Daniel Boone "D.B" White passed away, Thursday, May 25, 2006, in Norman at the age of 70.
He was born on July 21, 1935 in Tribbey, to Daniel Boone and Mary Bethel (Ray) White.
He married Johnnie Sue (McDaniel) on Dec. 6, 1956, in Ada.
He was retired from the United States Air Force, and while in the air force he was a staff sergeant with the 461 Combat Defense SQ SAC Strategic Air Command.
He was military disabled.
He was a member of the Dav-Lifetime member of the disabled association of Veterans.
He served as a deacon at the Free Will Baptist Church and was a longtime member of the church.
White loved hunting and fishing, working on his property, spending time with his family and puppies. He loved get-togethers and cookouts.
He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Sue White of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Zane and Diana White of Seminole; three daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanna and Cam Dooley of Yukon, Laurie and Ronnie Calaway of Yukon, and Kathy White Richmond of Seminole; two brothers, Thomas White of Seminole, and Burney White of Shawnee; three sisters, Marqueriette Wilson of Earlsboro, Oleta McFatridge of Ardmore, and Aline; one special sister-in-law, Louise White; seven grandchildren, Amber White, Heather White-Richards, Cama Dooley, Jonathon Calaway, Megan Calaway, Dayna Grandstaff and Trey Richmond; two great grandchildren, Britton Richards and Austyn Lee White-Richards, the sunshine of his life.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at the Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. David McDougal officiating. Interment will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery in Tecumseh.

Wayne Aldridge
Graveside services for lifelong Seminole County resident Wayne Aldridge are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Sand Creek Cemetery, Cromwell.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Aldridge, 87, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006 at his residence. He was born Nov. 7, 1918 in Okemah to L.N. and Mary Aldridge.
On Jan. 10, 1942 he married Grace Robertson in Okemah.
He was retired from Tinker Air Force Base and had spent much of his life farming and raising cattle.
Aldridge was a veteran of World War II and had been deployed to Casa Blanca, Morocco on Nov. 8, 1942 and then on the North African campaign, to the invasion of Sicily, to Italy and to Northern France in the winter of 1944.
In May of 1945 he was deployed to Darmstadt, Germany for the Battle of the Bulge. He returned Oct. 5, 1945 as a tech sergeant with the 927th Signal Corp. of the United States Air Force.
His brothers, Jack, Marlin, Cliff and Matt Aldridge and two sisters, Clara Glenn and Alice Browning preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife, Grace of the home; two sons, Ronald and Harold Aldridge, both of Okemah; brother, Alvis Aldridge of Tulsa; four grandsons, one granddaughter and six great-grandchildren.
Wanda Whiteker
A private memorial service has been scheduled for former Sasakwa resident Wanda (Epperley) Whiteker for 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Whiteker, 76, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006 at her home in Middleburg, Fla. She was born in Sasakwa on Sept. 18, 1929.
She and her family moved to Wewoka and then on to Muskogee, where she graduated from Central High School in 1947.
Whiteker worked for Southwestern Bell telephone Company.
On May 11, 1955 she married Dean Whiteker and they moved to Panama City, Fla. in 1979.
Surviving is daughter, Kevin (Whiteker) Musgrave and one grandson.
Frances Whitford
Funeral services for Seminole resident Frances Belle Whitford are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Clark to officiate.
Interment is to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Whitford, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 at her home in Seminole. She was born Sept. 8, 1923 in Neodesha, Kan. to Buford V. Vermillion and Samantha Jane (Hughes) Vermillion.
She moved to Seminole in the summer of 1929 and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and went on to attend Business College.
On Dec. 26, 1942 she married George W. Whitford in Wewoka.
During the war, she worked at Douglas Aircraft and lived in Oklahoma City until 1945.
In 1945 her husband returned from overseas duty and they made their home in Seminole where she worked as a secretary for Baker Oil Tools and then as a clerk for Sullivan-Dollar Insurance Company.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole, where she taught in the children’s department. Whitford held several different offices while she was a member of WMU for many years.
Whitford has been a Rainbow Girl and enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, sewing and fishing.
Her parents and husband (Sept. 23, 1999) preceded her in death.
Surviving is her daughter, Marsha Schneiter of Oklahoma City; one sister, Marie Harris of Edmond; two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
Honorary bearers for the services will be Ralph Mason, Dale Eason, Pinky Coates, John W. Harris, lance Schneiter and Trent Schneiter.
Betty Jean Whitt
Funeral services for Konawa native Betty Jean Whitt are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, Seminole with Rev. Gary Pollard officiating.
Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Betty Jean "Pat" Whitt, 75-year-old longtime Oklahoma City resident passed from this life Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006 in Seminole. She was born March 2, 1931 in Konawa to parents Fred S. Snell and Dora Gertrude (Mosley) Snell.
Whitt retired as an interior decorator and moved to Seminole from Oklahoma City in 2004.
Her mother, Dora Snell (1976); father Fred S. Snell (1986); three sisters, Helen Boyd (1986), Shirley Snell and Dortha Lee Snell preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Tana Bright of Blanchard; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jim Halstead of Oklahoma City; one brother, Bill Snell of Seminole; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Carl Seyfert of Seminole, Nona and Vernon James of Seminole and Johnnie and Ed Hailey of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Amy Barnes, Kelly Bright, Kim Ricketts, Jeff Bright, Shaney Dillon, Don Billingsley and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to mention special caregivers for the loving care they have given Mrs. Whitt; Joy Evans, Linda Howell, Beverly Holmes, Mary Nottnagel and Marcene Roberson and Shirley Bryant.
Casket bearers will be Jeff Seyfert, William Snell, Jeff Bright, Mickey Hallmark, Jackie Boyd and Don Billingsley.
Honorary bearers will be Jerry Boyd, Wayne Snell, Aaron White, Brandon White, Todd Dillon, Vernon James, Carl Seyfert, Ed Hailey and Jimmy Halstead.
James Louis Whitt
Funeral Services for long time Seminole resident James "Jim" Louis Whitt are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church of Seminole.
Presiding over the services are Rev. Gary Wilburn and Rev. David Karges. Interment is to follow at Stroud Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Jim died at the age of 81 while under the care of Norman Regional Hospital.
He was born Oct. 4, 1924 in Stroud to Rosco B. Whitt and Drusilla Maye (Worthington) Whitt. Both parents preceded him in death, one infant son also preceded him.
Jim married Thelma Mae Russell on Dec. 25, 1943. They have been married for 62 years, moving to Seminole in 1946 where they have been residents for 60 years.
Mr. Whitt Graduated from Lawton High School and joined the Air Force where he made sergeant as a gunner on a B24.
Jim was past president of the Band Club and Lions Club in Seminole. He is also a former member of the Seminole Bass Club and Fellowship Class of the First United Methodist Church. Jim also enjoyed his volunteer work at the Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Whitt of the home; one daughter, Jeanne (Whitt) Terry and son Tommy Whitt and his wife Tena all of Seminole.
Also surviving are grandsons, Ryan Terry, Eric and T.J. Whitt all of Seminole and granddaughter, Saundra (Whitt) Thompson of Jennings, Okla. and nine great-grandchildren.
Casket Bearers will be, Eric Whitt, Ryan Terry, T.J. Whitt, John Thompson, Shane Richardson and Caleb Whitt.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be, Leon Freeman, Claude Cornelison, Buster Wilcox, Herb Gunter, Bob Webster and Bob Lennard.
Visitation with the family is scheduled for Sunday 12 – 8 p.m. and until service time on Monday.
Weldon Willbanks
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Weldon C. Willbanks are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Interment is to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Willbanks, 83, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006 in Seminole. He was born Dec. 5, 1922 in Alvord, Texas to Tom C. Willbanks and Loveta (Limberg) Willbanks.
He graduated from Frederick High School and attended a trade school in Pueblo, Colo.
Willbanks served in the United States Army as a private during World War II and was a self employed rancher and welder.
He married Alice Marie Willbanks on Feb. 20, 1956 in Castlerock, Colo. and she preceded him in death on Aug. 3, 2002.
Willbanks moved to Seminole in 1972 from Cortez, Colo.
His parents and one brother, Fred C. Willbanks also preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, Gary Willbanks of Bowlegs, Randy Willbanks of Seminole and Earl Willbanks of Riesel, Texas; four sisters, Ernestine Little of Scottsdale, Ariz., Imogene Schrick of Weatherford, Texas, Betty Kiker of Hereford, Texas and JoAnn Woods of Frederick; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested that contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
