Graveside services for Seminole resident Jonathan Owen Woodruff are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Woodruff, 24, died Friday, June 9, 2006 in an auto accident in Seminole County. He was born Aug. 18, 1981 in Festus, Mo. to Charles Franklin Woodruff and Penny Susan (Dallas) Woodruff.
He was a member of the Highland Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Mo. and was a member of the Seminole Masonic Lodge.
Woodruff was working as an equipment operator for Seminole County.
His grandparents, Clarence and Patricia Dallas preceded him in death.
Surviving are his parents, Charles and Penny Woodruff; wife, MeLanie (Worley) Woodruff; one son, Chad Woodruff; two daughters, Myra Woodruff and Paris Susan Meleigh Woodruff; brother, Matt Woodruff, all of Seminole; grandparents, Frank Woodruff of Seminole and Tommie Wibble of Hillsboro, Mo. and step-grandfather, Royce Wibble of Hillsboro, Mo.
Casket bearers for the services will be Donny Gleason, Josh Fowler, Matt Woodruff, Jeremy King, Jason Phillips and Charles Woodruff.
Harvey Woody
Graveside services for lifelong Seminole resident Harvey H. Woody are scheduled at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Seminole.
Pastor Tommy Clark will officiate the services.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Harvey H. Woody, 83, passed away at his home Friday, July 7, 2006. He was born Feb. 13, 1923 in Possum Trot, Okla. (near Shawnee), to James Monroe Woody and Rosa Denton (Maness) Woody.
Woody had served in the United States Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole.
He married Nova Helen (Branscum) on Dec. 18, 1947 in Stroud. He worked at Kerr-McGee from 1947 until his retirement in 1983 as superintendent of the Seminole pipeline district.
Woody leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Nova Woody of the home; son-in-law, Ron Sheppard of Seminole; three sisters, Lou Harris of Mustang, Edie Butler of Campwood, Texas and Louise Totten of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Nova Dawn Bivens and her husband John of Seminole and Michelle Simmons of Seminole; four great-grandchildren, Lindsey Granados and her husband Ian of Gulfport, Fla., Grant Bivens of Seminole, Jessie Simmons of Kilgore, Texas and Jamaie Simmons of Kilgore, Texas; one great-great grandson, Jordon Simmons-Gordin of Kilgore, Texas.
His parents; one daughter, Wanda Lee Sheppard; three brothers, Malcomb, Dan and Earl Woody and one sister, Mamie Maynard preceded him in death.
Honorary bearers for the services will be; Grant Bivens, Ron Sheppard, J.D. Branscum, Ray Hall, Danny Woody, Johnny Branscum, Wade Prater, Skip Branscum, W.R. Branscum, Dana Woody, Lester Merrill, Phil White, Johnny Branscum, Marvin Dunn and Cecil Spoonemore.
Justin Wright
Funeral services for Konawa High School graduate, Justin Richard Wright, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Garden City, Kan. with Pastor Lyle Stuehrenberg officiating.
Interment is to follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City under the direction of Price & Sons Funeral Home, Garden City.
Wright, 22, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident south of Deerfield, Kan.
He was born July 27, 1984 in Garden City, Kan. to Richard D. and Debby K. Jones Wright.
Wright had been a resident of Garden City for most of his life moving to Konawa in 2001.
He attended and played baseball for Konawa High School and graduated from KHS in 2003. Wright was a past officer of the FFA of Konawa.
Following graduation he moved back to Garden City and attended Garden City Community College for two years.
He was a mechanic and fabricator for American Canvas in Garden City and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the High Plains Archery Club, both of Garden City. Wright enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his parent, Richard and Debby Wright of the home; two sisters, Brandi Wright and Jaclyn Vargas and grandparents, David and Elva Lee Wright and Thomas and Verneta Jones, all of Garden City.
Memorials may be given to the Justin Wright Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main Street, Garden City, KS.
Rella J. Wyatt
Funeral services for Seminole resident Rella J. Wyatt are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at the Seminole Church of Christ, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Chris Stinnett is set to officiate the service. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens east of Seminole.
Wyatt died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, in Seminole, at the age of 78.
She was born June 27, 1928, in Drumright, to Leo Cawdell and Eva (Shaffer) Hunt.
On April 22, 1972, she married Lee Wyatt in Shawnee.
Rella Wyatt was the Seminole County executive director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 28 years, retiring in 1988. She worked in the area of Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation.
She was a member of the Church of Chris in Seminole, and was active in volunteer work at the church. Wyatt was also active in the Brother’s Keeper group.
Wyatt participated in quilting, and helped her husband repair old furniture.
She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Ott, on Oct. 31, 1997; four brothers; and her parents.
Wyatt is survived by her husband, of the home in Seminole; three daughters, Jann Bush of Shawnee, Lori Flowers of Shawnee, and Jeannie Wynn of Choctaw; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Charles R. Yahola
Funeral services for Wewoka native, Charles R. Yahola, 68, Ada, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Central Church of Christ, Bud Ross and Floyd Kaiser officiating.
Burial follows at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka, under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home, Ada.
Yahola died on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at his home. He was born March 5, 1938, in Wewoka to Alonzo and Florence Price Yahola.
He graduated from Cromwell High School in 1956 and moved to Ada from Cromwell.
He attended the University of Oklahoma from 1957-1958 and was a CLEET Certified Security Guard.
Yahola served in the Army National Guard, receiving an honorable discharge in August 1962.
He was a member of the Ada Chamber of Commerce, the Kiwanis Club of Ada, and was active in the Kiwanis Ball Park.
Yahola was the manager of C. R. Anthony’s from 1956-1988, and worked as an armed security guard at the Chickasaw Trading Post.
He was a member of Southwest Church of Christ and had previously served as an Elder at Central Church of Christ for many years.
On Feb.11, 1959, at Cromwell he married Phyllis Sharon Halk. She preceded him in death on Nov.15, 1990, in Ada.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Yahola, Oklahoma City, Cherry Bennett, Allen and Debbie Yahola, Ada; two grandchildren; one brother, James Yahola, Moore and two sisters, Connie Kimbrough of Houston, Texas and Lois Yahola, Cromwell
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tom Yahola, Cromwell.
Bearers are Bob Hester, Bill Adams, James Sherrell, Richard Yahola, Mark Cox, Jerry Walker, David Yahola and Tom Stephens.
Glenda Jolene Yancey
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident Glenda Jolene Yancey are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Doyle Long to officiate.
Interment will follow services at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Yancey age 60 passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 at Unity North Hospital in Shawnee. She was born March 10, 1945 in Seminole to Joseph Charles Hendricks and Martha Ann Elizabeth (Cook).
She married Don Ray Yancey in Ada on Nov. 13, 1969 and worked as a nurse at Wewoka Nursing Center.
Glenda was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Seminole.
Her parents and two sons, Joseph Paul Yancey and Clifton Ray Yancey preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband of Seminole; two sons, Kevin Yancey of Yukon and Phillip Yancey of Fayetteville, Ga.; three daughters, Brenda Sue Trammell of Eufaula, Donna Arnold of Holdenville and Sharon Johnston of Boise City, La.; one brother, Cliff Hendricks of Midwest City; two sisters, Maurine Wilkerson of Seminole and Claudia Godwin if Midwest City; 10 grandchildren, Kyle Johnston, Katie Johnston, Kameron Johnston, Shawna Lowe, Brandie Smith, Amanda Yancey, Preston Yancey, April Yancey, Michael Lane and Zachery Yancey and two great-grandchildren, Sydney Cheri Yancey and Caleigh Smith
Pallbearers for the services will be Billie Davis, Daryl Trammell, Ron Thompson, Clint Yancey, James Godwin and Cliff Hendricks.

Hatak Yearby
Funeral services for U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Hatak Yuka Keyu Martin Yearby are set for 11 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2006, at the Marietta High School Auditorium in Marietta, Okla.
Rev. Tim Emmons is set to officiate.
Burial is set to follow at the Yearby Family Home.
Yearby died Sunday, May 14, 2006, at the age of 21, in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq.
He was born March 11, 1985, in Lawton, to Justin and Mary Martin Yearby.
Yearby was a resident of Overbrook.
A resident of Love County all his life, Yearby graduated from Marietta High School in 2003. While attending high school, he participated in football and weight lifting.
He was also very involved in Native American cultural activities and was a member of the Upward Bound program at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Yearby married Lindsey Poythress on Feb. 10, 2006, in Marietta.
He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force from the Marine Base at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
He was deployed to the War on Terrorism, Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Yearby’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, pouching, and spotlighting.
He was a member of Marietta’s Eastside Baptist Church.
Funeral services on Monday are under the direction of the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home of Marietta.
A visitation period is set for Sunday afternoon from 3-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Yearby is survived by his parents; his wife, of the home; his grandmother, Rebecca Kingsberry, Tishomingo; two sisters, Samarrah Renae Bell of Marietta and Shema Yearby of Overbrook; as well as other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be a U.S. Marine Corps color guard.

Constance Young
Services for Konawa native Constance "Connie" Young were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman with Chaplain Bill Tomlin officiating.
Interment followed at the Noble IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
Young, 83, of Norman died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006 in Norman. She was born July 4, 1922, in Konawa, to Ivor (Ward) and Greer Hughes.
She married Dock C. Young Dec. 24, 1940, in Konawa. During World War II, she helped build airplanes for Douglas Aircraft.
Her family moved from Seminole to Norman in 1947 and has lived at their current house since 1950.
Young was a Southwestern Bell telephone operator until she retired in 1977.
Her parents and brother Ed Lee Hughes preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband Dock of the home; daughters Linda M. Hubbard of Norman and Farrie L. Graham of Edmond; sister Evelyn Taylor of Seminole; brother John Henry Hughes of Lexington; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be J.D. Hubbard and Blake, Ryan and Carol Graham.
Jo Ann (Hilton) Zelaya
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident Jo Ann (Hilton) Zelaya are set for 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, at the Evangelistic Center in Shawnee, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
David Pixley is set to officiate the services.
Zelaya died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at her home in Seminole, at the age of 62.
She was born in Bowlegs on March 17, 1944, to William Hilton and Iva (Meeks) Hilton.
On Jan. 10, 1986, she married Freddy Zelaya in Seminole, and she worked many years as a sewing machine operator at Wrangler in Seminole.
Zelaya was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Dec. 26, 1996; two sons, Curtis Lee and David Joe; two brothers, Robert Hilton and Ray Hilton; and one sister, Helen Moses.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Patty Jackson of Seminole; two brothers, Michael Hilton of Seminole and Tommy Hilton of Richmond, Texas; five sisters: Betty Meloy of Wilson, Billie Vaughn of Kingfisher, Norma Welch of Bowlegs, Melinda Pierce of St. Louis, and Darlene Selfridge of Shawnee; four grandchildren: Kristopher Jackson and his fiancée Kim Dean, Kathryn Jackson, and Steven Jackson.
