Memorial services for former Seminole resident Rodney Bryon Mathers are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Freedom Church of God in Emory, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lynch Funeral Service, Greenville, Texas.
Mathers, 57, of Greenville, Texas, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2007.
He was a retired tracing clerk with the Santa Fe Railroad and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and boating.
Surviving is daughter, Melodie Wolloughby of Dallas; son, Cody Byron Mathers of Greenville; his mother, Kathryn Chesser; and three grandchildren.
Juanita Mathews
Funeral services for longtime Wewoka resident Juanita Mathews are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel, Wewoka, with Rev. John Lively officiating.
Interment is to follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Our precious mother has passed away today, Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007. Juanita B. Mathews, born Sept. 29, 1936 in Seminole, was preceded in death by both parents.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 21-1/2 years, William "Bill" Edward Mathews, Jr.
As one of five children, Junaita was preceded in death by brother, Leonard, and a sister, Faye Jewell; and is survived by sister, Ella Mae Murray of Wewoka, Vera Jane McDonald of Shawnee, and Alvie Leon Martin of Wewoka.
Juanita is also survived by her four children: Mike and wife Kathy of Wewoka, Kathy England of Oklahoma City, Darnell Mathews of Holdenville, and Kenny Mathews of the home; four grandchildren: Misty Ann, Tiffany Dawn, Tonya Rena, Jarrod Micheal; and eight great-grandchildren.
Also there are numerous nieces, nephews, and many special friends to be mentioned.
Three special friends that the family wishes to mention that meant so much was the Walker Family, Beverly Jeremy and Rachel.
Juanita will never forgive us if we did not mention her dearly loved little poodle, "Foo Foo".
Alice Matthews
A memorial service for Seminole resident Alice L. Matthews will be held at a later date with arrangements under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Matthews, 62, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007 in Oklahoma City. She was born Aug. 17, 1945 in Seminole to Fisher and Emma (Bear) Noon.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Snake Creek Baptist Church in Seminole.
On June 21, 1980 she married Jerry L. Matthews in Tulsa.
Her parents and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband of the home; three sons, Yul Kirk Whitson of Calera, Okla., Gary Whitson of Ada and Spirit Sires of Pottsboro, Texas; three brothers, Porter Bear of Seminole, Ron Bear of Stillwater and Wallie Bear of Shawnee; two sisters, Nora Lefthand of Seminole and Dora Haney of Shawnee; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Alton Maxwell
Private family services for longtime Seminole resident Alton "Jack" Jennings Maxwell are scheduled for Thursday.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Maxwell died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007 in Seminole at the age of 78. He was born on Dec. 13, 1928 to Sidney Oliver and Hester Mae (Rail) Maxwell in Allen, Okla.
He was a member of the Church of Christ at Little and he worked in construction for over thirty-five years. In 1990 he retired after twenty-five years of Real Estate sales.
His parents and one brother, G.W. Maxwell who died in the invasion of France preceded him in death.
Surviving is his son, Jerry Maxwell of Bullhead City, Ariz.; four daughters, Carolyn Sparks of Las Vegas, Nev., Rebecca Maxwell of California, Cheryl Malcolm of California, and Rachelle Lewis of California.
He is also survived by five brothers, Kenneth Wayne Maxwell of Ada, Willis Don Maxwell of Kingston, Okla., Alfred Landon Maxwell of Madill, Okla., Larry Maxwell of Ada and Mike Maxwell of Ft. Worth, Texas; three sisters, Helen Bernice Priest of Ada, Beverly Carr of Wewoka, and Debra Hatton of Allen; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Judy Maynard
Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Judy Earline Maynard are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the City of Moore Cemetery, Moore.
Pastor Harvey Spears will officiate with services being under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore.
Maynard, 59, passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007 in Norman. She was born Aug. 16, 1947 in Midland, Texas to Odeis and Averil (Rozel) Boyd. The family moved to Wewoka, where she attended school.
Judy married the love of her life, Don Allen Maynard, on march 20, 1963 and they made their home in Moore. They had two children, Lori and Don, Jr.
She enjoyed genealogy, the computer, decorating, taking car of her yard and flowers, music, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and Ladies Auxiliary VFW #1311 in Seminole.
Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a sweet and caring person who always took the time to listen and help those close to her. Judy was greatly loved and will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Don; daughter, Lori Fahrenthold and husband Terry of Moore; son, Don Maynard Jr. and wife Rebekah of Moore; four grandchildren, Brittany Creason and husband Jeremiah of Moore, Austin Ferenthold of Moore, Kenady Maynard and Trevor Maynard, both of Moore; and great-granddaughter, Johannah Creason of Moore.
Judy is also survived by three sisters, Christina Hutchinson and husband Jim of Lawton, Carolyn Johnson and husband Mike of Longview, Texas and Mary Wells and husband Henry of Wewoka; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents and one brother, Frank Boyd, preceded her in death.

Madge McAnally
Funeral services for Longtime Konawa area resident Madge Juanita McAnally have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Konawa.
Rev. Ed Bray will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Dora Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.
McAnally passed away on Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 in Holdenville at the age of 98.
She was born on Dec. 5, 1908 in Konawa to Ned B. and Grace (Force) Johnson.
She married Oscar M. McAnally on Sept. 1, 1928 in Summers Chapel Area near Konawa.
He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1974.
She along with her family lived around the Hazel area near Konawa most her life; she attended Summers Chapel School and Konawa High School and attended the Methodist Church.
In her earlier years she enjoyed square dancing and rodeos with her husband and children, gardening and her flowers.
In her latter years she enjoyed arts and craft with the Senior Citizens.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Eva Moncrief and two brothers: Ray Johnson and Jack Johnson; and two grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons: Don McAnally of Millersville, Mo., Rich McAnally of McAlester, Mitchell McAnally of Seminole, and three daughters: Margaret Matthews of Konawa, Alice Irvin of Holdenville, and Linda Hardison of Palo Verde, Ariz.
She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and numerous great- great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Francis McCarty
Funeral services for longtime Maud resident, Francis "Fran" (Grooms) McCarty, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Maud with Rev. Bobby Shatto to officiate.
Her brother-in-law, Bob Woods, will assist in the services with interment to follow at Cummings cemetery in Maud.
Services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home, Maud.
McCarty, 68, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007 in Seminole. She was born March 23, 1939 in Longview, Texas to Stephen Lonzo Grooms and Cora Elizabeth (Pittman) Grooms.
On Feb. 3, 1956 she married Robert "Bob" McCarty in Oklahoma City. The couple lived in Shawnee from 1979 until 1994 when they returned to Maud.
McCarty retired from Homeland where she had worked in the meat markets both in Shawnee then in Seminole where she retired in 2001. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Maud.
Surviving is her husband of the home; one son, Robert "Bunky" McCarty of Choctaw; two daughters, Elizabeth "Winky" Ausdenmoore of Tecumseh and Teresa Workman of Konawa; seven sisters: Betty "Souki" Kelley of Oklahoma City, Joyce Stackhouse Brann of Maud, Bobbie Nell Woods of Maud, Jean Rowley of Ardmore, Virginia McClaskey of Maud, Glenda Bowers of Maud, and Virginia Bergen of Shawnee; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Casket bearers will be: Steve Woods, Steven Bowers, Gary McClaskey, Ernie Rowley, Eddie Stackhouse and Tommy Kelley.
Honorary bearers will be: Floyd Bowers, Gary McClaskey, Paul Rowley and Homer Bergen.
The family has suggested that donations be made in her memory to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 160, Maud, OK 74854.
Neva McClatchey
Graveside services for former Konawa resident Neva "Lorene" McClatchey are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Vamoosa Cemetery in Konawa with Bro. Wade Scott officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
McClatchey died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada, at the age of 72. She was born April 5, 1935 in Jackson, Okla.
On April 5, 1954 she married Homer McClatchey in Maricopa, Calif., and he preceded her in death on July 13, 1990.
She was a longtime resident of Konawa before moving to Ballard Nursing Center in Ada.
She is survived by a host of friends including Wade and Diane Scott and her friends at Ballard Nursing Center.
Nellie Pauline McDaniel
Funeral services for former longtime Seminole resident Nellie McDaniel are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
A reception will be held following the service at Omalee’s, 206 N. Main in Seminole. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at South Height Cemetery, Sapulpa, Okla.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Nellie McDaniel passed away on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007 in Everett, Wash. at the age of 95.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1911 in Wyatt, Mo. to Thomas Bryan and Etta Nellie (McElroy) Carey.
She was a nanny for the David Boren Family for many years as well as other families in the Seminole and Shawnee area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma.
She married her husband of 57 years Lowell E. McDaniel in Sapulpa; he preceded her in death on April 15, 1986.
Her son, L.E. McDaniel, one brother, two sisters, one granddaughter and two nephews, also precede her in death.
Her son and daughter-in-law survive her, Mike and Barbara McDaniel of Bothell, Wash.; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
