A cremation service will be announced at a later date by the family of Seminole resident Jacqueline Ann "Jackie" (Gill) Smith.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Smith, 53, died Sunday, July 23, 2006 in Seminole. She was born June 27, 1953 in St. Johns, Newfoundland to Jack Gill and Florence (Oke) Williamson.
She had worked for 23 years in the payroll department at Rose State College in Midwest City. Smith moved to the Seminole area about a year ago from Macomb.
Surviving is her husband, Wayne Smith of the home; her father, Jack Gill of Seminole; mother, Florence Williamson of Guilford, Conn.; one son, Jesse Babb of Norman; one stepdaughter, Malinda Porter of Shawnee; one stepson, Dyan Whitt of Florida; one brother, Jay Williamson of Hartford, Conn.; one sister, Heather Ralston of Hartford, Conn. and four grandchildren.
James Mark Smith
Funeral services for Cromwell resident James "Jim" Mark Smith are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Butner High School gymnasium with Rev. Carl Whitfield to officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Smith passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006 at his home at the age of 52. He was born Aug. 10, 1953 in Bakersfield, Calif. to Curtis R. and Juanita (Wagnon) Smith.
Jim loved his friends and family, especially his grandkids. He loved hog hunting, coon hunting and his new love was of bucking stock and bulls.
He loved to go with the boys to feed the bulls and loved to sit and watch them eat and grow. Jim loved watching the baby calves run and play.
Jim was like a big kid, cutting up and making jokes. He was a person that would never let you go hungry around him, he loved to eat and would buy for everybody.
Jim was a very loving and kindhearted person that never met a stranger. He touched so many lives with his heart of love and giving. We will truly miss him and love him forever.
His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving Jim is his wife, Jayme Smith of the home; sons, James H. Smith and wife Stephanie and Mark Shane Smith and wife Trina, all of Cromwell; daughter, Marisa Murray and husband Shawn of Cromwell and nine grandchildren, Stephen Ray Smith, Kyle James Smith, Blake Andrew Smith, Kyanne Elizabeth Smith, Shyla Ruth Smith, Jacee Breann Murray, Maylee Trena Murray, Tack Murray and Laney Louann Murray.
In addition, two sisters, Joanne McDaniel and Jerry Williams; mother-in-law, Annabell Stanley of Moore; sister-in-law, Vicki Cocknauer of Moore; brothers-in-law, Tommy Stanley, Kevin Stanley and Ricky Stanley, of Newcastle; many nieces and nephews and extended family members which include Ray Billings, Thad Newell, Steve and Mandi Smith, Andy Smith, Lewis Scott of Tennessee and lots of friends survive him.
Jerrie Ruth Smith
A memorial service for longtime Maud resident, Jerrie Ruth Smith, has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Jerrie, 82, passed from this life on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006 at her home in Maud. She was born Aug. 24, 1924 in Shawnee to Lillie (Isenhower) Pounds and Randolph Pounds.
On Jan. 10, 1942 Jerrie married Dewey John Smith in Okemah and they moved to Maud from Norman 63 years ago when Dewey began working as a butcher at the Saint Louis and Maud Copeland’s IGA Grocery Stores.
Jerrie was a homemaker and attended Victory Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of almost 65 years, Dewey John Smith of the home in Maud.
She is also survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Topsey and Albert Flesher of Maud; two grandchildren, Kerry Bruce and her husband, Bill and John Flesher and his wife, Jamie, all of Maud; eight great-grandchildren, Ginger Flesher, John Dee Flesher, Haylee Jo Flesher, Brandi and husband, Leigh Bradley, Mac Mullican, Blake Bruce, Raven Bruce and Hunter Bruce; two great-great grandchildren, Kye Bradley and Ashton Mullican; one brother-in-law, Leroy Smith of Minneapolis, Minn. and a host of other family and friends.
Her parents; brother, Cor’ee Pounds; half-brother, Ged Sigman and sister, Dema Sloan preceded Mrs. Smith in death.
Joe L. Smith
A memorial service for Joe L. Smith was held June 4 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home, San Angelo, Texas.
Smith died May 18, at the Seton Medical Center in Austin.
Smith was born Nov. 7, 1928, in Seminole to Delphia and Mose B. Smith.
Smith served in the World War II in the U.S. Navy. Upon returning from his country in the Pacific, he married Louina King Dec. 21, 1948.
He began work in the oil industry with his dad on cable tool rigs. Smith soon began establishing oil field supply stores in boomtowns in Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, and New Mexico.
In 1962, Smith and his family moved to Midland, Texas, wehre he worked for Cactus Drilling Co. and Warton Drilling Company until 1965 when he established Chaparral Drilling Co.
He continued in the oil business until his retirement in 1983. His retirement was spent in Ruidoso, N.M., Lake Texhoma, and in San Angelo, Texas.
Smith was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harry B. Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Louina Smith; two daughters, Kelly Monroe of San Angelo, Texas, and Shannon Stringer of Arlington, Texas; a brother, Mike Smith, Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Melvin Wayne Smith
Funeral services for former Seminole resident Melvin Wayne Smith were held at the First Assembly of God church in Wetumka.
Services were under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Wetumka, with interment following at the Wetumka Cemetery.
Smith died July 7, 2006, at the age of 56.
He was born to Jake and Paulene Smith on Dec. 21, 1949.
He attended school at Wetumka, graduating in 1968.
Smith then attended college at Okmulgee, and went on to work at Fred Jones Manufacturing in Oklahoma City, before retiring in 1991.
In 1991, he married Seminole resident Jacqueline Collins and had one son.
He is survived by four children: Dillon Smith of Seminole, Deann Johnson, Shawn Smith, and Shannon Procter, all of Okemah; one brother, Leon Smith of Midwest City; and two sisters, Reba Blake of Akransas, and Evelyn Seal of Chandler.
Thurman Smith
Funeral services with military honors for former longtime Seminole resident Thurman Lee Smith are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Home chapel, Seminole.
Doyle Loveland will be officiating with interment to follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Smith, 85, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 in Midwest City. He was born May 17, 1921 in Shawnee to Seaborn Lee and Mary Magdeline "Maggie" (Pinkard) Smith.
He married Elizabeth "Betty" Eileen Gendron on March 12, 1946 in Fresno, Calif.
Smith lived most of his life in Seminole before moving to Midwest City in 1971, where he retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1975.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1942 – 1945, serving during World War II.
His parents; wife (May 17, 1944); two sons, Tommy Smith and Gary Smith; one brother, Raymond Smith and one sister, Sylvia Jackson preceded him in death.
Surviving is his special friend, Evelyn Sherill of Del City; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Wanda B. Smith
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Wanda B. Smith are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Tim Tate officiating.
Interment is to follow service at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Smith, 75, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006 at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City after suffering from a battle of ALS (Lou Gherigs Disease).
She was born Nov. 4, 1930 in Maud to Troy Allen Williams and Myrtle Ava (Terry) Williams. Smith moved to Seminole from Lubbock, Texas in 1967.
Smith worked at Granny Fern’s Café for 12 years and then at Central Drug for 12 years. In addition, she worked in housekeeping at the old Seminole Hospital for 13 years and then three years as a salad maker in the new Medical Center.
She married James Smith and he preceded her in death on April 11, 1999. Her parents also preceded her in death.
Smith was active in the Seminole Senior Citizen Center and worked as a "Pink Lady" in the Seminole Medical Center. She was a member of the "Red Hat" Society of Seminole and of the Assembly of God Church.
Surviving is one daughter, Mary Black of Seminole; one brother, Roger Williams of Oklahoma City; one sister, Lavell Jones of Rock Springs, Wy.; two granddaughters; six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Casket bearers for the services will be Cory Canfield, Michael Canfield, Elwood Canfield Jr., Mickey Shaw, Terry Little and Pastor Doyle Long.

Donna Deloris "Audie" snider passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with illness.
She was born Nov. 23, 1942 in Maud to Franklin G. "Grimmie" and Loretta (Freeman) Butler.
She attended Shawnee Public Schools and later received her GED from Wewoka Public Schools, and studied bookkeeping and tax records at Seminole Junior College.
She recently retired as office manager/partner of Snider Printing Company due to poor health. Her former employers were Big Yank, Wewoka Custom Size and Wrangler in Seminole.
Donna "Audie" was raised in Shawnee and she was a member of the Wewoka community since 1963.
She was a member of the Wewoka Band Boosters, Wewoka Quarterback Club and the First United Methodist Church, Wewoka.
She was an avid reader, loved to spend time with her grandchildren and enjoyed growing houseplants and herbs, camping and fishing at lake Tenkiller. She was an Eagle Scout Mother.
Donna and Floyd Snider were married Sept. 1, 1961 in Shawnee and two children were born to this union. They would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in two weeks.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Survivors include husband, Floyd Snider Sr. of the home; son, Floyd Snider Jr. and wife carina of Wewoka; daughter, Donita Loman of Wewoka; grandchildren, Melody Burgin and husband Christopher Burgin, Sunnie Snider, Trenton Miller and Bryson Miller’ great-grandchild, Donna Burgin; brother, Grover Butler of McAlester and sister, Darla and husband Ray Fountain of Dickson, Okla.
Pallbearers will be Randy Chaney, Charlie Chance, Raymond Cain, Paul Loeffelholz, Keith Claybrook and Robin Chesser.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Williams, Darryl Uptegraft, Curtis Baker, Jeff Kanard, Steven Edwards, Bruce Wilkerson, Terry Miner, Mike Carter and Ken Chanthavisouk.
Arvel Snow
Funeral services for longtime Konawa resident Arvel Lee Snow Jr. are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa.
Interment is to follow at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
Arvel Lee Snow, Jr. died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006 at his residence outside of Konawa at the age of 57. He was born June 4, 1949 in Oklahoma City to Arvel Lee Snow Sr. and Martha Mae (Davis).
On June 13, 1968 he married Frances Barber in Oklahoma City. He was a truck driver for Wrangler (VF Jeanswear) in Seminole for many years and retired from there in 2004.
His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Arvel Snow III and his wife, Serena, and Timothy Snow and his wife, Keri, all of Konawa; one sister, Barbara Barksdale of Allen, Okla.; mother-in-law, Mary Barber and six grandchildren.
