Funeral services for Wewoka resident Sera Frances Ramsey are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, Wewoka.
Interment is to follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Ramsey, 92, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007 at Rose Manor Nursing Home in Shawnee. She was born Feb. 16, 1915 in Boles, Ark., to Fred and Mary Mankin Freeman.
She attended school in Sasakwa and on Sept. 28, 1933 she married Royal Lee Ramsey in Sasakwa.
Ramsey was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Wewoka. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and sewing. She made all of the family quilts.
She loved April Fools Day and enjoyed pulling pranks on her husband of 72 years. She and her husband received an award from the Sasakwa Reunion Committee for the longest married couple.
Her parents; husband; one son, Gerald Lee Ramsey; three brothers: Delbert, Robert and John "J.B." Freeman; and one sister, Orengie Mae Henderson, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children: Donald Ray Ramsey of Shawnee, Charles Dale Ramsey of Montrose, Colo., and Elvie Don Ramsey of Konawa; and eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters: Lorene Ramsey of Borger, Texas and Imogene "Sissy" Davis of Slaton, Texas; and two brothers: Jess Freeman of Memphis, Tenn., and Bill Freeman of San Antonio, Texas.
Don Raney
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Don Raney are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy Clark officiating.
Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Don Raney passed away on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 in Seminole, at the age of 86. He was born on June 13, 1921 in Union, Ark., to Edgar M. and Mattie (Cochran) Raney.
He married Jewell (Bradley) Raney on April 5, 1948 in Pryor, Okla. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on Aug. 31, 1942 and he served in the 390th Air Service Squad and was discharged on Dec. 11, 1945.
He and his family moved to Seminole in 1951 from Pryor. He was a member of the First Baptist in Seminole, where he was a deacon for many years.
He was a Sunday School Teacher and a director of Senior Adult Sunday School Department for twenty-seven years. He worked for Atlantic Richfield Oil Company for thirty-three years retiring in 1984.
He is survived by his wife Jewell Raney of the home; son and daughter-in-law, David and Sydney Raney of Los Angeles, Calif.; granddaughter, Amy Moran of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one grandson, Nathaniel Moran and wife Dana of Independence, Ky.; and one sister and brother-in-law, Ima and Darwin Kirkman of Mound Ridge, Kan.
His parents, E.M. and Mattie Raney; one daughter, Sandy Raney Easter; three brothers, Maurice, Harold and Randall Raney; and one sister, Myrtle Homsey, precede him in death.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in memory of Don for future growth of the church.
Danny Raper
Memorial services for lifelong Maud resident, Daniel Glen "Danny"/"Butch" Raper are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis First Baptist Church with Pastor Glenn Peck officiating with the assistance of Rev. Andy Quinton.
Interment is to precede the services at Cummings Cemetery, Maud, under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home, Maud.
Raper, 71, died Sunday, May 6, 2007 at his home near Maud. He was born May 17, 1935 in Texas to Elger Glen Raper and Emma (Tarter) Raper.
On May 21, 1958 he married Ruby Joyce Castoe in Shawnee and was a member of St. Louis Baptist Church and had retired from an oil well service company as a derrick man.
His parents and sister, Vicky Hurt preceded him n death.
Surviving is his wife of the home; two sons, Ronald and David Raper, both of Maud; one daughter, Dana Gribble of Tecumseh; three sisters, Glenda Sue Blain of Midwest City, Linda "Kay" Springer-Felkins of Seminole and Carolyn Jo Choat of Harrah and five grandchildren.
Mark Redding
Memorial services for Wewoka resident Mark Alan Redding will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Redding, 50, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007 at his residence in Wewoka, following a long illness. He was born Nov. 7, 1956 in Holdenville to David H. and Anna Lee (Upton) Redding.
He graduated from Wewoka High School and later worked for Scott Drilling of Seminole. Redding was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed softball, fishing and camping.
His grandparents and father preceded him n death.
Surviving is his mother, Anna Lee Redding of Wewoka; daughter, Tammy Diane Porter of Ada; brothers, David Lee and Arthur Dale Redding, both of Wewoka and sister, Marilyn Kay Calvert of Maud.
Ruby Reece
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Ruby Nell (Hunt) Reece are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with James Hays and Lance Reece officiating.
Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Reece died on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007 at Grace Living Center in Bethany, Okla., at the age of 92. She was born in Yell County, Ark., on May 2, 1915 to Virgil and Mary (Annie) Hunt.
Her mother died when she was a young girl and Reece came to Oklahoma to live with her aunt and uncle, J.L. and Gertrude Hays.
She graduated high school from Wolf in 1934 and married Thomas Reece, together they made their home Seminole.
Reece was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole and taught Sunday school for many years.
She worked at Roosevelt Schools for 11 years as the head cook and after that she worked and retired from Tinker Air Force Base for 15-1/2 years as an assistant foreman and wageworker.
Surviving is her daughter Norma VanHooser–Cox of Oklahoma City; two brothers, James Hays of Norman and Bob Hays of Clarksville, Miss.; two grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Her parents; son, Thomas Clyde Reece; two brothers, Leon Hunt and Fair Hays; and one sister, Wanda Hays-Meadows, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be: James Lee Hays, Vann Reece, Danny Wood, Keith Cox, Lance Reece and Allen Ledbetter.
Raymond W. Reed, Jr.
Our beloved Raymond W. Reed, Jr. went on to glory to be with the Lord on Jan. 10 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel.
He was born on Aug. 17, 1051 in Wewoka.
Mr. Reed earned his MBA from Southern Nazarene University being recognized with the highest honors for academic excellence and his BBA in Marketing from University of Central Oklahoma.
He was elected as a member of Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society in Business Administration.
Mr. Reed has held various executive positions including most recently as the co-owner Home Instead Senior Care.
Prior work history includes: vice president of human resources and support services at Wilson N. Jones, director of human resources at Tahlequah City Hospital, president and CEO of Bowling Oil Company Inc., division manager of IC Systems Inc. and marketing manager of Superior Supply Company Inc.
Mr. Reed was a member of numerous committees and organizations including the following: Rotary Clubs in various states, serves as president of Tahlequah and Muskogee Personnel Association, Board of Directors, Education Committee, National Society of Human Resource Management and was awarded a Lifetime Certification by the International Certification Institute for the Society for Human Resource Management.
Mr. Reed also was recognized and received numerous awards including the following: 1998 Committed Service to Tahlequah City Hospital and Employees (1991-1998), 1997 Human Resource Professional of the Year at Muskogee Area Human Resource, 1996 Outstanding Employee of the Year at Tahlequah City Hospital, 1996 Oklahoma Future Business Leaders of American Chapter Education State Chapter Award, 1995 Special Recognition Award for work with high school students from Future Business Leaders of America Association.
He was an avid and eloquent golfer receiving many awards, a previous licensed pilot of multiple engine craft, a sports enthusiast, especially a "Boomer Sooner," lover of music genre including jazz and rock and roll classics to gospel and the symphony orchestra, and appreciated theatre art and as at home as a beach comer.
He was devoted to his sons and family, a loving husband, enjoyed an active life and loving sharing time and companionship with everyone who met him.
Raymond was a gentleman and scholar, strong in moral convictions, honest, hardworking, generous individual always ready to lend a helping hand.
He had a most jovial prankster attitude that permeated and brought much happiness to all those around him.
Witty, reflective and spiritual and always God-centered, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him; he truly made the world a better place to live.
He will never be forgotten and one day we will all meet him again.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond W. Reed, Sr. and Geraldine Crow Reed.
He is survived by his wife Dr. M. Retta Martin of Corpus Christi, Texas.
He is also survived by sons Raymond W. Reed, III, and Clint Reed, both of Dallas, Texas, and a sister Geraldine Jackson and brother-in-law Mike Jackson of Edmond.
His Uncle Archibald Crow and wife Annette of Fort Worth, Texas and a few cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ophelia Reich
Graveside services for Sasakwa native Ophelia Reich are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Lone Dove Cemetery in Sasakwa.
Lindel Bolin is set to officiate, with services under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Reich died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at the age of 72.
She was born Nov. 10, 1934, in Sasakwa, to Monte Welch and Martha (Pence) Welch.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Sasakwa. Her hobbies included gardening and sewing.
She married Sherman Reich on Dec. 4, 1950, in Seminole, and he preceded her in death in 2002.
Ophelia Reich was also preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Gwendolyn, in 1951.
Her survivors include two sons, Jimmy Reich and Jackie Reich, both of Sasakwa; a brother, Doyle Welch; three sisters, Wathena Norman of Mena, Ark., Elsie Wright of Fresno, Calif., and Oleta Clark of Bakersfield, Calif.; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chub Welch, Ronnie Welch, Gary Welch, Kelton Welch, Jason Welch, and Shannon Welch.
Donnie Harris is listed as an honorary bearer.
Donna Reinecker
A memorial service for Seminole resident Donna Marie Reinecker will be held at a later date in Alamogordo, N.M.
Reinecker, 60, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007 at her home following a battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 12, 1947 in Snowflake, Ariz., to Clinton Reidhead and Doradeanne Reidhead-Olson.
She graduated from El Paso High School and worked various jobs throughout her life.
Her greatest accomplishment was in earning an Associate’s degree in May 2005 from New Mexico State University.
She was in the top 5% of her class and graduated with honors. Reinecker was a member of Thi Beta Kappa.
In Flagstaff, Ariz., she married Byron Dale Reinecker.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Holly Jenkins of Alamogordo, N.M., and Leslie Haskin of Seminole; five grandchildren; siblings: Dolly, Steve, Judy, Lisa and Tim; and stepfather, Oscar Ben Olson of Tularosa, N.M.
