawnee. She was born March 6, 1920 near Wewoka to Harvey Adell Lowery and Ruth Izora (Collins) Lowery.
On Oct. 31, 1939 she married Jack Moore in Hot Springs, Ark. and was a homemaker.
Her parents; husband; one daughter, Ann Moore; one son, Michael Jack Moore and one brother, H.A. Lowery, Jr. preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sisters, Violet Goodman of Norman and Maxine Gee of Oklahoma City and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
George Morris III
Longtime Seminole resident, George Leland Morris III, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2006 at the age of 58.
He was born June 8, 1947 to Betty Geraldine (Collis) and George Leland Morris, Jr. in Holdenville.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Cline officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
George married Wanda (Green) Morris on Jan. 21, 1967 in Seminole. He served in the United States Navy and the National Guard and worked in the oilfield for many years.
He is survived by his wife Wanda of the home; mother and father, Betty Geraldine and G.L. Morris of Seminole; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Ronda Morris of Wewoka; daughter, Cindy Wilson of Seminole; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Shirley Morris of Seminole; two sisters and brother-in-law, Charlene Kennady of Seminole and Nancy and Jimmy Frederickson of Earlsboro and four grandchildren, Lacy and Zachary Wilson and Britlee and Gavin Morris.
George is also survived by a host of other family and friends.
His brother, Jerry Morris, precedes him in death.
Pallbearers will be, Doyle Morris, Darrell Morris, Jim Holmes, David Cross, Dennis Ladd, and Jimmy Fredrickson.

A memorial service for longtime Seminole resident George Leland Morris Jr., II, is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Baptist Church, Seminole with Rev. Steve Cline officiating.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Mr. Morris passed from this life Thursday, June 29, 2006 at his home. He was born Dec. 21, 1922 in Hopkins County, Texas to George Leland Morris Sr. and Artie Peral (Arnold) Morris.
On July 30, 1946 he married Betty Geraldine Collis in Holdenville.
He retired as a welder and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church, Seminole.
His parents and two sons, George Morris III (2006) and Gerald Morris (2003) preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife of the home, one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Shirley Morris of Seminole; daughter-in-law, Wanda Morris of Seminole; two brothers and sister-in-law, Odell and Joann Morris of Shawnee and Carl Morris of Seminole; five grandchildren, Cindy Wilson of Seminole, Dinette and Ray Wren of Seminole, Terri and J.D. Stastny of Prague, LeCarol Neill of Seminole and Michael and Rhonda Morris of Seminole; 10 great-grandchildren, Lacy and Zachery Wilson, Josh and John Wren, Britlee and Gavin Morris, Stephen Neill, Legend and Legacy Burrier, all of Seminole and Nathan Stastny of Prague and a host of other family and friends.
Lorene Moore
Funeral services for Seminole resident Lorene Moore are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Chris Stinnett officiating.
Interment is to follow at rest Haven Memorial Garden under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Moore, 87, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006 at Sunset Estates Nursing Home in Tecumseh. She was born Oct. 23, 1918 in Oklahoma to Thomas and Mary Ann (McGeehee) Burton.
She spent most of her life in Seminole and married Russell Charlie Moore on Oct. 31, 1939 in Seminole.
Moore was a homemaker and member of the Seminole Church of Christ.
Her parents; husband (Aug. 12, 1987); three brothers, Roy Burton, Gary Burton and T.A. Burton and one sister, Helen Leedey preceded her in death.
Surviving is one son, Tom Moore of Seminole; two daughters, Mary Jo Greening of Tecumseh and Karen Barkhimer of Wewoka; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers for the services will be Troy Miller, Scott Gray, Robert Akehurst, Berry Fuxa, Ron Burnett and Albert Thornton.
Marvin ‘Cub’ Morris
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Marvin Chess "Cub" Morris are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Mendenhall officiating.
Interment is to follow services at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Cub, 83, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006 at the Norman Veteran’s Center, Norman, Okla. He was born Dec. 21, 1922 in Muldrow, Okla. to William C. and Leaffie (Ross) Morris.
On Aug. 21, 1947 Cub married Violet Morris in Bentonville, Ark. He was a lance corporal in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.
Cub was the longtime office manager of Mistletoe Express (freight company) in Seminole and retired in 1989. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole.
His parent; his wife, Violet Morris (in 1999); one brother, Luther Morris and grandson, Shawn Myers preceded him in death.
Surviving is his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Nancy Morris of Shawnee; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Leonard Myers of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren and spouses, Tony and Kerri Myers, Damon Myers, April and Mike VanAntwerp, Brandi and Brian Abbott and Kendal Myers and five great-grandchildren, Amanda and Tanner Myers, Emily Abbott and Lydia and Olivia VanAntwerp.
Casket bearers for the services will be Tony Myers, Damon Myers, Kendal Myers, Mike VanAntwerp, Brian Abbott and Robert Hawkins.
Elizabeth Moss
Graveside services for longtime Seminole resident, Elizabeth Lenora (Griffin) Moss, are scheduled for 12 p.m. Monday at Maple Grove Cemetery with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Elizabeth Moss, 92, passed away Friday, Nov. 17, 2006 at Seminole Estates Nursing Center. She was born Aug. 6, 1914 in Garvin to Luscius and Katie (Powell) Griffin.
She is a member of the First Baptist Church, Seminole and was retired from Canadian Valley Electric Co-op as a bookkeeper.
Elizabeth has been a resident of Seminole Estates Nursing Center since early 1999.
Surviving is her stepdaughter, Kathy Moss Courtney and family of Yukon; one brother, Leon Penuel and wife, Joyce, of Longview, Texas; sister-in-law, Norma Penuel of Seminole; nieces, Susan Lewellen and family of Mustang, Luanne Langwell and family of Holdenville and Cynthia Grove and family of New Braunfels, Texas; nephews, Kenneth Penuel and family of Seminole and Paul Penuel of Longview, Texas and sister-in-law, Betty Penuel of Shawnee and sons, Donny and Roger Gober and families.
Orville A. Muir
Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Orville A. Muir are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Wewoka.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Muir, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006. He was born Jan. 24, 1909, in Enid and was the youngest of three children.
He graduated from Enid High School in 1927, and he was the president of his senior class. Muir later graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Business Administration in 1933.
Two years later he married Grace Elizabeth Kent. The couple was married for 70 years.
At one time, he had a Furniture and Appliance store in Wewoka. After selling that store, he started the "Muir’s Quick Meal Steak Co.".
In the year of 2000, Orville received a pin for being a member of the Lions Club for 55 years. In 2001, he received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award, the highest award in Lionism.
Muir was active in the First United Methodist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge, served as Wewoka city Finance Commissioner, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of the Hospital Board.
He was on the board of Mark Twain Life Insurance for many years, and was the Wewoka Lions Club President and was later elected District Governor of the 3-K District for the Lions Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Mundell of Lakewood, Colo. and Linda Ferguson of San Dimas, Calif.; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Emma Muirhead
Funeral services for former longtime Butner resident Emma Cleo Muirhead are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at the Wilmont Baptist Church, 6440 S. Santa Fe, Oklahoma City, with her Pastor, Danny Frazee, nephew, Rev. Jess McDowell and great-nephew, Rev. Tyler McDowell officiating.
A graveside service will be held in the Oakwood Cemetery at 2"30 p.m. Monday under the direction of Vondel Smith Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
Cleo Muirhead was born June 26, 1918 and passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2006 after a short illness.
She was currently living in Oklahoma City and recently celebrated her 88th birthday by attending the wedding of her great-grandson in Miami, Fla., then a cruise to the Bahamas with 11 family members.
Cleo was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She was a member of the Wilmont Baptist Church in Oklahoma City and she taught Sunday school classes for many years, and was currently.
Cleo enjoyed her family, crocheting, arts and crafts, made beautiful jewelry, and was an accomplished seamstress. She also enjoyed music and playing the piano.
She attended central state Beauty College at the age of 68 and was awarded a plaque for making the highest score ever recorded at that school.
Cleo loved life, family and friends and still had a great sense of humor. The most important part of Cleo was her deep Christian faith and she enjoyed studying her Bible daily. She loved sharing her faith in Jesus with everyone she knew.
Her parents, Pete and Dessie Harjo; husband, Ples; one son, Joe; one daughter-in-law, Mary Warner; one grandson, Donnie and one sister, Opal Cox, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Jimmy Warner of Wewoka, Alex Muirhead of Norman and Ricky and wife, Rhonda, Muirhead of Oklahoma City; four daughters, Deane Mosley and husband, Leon, of Wewoka, Carolyn Pumphrey and husband, John, of Oklahoma City, Linda Francis of Moore and Norma and husband, Frankie, Shantez of Moore; 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Mattie Dillman of Wewoka and Carrie Ruth McClelland of Farmington, N.M.; one brother-in-law and wife, Dewey and Inez of Wewoka and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
