Cynthia Williams

Funeral Services for longtime Seminole resident Cynthia Ann Williams are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Fellowship Church with Rev. Mickey Keith officiating.

Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Garden in Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.

Cynthia passed away Monday, March 27, 2006 at the age of 55. She was born on June 6, 1950 to Waldo Amiel and Betty Jean (Larkin) Smith in Clayton, N. M.

She was a graduate of Beaver High in 1968 and received a mud-engineering certificate and associate’s degree from Seminole State College.

She was very active with the Chocolate Festival and the Sound of Music with the Seminole Arts Council, she was active in raising thousands of dollars for the American Heart Association, and was a member of the Legislative Wives "Ohoyahoma" Association where she organized several style shows.

In addition, she was a former member of the Seminole Democratic Women’s Association.

Cynthia met and married Danny Williams on Nov. 21, 1981 in Sherman, Texas. They were married for 25 years.

She was the property owner and manager of Williams’ properties with her husband. Danny and Cynthia were charter members of the new Tri-City Christian Center.

Her last activity was preparing for the upcoming Easter Holiday for her family prior to her accident.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Williams of the home; parents, Betty and Amiel Smith of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; daughter and son-in-law, Codi and Tony Winters of Tulsa; three sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Christie Chockley of Tulsa, Kevin and Micki Williams of Ada and Jason and Angelique Williams of Pink, Okla.; one brother, Mark Smith of Tulsa; two sisters, Ollie and husband Bret Sumner of Highlands Ranch, Colo. and Amy Smith of Littleton, Colo.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Larkin Winters, Ciaran Winters, Mara Winters, William Chockley, Jesse Chockley, Caleb Williams, Hayley Williams, Melanie Landis and Courtney Landis, and two grandchildren to be born in June and September of 2006.

Casket Bearers will be Marvin Botsford, Sam Mansell, Charley Ballou, Bruce Cantrell, Willie Rinderer and Roger Streetman. Honorary Bearers will be Tony Winters, Andy Chockley, Jason Williams, and Kevin Williams.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made to the Seminole Art’s Council, P.O. Box 212, Seminole, OK 74868 and the American Heart Association. P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-1653, in her memory.

Esther Williams

Funeral services for lifelong Seminole County resident Esther Lee Rodden-Williams are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel, Konawa.

Interment is to follow services at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.

Rodden-Williams, 95, died Monday, March 27, 2006 at her Konawa residence. She was born Sept. 23, 1910 in Friendship, Okla. to John Robert Owen and Ida Mae (Reed) Robertson.

On Nov. 26, 1924 she married Arville Rodden in Konawa and he preceded her in death in 1973. She married Sidney Williams in 1980 in Byng and he preceded her in death in 1983.

She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ in Sasakwa.

Her parents; husbands; one daughter, Jean Jackman and two grandsons, Rodney Biege and Michael Zweiacher preceded her in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Madge Anders of Konawa, Alice Watters of Sasakwa and Deborah Hays of Skiatook; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two great-great grandchildren.

Glenn Williams

Funeral services for longtime Wewoka resident Glenn Allen Williams were scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Larry Chesser officiated and interment took place at Oakwood Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Glenn, age 64, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2006 at his residence. He was born Oct. 14, 1941 in Wewoka to Wiley and Jewell (Bradley-Kiker) Williams.

He graduated from New Lima High School and on Aug. 12, 1960 he married Shirley Ailshie in Poteau.

Williams owned and operated Glenn’s Meat Processing.

His father and his wife (Aug. 12, 2004) preceded him in death.

Surviving is his mother, Jewell Bradley-Kiker of Wewoka; sons, Gary Williams of Seminole and Wesley Williams of Wewoka; daughter, Glennda Belcher of Chandler, Ind.; two brothers, Herbert Williams of Seminole and Bobby Williams of Little; five grandchildren, Tisha, Dakota, Marissa, Tiffany and Dustin; and five great-grandchildren, Randy Jr., Addison, Jaidyn, Tawna and Dakota.

Pallbearers for the services were Billy Williams, Jim Chadick, Zane Smith, Dustin Williams, Matt Williams and Randal Robinson.

Honorary bearers were Michelle Kelly and Latricia Robinson.

J.O. Wilson

Graveside services for Wewoka native, J.O. Wilson, were held today at 2 p.m. at Vista Cemetery, west of Konawa.

Services were under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.

Wilson, a longtime Oklahoma City resident, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 81.

He was born Feb. 23, 1925 in Wewoka to S.J. and Emmie (Lewis) Wilson and on Dec. 9, 1949 he married Joyce Katherine Star in Asher, Okla.

Wilson ran mule teams in the logging fields and was a self-employed tree trimmer.

His parents; wife, Joyce Wilson (November 2001) and one brother, Frank Wilson preceded him in death.

Surviving are three sons, Jerry Dean Wilson, Clovis Wilson and Kenny Wilson; one daughter, Annette Raney; one sister, Lorene Green; two half-brothers, Henry and Jesse Wilson; three half-sisters, Mae Ranells, Dorothy Nall and Geraldine and four grandchildren.

James ‘Marty’ Wilson

Funeral services for lifelong Konawa resident James Martin "Marty" Wilson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Konawa High School PAC building with Father Matthew Brown, O.S.B. and Joe Semtner to officiate.

Wake services are scheduled for today at 7 p.m. at Swearingen Chapel, Konawa. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.

Wilson, 39, died Friday, March 3, 2006 in Konawa. He was born Oct. 8, 1966 in Oklahoma City to Frank R. Wilson and Lee (Platt) Wilson.

On Jan. 6, 1996 he married Melissa Lowry in Konawa and was an insurance agent. He had two bachelor’s degrees, pre-med from east Central University in Ada and business from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

Wilson was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Konawa.

His grandparents, Raymond and Esther Wilson preceded him in death.

Surviving is his wife of the home; two daughters, Mikala and Mikinley Wilson of the home; his parents, Frank and Lee Wright; four brothers, Frank Wilson Jr. of Konawa, Dusty Wilson of Oklahoma City, Darin Sharp of Dallas, Texas and Chris Sharp of Oklahoma City and his grandmother, Ruby Claborn of Konawa.

Pallbearers for the services will be Todd Jesse, Curtis Radford, Kip Whitekiller, Scott Gentry, Michael Sharp, Paul Gilbert and Mark Stoup.

Honorary bearers will be Jason Lowry, Chris Huckaby, Jim O’Neal, Curtis Wilson, Kevin Wilson, Ed Fixico and Gus Porter.

Kate Helen Wilson

Funeral services for longtime Wewoka resident Kate Helen Wilson are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church Wewoka, with Chaplain Chris Finley officiating assisted by Rev. Michael Vallandingham.

Interment is to follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillip Funeral Home.

Wilson passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2006 in Oklahoma City, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on May 28, 1916 in Castle, Okla. to Robert Liles Orr and Thula Josephine (Caroll ) Orr.

Helen was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Wewoka. Helen "Mema "was kind, gentle, and caring person who was ready to help anyone that needed it.

She loved to fish, cook, and garden but most of all; she loved her children and grandchildren.

On New Years Eve 1933 she married Claude Wilson and they lived happily together for 63 years until Claude’s death in 1996.

Her parents and one brother Virgil Orr also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son Gary of Charleston, S.C.; daughter Joann Dinwiddie and husband Jerry of Yukon and four grandchildren, Tammy Roberts, Greg Dinwiddie, David Wilson and Paul Wilson.

Helen was blessed with five great-grandchildren, Courtney Dinwiddie, Calum, Callie Roberts, Anderson and Christian Dinwiddie.

Brothers Robert and Wallace Orr and sister Perlene Boykin, also survive her.

She was loved and will be missed by all she has left behind.

Pallbearers will be Paul Wilson, Greg Dinwiddie, Kendall Roberts, Calum Roberts, Steve Walker, and Pat Miner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Hill, Max Filson, Earl Bevelhymer, Paul Loeffelholz, and J.M. Windle.

Wanda Wilson

Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Wanda Charlene Wilson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church with Steve Cline officiating.

Interment is to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Wilson, 72 passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006 in Oklahoma City. She was born June 17, 1933 in Lorenzo, Texas to Homer Dan Ogle and Jessie Pearl (Mull) Ogle.

She married Bill Wilson June 2, 1949 in Olton, Texas and was a homemaker. They have lived in Seminole for the past 40 years.

Her parents, Homer and Jessie Ogle preceded her in death.

Surviving is her husband, Bill Wilson of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joel Wilson and wife Cindy of Shawnee and Phillip Wilson and wife Vicki of Seminole; one daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Genoff and husband Tony of Bixby; one brother, Arthur M. Ogle of Clovis, N.M.; two sisters, Charlotte Craig of Clovis, N.M. and Oleta Klett of Greeley, Colo. and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers for the services will be Jack O’Daniel, Barry O’Daniel, Steve O’Daniel, Kevin O’Daniel, Chuck Anderson and Terry Morris. Honorary bearers will be Carl McMillion and Alvin Yoesel.

Woodrow Harper

A private family service will be held for Cromwell resident, Woodrow Wilson "W.W. /Shorty" Harper, following cremation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.

Harper died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the Norman Veteran Center at the age of 93. He was born Nov. 19, 1912 in Scott County, Ark. to George E. and Jessie (Whitlock) Harper.

He served in the United States Army Air Corp as a corporal during the Philippine Liberation.

On June 12, 1981 he married Patricia Lewis Harper in Idabel.

Harper was a truck driver and later owned and operated Harper’s Grocery Store in Alvion, Okla. He attended the Cromwell Church of Christ.

His parents; first wife, Edith Harper (1980); five brothers, Bill, Gene, Everett, Elmer and Ed Harper and stepsister, Georgia King preceded him in death.

Surviving is his wife of the Cromwell home; two half-sisters, Ann Garrison and Gladys White, both of Clayton, Okla. and three grandchildren.
