Graveside services for Holdenville resident Wilene Marie Lee Moss are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Holdenville Cemetery with Rev. Jon Ewers officiating.
Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville.
Moss died in Holdenville on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 at the age of 91 years of age. She was born Nov. 19, 1915 in Holdenville to Samual Lee and Ollie Terry Lee.
She was a graduate of Moss High School and worked at Boyce Manor Nursing Home for many years.
On Aug. 21, 1933 she married Lloyd M. Moss and he preceded her in death in 1984. Her daughter, Lloy Dean White of Seminole; one sister, Mildred Cox; and one brother, Ray Lee of Seminole, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are sons, Edwin Moss of Holdenville; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Vera Mullen
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole County resident Vera M. (Palmer) Mullen are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Wood officiating.
Interment will follow at Wolf Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Vera, age 90, passed from this life Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at Seminole Estates Nursing Center in Seminole. Vera was born Oct. 16, 1917 in Seminole County to James Washington and Rhoda Emily (Sorrel) Palmer.
She married Dallas Lando Mullen on Nov. 30, 1935 in Roscoe, Okla., south of Seminole and was a housewife. He preceded her in death after 54 years of marriage, on March 20, 1990.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Gerald Eugene Mullen; a daughter, Wilma Frances Mullen; three sisters and six brothers. She was also preceded in death by a grandson Gerald "Jerry" D. Mullen.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Mildred Mullen of Midwest City; one sister, Denver Hardin of Grants Pass, Ore.; two grandchildren, Teresa Anson and Melissa Marquis both of Wolf, Okla.; and three great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be: James W. Mullen, Chris Anson, Carroll Marquis, and Travis O'Loughlin.
Rickie Don Mullins Sr.
Memorial services for Konawa resident of Konawa, Rickie Don Mullins Sr., are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vamoosa Cemetery with Rev. Jasper Ligon officiating.
Services are under the direction of Smith-Phillips Funeral Home of Ada.
Mr. Mullins died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at his residence in Konawa at the age of 54. He was born Feb. 7, 1953 in Wewoka to Louie Mullins and Lula Mae Heard Mullins.
On Oct. 23, 1970 in Bowlegs he married Janet Curlee.
Mr. Mullins graduated from Bowlegs High School and moved to the Konawa area in 1989 from Sasakwa. He worked in the oilfield for many years.
His father, Louie Mullins, preceded him n death.
Mr. Mullins is survived by his wife, Janet Mullins of the home; his mother, Lula Mae Mullins of Konawa; one son, Rickie Don Mullins Jr. and wife, Gina, of Konawa; one daughter, Mechelle Campbell and her husband, Gary, of Wynnewood; two brothers, Steve Mullins of Sasakwa and Roland Mullins and his wife, Diane, of Sasakwa; one sister, Debbie Kuestersteffen and her husband, Leo, of Sasakwa and one grandchild, Chelsea Brown of Wynnewood.
Beverly Murray
Graveside services for Konawa resident Beverly Ann Murray were held today at 11 a.m. at Non Cemetery, near Calvin, with Ron Stewart officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
Murray, 75, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007 in Konawa. She was born July 5, 1932 in Oklahoma City to Ezra Janeway and Nellie (Holman) Janeway.
She moved to Konawa in 1970 fro, Oklahoma City and on Jan. 4, 1951 she married Bill Murray at the Presbyterian Church in the Capital Hill area of Oklahoma City.
Murray was a member of the Vamoosa Baptist Church and graduated from Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma City.
Surviving is her husband of the Konawa home; three daughters, Linda Green of Shawnee, Kay Gordon of Chino Hills, Calif., and Cindy Donnelly of Cypress, Texas; one sister, Christine Garrette of Raytown, Mo.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers for the services were: Billy Green, Maurice Green, Dennis Gordon, Buddy Fleener and Ernie Rogers.
William Murray
Funeral services for Prague resident William "Bill" Carol Murray are scheduled for 2 p.m Monday at Calvary Way Church, Prague.
Bro. Starland Davis, Bro. Charles McGregor, Sister Shirley Beverly and Rev. Sean Pease will be officiating.
Interment is to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole, under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague.
William "Bill" Carol Murray was born on April 16, 1942 in Pascagoula, Miss., and departed this life on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at the age of 65.
Bill, the son of William Carol and Pearl Ellen (Burns) Murray, graduated Enterprise High School in Brookhaven, Mississippi, attended Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss., Copiah Lincoln Junior College in Wesson, Miss., and received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss.
He married Norma Lee Atyia on Aug. 1, 1975 in Gainesville, Texas. Bill worked for Big Yank Corporation for 28 years, achieving the position of plant manager.
For the past three years, he was employed by the Seminole Nation. At the time of his passing, he was executive director of SNDA (Seminole Nation development Authority).
He was a member of Calvary Way Church, Prague. Bill had a servant’s heart, was always giving and helping people, and was a wonderful family man. Bill loved to travel and play golf.
His parents and one sister, Willine Gatlin, preceded Bill in death.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Murray of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Murray Bullock of Brookhaven, Miss., Susan and Ron Pinkerton of Ft. Worth, texas, Teresa and George Reich of Edmond, Melissa and Johnny Weddle of Rockwall, Texas, and Betty and Roger Cunningham of Seminole; and grandchildren, Sloan, Jordan, and McKenna Bullock, Shayna and Chrissy Pinkerton, Monica and David Clifford, LeeAnna Reich, Sunny Weddle, Ryne and Harrison Hoey.
The family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday from 6-8 p.m.
Eric Myers
Services for former head baseball coach at SSC, Eric Allen Myers, will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Choctaw, 2700 N. Main.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hibbs Funeral Home, Choctaw.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Myers, age 37, died on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 after a long fight with brain cancer
He came to the SSC as a student-athlete in 1989 under baseball coach Lloyd Simmons. Myers was drafted and signed to play professional baseball for the Oakland A’s and pitched for the Oakland club for four years.
Myers was named as an NJCAA All-American pitcher while playing for the Trojans in 1990; and is a past-president of the Seminole State College Baseball Alumni Association, which has membership of over 700 former players.
He served as an area volunteer for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was president and founder of the "No Walls (prison) Ministries" established in 1998.
In 1996, Myers returned to Seminole to serve as a Trojan assistant coach under Coach Simmons. During his two years as a member of the Trojan staff, he attended East Central University in Ada.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration/Recreation with a minor in counseling. He also received a master’s degree in education from East Central in 2002.
Myers worked as a recreational supervisor for the Davis Correctional Facility in Holdenville and was employed as the general manager of the Life Community Sports Complex in Oklahoma City.
Myers was hired in 2001 as the head coach for the Seminole State College Trojan Baseball program.
In 2004, the team was Region II Champions and traveled to Grand Junction to participate in the JUCO World Series, where they finished in 3rd place. That year, Myers was named Region II Coach of the Year, Central District Coach of the Year, ABCA Coach of the Year and Louisville Slugger Coach of the Year.
Last spring, Myers was inducted into the Seminole State College Alumni Hall of Fame.
His father, Will Myers, preceded him in death.
Surviving is son, Jacob Myers; daughter, Stacey Myers; mother Margie Myers; two brothers, Brian Myers and Don Myers; and two sisters, Lisa Rangel and Jeanette Simmons.
In lieu of flowers, a Scholarship has been set-up in the memory of Coach Eric Myers through Seminole State College Educational Foundation, P.O. Box 351, Seminole, OK 74818.
Juanita Myers
Memorial services for Seminole resident, Juanita L. (Adams) Myers are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, Seminole.

Juanita, 74, died Saturday, April 28, 2007 at her home in Seminole, with her family around her. She was born Feb. 16, 1933 in McAlester to Oral Horace Adams and Clara Maymie (Hoffar) Adams.
She married Raymond Dan "Ray" Myers on Dec. 13, 1961, in Booker, Okla.
Juanita retired 20 years ago as a cosmetology instructor. She also worked as a beautician in Elk City. She moved to Seminole from Edmond, Oklahoma, six years ago.
Her parents and three brothers preceded her in death.
Juanita leaves her husband, Ray Myers of the home, to cherish her memory; one son, Michael Allen York, of Shawnee; four daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca Joan "Becky" Douglas and her husband Kenneth of Shawnee, Cheryl Rae Sivels and her husband Michael of Parkton, N.C., Mary Kathleen Gordon and her husband Jimmy of Bailey, Colo., and Kelli Dene Cathey and her husband Scott of Shawnee; two sisters and brother-in-law, Virginia Nell McKnight of Claremore and Frankie M. McCoy and her husband Chuck of Enid; 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and is expecting two more great-great grandchildren.
Stacy Myers
Funeral services for former Seminole resident, Stacy Ladawn (Grisso) Myers are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Stacy died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007 at her residence in Tulsa, at the age of 34. She was born on June 23, 1972 in Lawton, Okla. to Gary D. Grisso and Margie (Wolf) Grisso.
She attended Seminole High School. Stacy worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Tulsa at a minor emergency clinic. She was of the Baptist faith.
Her mother, Margie (Wolf) Grisso in August 2001; one brother, Scott Grisso and paternal grandfather, Pete Grisso preceded her in death.
She is survived by her father, Gary D. Grisso of Seminole; one son, Cameron Myers of Seminole; twin daughters, Emma Daniell and Laura Nicole England of Tulsa; brother, Jarried Grisso of Seminole; step-brother Jason Cheatwood and his wife Kerri of Seminole and Jeff Cheatwood; paternal grandmother, Babe Grisso of Bartlesville; maternal grandfather, Redmond Wolf of Seminole; friend and father of her son, Michael Myers of Tulsa; friend and father of her twin daughters, Danny England of Tulsa and his parents, John and Bonnie England of Tulsa; three special aunts, Linda Jarrell of Bartlesville, Margie Laffoon of Shawnee and Carolyn Robbins of Arlington, Texas; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Serving as casket bearers will be Michael Myers, Steve O’Dell, Craig Brown, Jacob Harrison, Curtis Wolf and Johnny Wolf.
Clifford Myrick
Graveside services for Sasakwa resident Clifford Bryan Myrick are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery with Bro. Wesley Martin officiating.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Myrick, 36, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007 in Oklahoma City. He was born Dec. 4, 1970 in Muskogee to Floyd George and Patsy (Blaylock) Myrick.
He graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City. On Oct. 5, 2000 he married Brenda Carden in Van Buren, Ark.
Myrick was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Sasakwa and was a member of the volunteer Fire Department in Sasakwa.
His father preceded him in death.
Surviving is his mother, Patsy Myrick of Stratford; wife, Brenda of the home; daughter, Savannah Myrick of the home; son, Arthur Joseph Leroy Smith of Oklahoma City; daughter, Amy May Smith of Oklahoma City; three brothers and a twin sister.
Pallbearers will be: Arthur Smith, Clayton Palmer, Kenny Reich, Abe Davis, Patrick Harjo and Andrew Tucker.
Honorary bearers will be: Dale Johnston, Clifford Harjo, Kenneth Williams and Joe Timmons.
