Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident Hershel Huskins are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Highway Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Hershel Huskins passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007 in Shawnee, at the age of 69. He was born on Jan. 23, 1938 in Ft. Towsen, Okla., to Samuel Glen and Dorothy Estell (Melton) Huskins.
He married Jessie "Faye" (Jackson) Huskins on Dec. 20, 1957 in Shafter, Calif.
He was a repairman for General Motors for over thirty years working in California and Oklahoma City. He retired in 1993. He was a member of the Highway Baptist Church in Little.
His parents and one brother precede him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie "Faye" Huskins of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Dale Huskins of Shawnee and Hershel Dean and Melanie Huskins of Shawnee; two daughters and sons-in-law: Anna and Chuck Allen of Canton, Ohio and Amber and Dave Garrison of Eufaula; and one sister and brother-in-law: Edith and Troy Cunningham of Coolidge, Ariz.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren: RJ, Shannon, Christopher, Chad, Brandon, April, Joshua, Kylie, Nicole, Nicholas, Nathan and Nolan and eight great-grandchildren: Timothy, Julianna, Bricen, Sean, Abigail, Ruben, Alexis and Katherine.
Pallbearers will be: Brandon Huskins, R.J. Allen, Christopher Huskins, Chad Huskins, Nathan Hardin, Nolan Hardin, David Unruh and Dale Haskins. Honorary bearer will be: Nicholas Hardin.
Charlotte Inman
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident Charlotte Elizabeth Inman are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Sparks officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Charlotte, 70, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007 in Shawnee. She was born Oct. 2, 1936 in Carr City, southwest of Seminole, to William J. Melton and Lennie C. (Owens) Melton.
On June 30, 1952 Charlotte married Keith Inman in Ada. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and wife.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and she enjoyed her family and cooking.
Surviving is her husband of the home in Seminole; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Sandy Inman of Huntsville, Ala., Roger and Melody Inman of Shawnee and David and Susan Lawyer of Lindale, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Somer Jones of Seminole; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Nora Isaacs
Funeral services for longtime Konawa resident, Nora Alice Isaacs, will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Grace Community Church in Vamoosa with Rev. Drew A. Isaacs and Rev. Alan Isaacs, officiating.
Interment will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery with services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
Nora Alice (Muncrief) Isaacs passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at Ballard Nursing Center in Ada at the age of 85 years. She was born Oct. 31, 1921 in Byng, Okla., to Robert and Ellen Muncrief.
She attended Byng Schools and was a member of the women’s high school basketball team.That team was well known in the late 1930’s for winning 98 games in a row.
Nora married Beecher Samuel Isaacs on Aug. 8, 1942 in Konawa and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2001.
She was a loving homemaker and a member of Grace Community Church.
She is survived by four sons, Gary Isaacs and his wife Susi of Konawa, Aaron Isaacs and his wife Debbie of Colorado City, Colo., David Isaacs and his wife Janet of Pima, Ariz., and Drew Isaacs and his wife Phyllis of Konawa; two sisters, Laverne Penberthy of Grand Junction, Colo., and Margie Marshall of Kansas City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her parents; five brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Serving as casket bearers will be Alan, Nathan, Jonathan, Micah, Seth and Justin Isaacs. Honorary bearers will be Cristy Wood, Sherri Isaacs, Marci Isaacs and Tracy Isaacs.
Albert Ivey
Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident Albert Leonard "A.L." "Babe" Ivey are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday at Heartland Family Church on Strothers Ave. in Seminole.
Interment will follow at Thrace Cemetery in Bowlegs. Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the service.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Albert Leonard "A.L." "Babe" Ivey, 72, passed from this life, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007 in Texarkana, Texas. He was born Feb. 9, 1935 in Vamoosa, Okla., to parents Walter Kevin Ivey and Mary Elizabeth (Hunley) Ivey.
Mr. Ivey was raised in the Bowlegs, Vamoosa area and went on to serve in the United States Army.
He married Clonia "Faye" Batesel on Feb. 18, 1956 in Purcell, Okla. He worked at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City for 19 years then he worked for Red River Army Base in New Boston, Texas for 10 years until his retirement in 1990.
He loved to build "Stock Cars" and enjoyed racing in Ada, Okla.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Ivey of the home; one son, Jeffery Ivey of DeKalb, Texas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Teri E. Stanberry of Bonham, Texas and Cheri E. and her husband Randall Stanfill of Rogers, Ark.; one brother and sister-in-law, James H. and Sue Ivey of Konawa; one sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" and "Manny" Salcedo of Fairfield, Calif.; four grandchildren: Sgt. Christopher Stanberry of Afghanistan, Jerimiah Stanfill of Rogers, Ark., Justa Henson of Rogers, Ark., and Jessica Stanfill of Rogers, Ark.; two great-grandchildren: Olivia Grace Lucas of Rogers, Ark., and Preston Taylor Stanfill of Rogers, Ark.
Also surviving is a host of other family and friends.
Mr. Ivey is preceded in death by his parents.
Annie Jackson
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident Annie Belvia Jackson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cromwell Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Andy Young officiating.
Burial will follow at Sand Creek cemetery under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home, Okemah.
Jackson, 91 died Wednesday, March 13, 2007 in a Tulsa hospital. She was born June 24, 1915 in Okfuskee County to Lou Finney and Walter Lee Brown.
She lived most of her life in the Okemah area ands wa married to Robert Jackson for 59 years.
Jackson was a member of the Arbeka Indian Methodist Church.
Her husband (1990), parents, three brothers, Otis, Bill and Jack Brown and one sister, Helen, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her sons, Bobby Lee Jackson and Mike Harjo; two daughters, Martha Imogene Jackson of the home and Ann Marie Harjo of Okemah; two sisters, Janette Worley of Tulare, Calif., and Christine Luttrell of Okemah and seven grandchildren.
Pall bearers for the services will be Robby Chad, Chris and Johnny Harjo, Boone Griffin and Roger Chambers.
Billy Wayne Jackson
A memorial graveside service for longtime Wewoka resident and former head coach of the Tigers, Billy Wayne Jackson is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Bill passed away Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007 in Oklahoma City. He was born March 29, 1935 in Oklahoma City to W.F. and Maggie (Young) Jackson.
He graduated from Agra High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wewoka.
Mr. Jackson received his B.A. degree History from Central State University and his Master’s of Education degree from East Central University in Ada.
Bill taught and coached football, baseball, track and weightlifting in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma City.
In 1966 his Wewoka Tiger football team won the State Championship.
He loved coaching, reading books, traveling and stating his opinions.
In December 1955 he married Wynema Paukei in Oklahoma City and to this union three children were born.
His parents, wife and a brother, Jack Jackson preceded him in death.
Surviving is his son, Wayne Jackson of Wewoka; daughters, Kelly Porter of Amarillo, Texas and Wyma Gural of The Colony, Texas; brother, Edward Jackson of Linden, Wash. and grandchildren, Lori Stieman of Jacksonville, Fla., Kimberly Porter of Hereford, Texas, Sarah Porter of London, England, and great-grandson, Caden Steiman of Jacksonville, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 5700 N. Portland, OKC, OK 73112.
Johnnie Jackson Jr.
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident Johnnie Maurice Jackson, Jr. are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Galilee Temple of Praise, Seminole, with Elder James Young officiating.
Burial is to follow at Lima Cemetery under the direction of Myers Mortuary, Wewoka.
Jackson, 20 of Oklahoma City, died Saturday, July 21, 2007 in Oklahoma City. He was born Jan. 9, 1987 in Ada to Johnnie and La’Trece (Berry) Jackson.
He lived in Seminole County and attended grade school her before moving to Oklahoma City. Jackson attended Highway Church of God in Christ.
Surviving are his parents of the home; daughter, Da’Jhnia Jackson; sisters. Natasha Jackson, Shallissa Jackson, Alexandria Jackson and Tahjanae Jackson, all of Oklahoma City and brother, Jamaal Jackson of Oklahoma City.

Services for Ada resident Lagan Zachary Jackson were held today at 2 p.m. at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada.
Interment followed at Swan Hill Cemetery in Ada with Rev. James E. Jackson officiating.
Services were under the direction of Smith-Phillips Funeral Home, Ada.
Jackson died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada. He was born Dec. 17, 2007 in Ada to Rev. James Richard Jackson and Amy Annette Anderson Jackson.
He is survived by his parents of Ada; paternal grandparents, James and Brenda Jackson of Davenport; maternal grandparents, Standle and Christine Anderson of Ada; paternal great-grandparents, Jack and Rachel Cohea of Irving, Texas, and Richard and Sue Jackson of Wewoka; and maternal great-grandparents, M.L. and Margaret Whitwell of Ada.
Randy Jackson
Funeral services for Holdenville resident Randy Jackson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Holdenville.
Burial is to follow at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville.
Randy went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, April 12, 2007 in Okfuskee County at the age of 23. He was born March 21, 1984 in Holdenville.
He graduated from Holdenville High School and continued to make his home there. Randy loved playing basketball, fishing, and would never miss an OSU game.
Randy enjoyed working in the oil field and thought a great deal of all his co-workers. He was employed by Bronco Drilling at the time of his death.
Randy was a good man, full of life and joy everyday. The family knows Randy is looking down and saying "Don’t you dare cry for me because I’ve never known such happiness as I now know. Find joy in something everyday and never let your love fade for anyone."
His grandparents, Frank and Pat Cherry Jr. and a great-grandmother, Esther Leathermother, preceded Randy in death.
Survivors include Randy’s wife of four years, Brandi; son, Julius Desmon Jackson (age 17 months), both of the home; mother, Teresa Harris; sister, Christy Harjo; one special nephew, Blake Harjo; stepfather, Charlie Harris, all of Holdenville; mother-in-law, Iola Eddington; sisters-in-law, T’era and Whitney Combest and brother-in-law, Kameron "Pod’ner" Daniels, all of Holdenville.
Randy also leaves behind numerous other relatives and many, many friends.
Pallbearers for the services will be: Brandon Barnett, Wesley Sanford, Bobby Sanford, Vinny Rodriquez, Josh Brewer and Jeff Lucas.
