Troy Warledo

Services for Troy Dean Warledo are scheduled for Tuesday at the Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church with Rev. Houston Tiger officiating.

The body was taken to his home at 526 N. Second Street in Seminole and will remain there until Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church.

Burial is to follow at the Thlocco Cemetery under the direction of the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Troy Warledo passed away quietly on Thursday, Aug. 30 at the Seminole Medical Center at the age of 39 years.

Troy was born on Oct. 26, 1967 in Wewoka to Amy (Thlocco) and Leo Warledo.

Troy was a life long resident of Seminole County. He attended school at New Lima and Webster High School in Tulsa. He worked for Bodard & Hale Drilling co. as well as a retail clerk for Rivermist.

Troy loved and lived his life each day to the fullest, enjoying the time had which was special with his friends and family.

He loved his music and watching movies with his brother. Troy’s laughter and love will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Angel, and two brothers, Nicholas and Lance Warledo.

Survivors include his parents, daughter Chastity Warledo, Seminole; son Cory Warledo, Seminole; two brothers Lucas and Jon Warledo, both of Seminole; three sisters Melissa Warledo, Tulsa, Angie Simons of Seminole, and April Warledo of Wewoka; his grandmother Kizzie Thlocco of Wewoka; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Eric Thlocco, Gary Simons, Castin Woods, Hector Trejo, Rick Woods, Kevin Fox, Mike Goins, Frank Davis, Dusty Christensen, Charles Warledo, Calvin Warledo, Derek Ponkilla and Ryan Moppin.

Virginia Warrior

Funeral services for Wewoka resident Virginia Kay Chesser Warrior are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at New Testament Church, Wewoka, with Rev. David Little officiating.

Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.

Warrior died Tuesday, April 17, 2007 in Wewoka. She was born March 7, 1948 in Hanford, Calif., to Clarence Marion and Lydia Elizabeth (Butler) Arnold.

She married Jimmy Leon Chesser on May 5, 1966 in Wewoka and he preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2002. She then married Ferrell Warrior in Ft. Smith, Ark., and they made their home in Wewoka.

Her parents, one brother, Leroy Arnold (in 2005) and one sister, Mildred Marie Woody, also preceded her in death.

Surviving is her husband, Ferrell Warrior of Wewoka; two brothers, Clarence Luther "George" Arnold of Henryetta and Jerry Leon Arnold of Eufaula and one sister, Mary Ann Tenant of Ft. Smith, Ark.

Pallbearers for the services will be: Arron Arnold, Jerry Arnold, Brian Arnold, Wayne Christman, Tommy Yargee and Greg Young.

Forrest Watters

Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident Forrest Leroy Watters are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wesley Martin officiating.

Interment is to follow at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.

Watters, 84, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007 at his residence in Holdenville. He was born May 27, 1923 in Seminole County to William Jackson and Iva Augusta (Hailey) Watters.

On Jan. 29, 1944 he married Ruth Barker and she preceded him in death on Jan. 5, 1990. He was a retired farmer.

His parents; two brothers, John Watters and George Watters; and one sister, Wanda Jones, also preceded him in death.

Surviving are sons, Forrest Glenn Watters of Wewoka and John Barker of Seminole; brothers, V.L. Watters of Sasakwa and Bill "W.E." Watters of Oklahoma City; and sisters, Juanita Cravens of Holdenville and Oleta Williams of Cromwell.

Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Watters, Steve Williams, Allen Jones, Larry Jones, Keith Watters and Jeff Watters.

Honorary bearers will be: Roger Lancaster, Rob Doolen, Teddy Eberly, Charles Wayne Nail, Charles Fixico, James Harris, Chuck Lancaster, Teddy Kefer and Travis Barker.

Betty Watts

A memorial service for Betty Watts is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Anglican Church in Loganville, Ga., with Rev. Dr. Foley Beach officiating.

Services are under the direction of Horis A. Ward, Inc., Conyers, Ga.

Betty Watts, 81, formerly of Vicksburg, Miss., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007 in Conyers, Ga.

She was a member of St. Simons Episcopal Church in Conyers, Ga., and a past member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Vicksburg, Miss.

She retired from the Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg, Miss.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck and Mary Thomas Watts of Wilmington, Ohio, Lin and Mellie Watts of Conyers, Ga.; grandchildren, Ann Charles Watts of Dayton, Ohio, Ben and Sam Watts of Conyers; brother, Buddy McCain of Pinehurst, N.C.; and aunt, Annie Whinery of Seminole.

She was predeceased by her husband, Garland Leon Watts, Sr., and parents, Ernest Melvin and Lola McCain.

The family will receive friends at their home tonight from 6-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Cross Anglican Church, P.O. Box 776, Loganville, GA, 30052.

Ernest Wear

Funeral services for Seminole resident Ernest E. Wear are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church with Rev. Roy Robertson officiating.

Interment will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.

Ernest E. Wear passed away on Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at the age of 79 at Pioneer Nursing Home. He was born on Jan. 21, 1928 to William Ernest and Edna Alma (Jackson) Wear in Okemah, Okla.

He married Letha (Anderson) Wear on Nov. 23, 1949 in Hobart, Okla. Rev. Clarence Herrin baptized him on July 11, 1976 at Gritz Acres Christian Church in Hennessey, Okla.

He was an automotive technician. His hobbies included: hunting, fishing, camping, boating and motorcycling to name a few. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Bowlegs and was a 32nd degree Mason from Coronado Lodge # 56 in Hennessey.

He served in the United States Army from 1946-1948 where he was a private.

His parents, one daughter, Darla Wear on July 22, 2006, and three brothers: Clyde Wear of Ada, Floyd Wear of Konawa and Eddie Wear of Washington, Okla. preceded him in death.

His wife, Letha Wear of the home; brother, Jerry Wear of Ada and two grandchildren, Shannon Lecinski and Sheila Whitton, survives him.

Three great-grandchildren, Clayton Lecinski, Elisha Lecinski, and Kaylee Whitton also survive him.

Pallbearers will be Rob Robertson, Earl Smith, Bob Morrison, Lindel Smith and Nathan Billings.

Claud Weatherly

Funeral services for C.L. "Jack" Weatherly will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home, Shawnee, with visitation from 5-8 p.m. tonight.

Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Home.

Jack Weatherly, 84 went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 26,2007. He was born on Dec. 28, 1922 in Fleetwood, Okla. to Claud Jefferson and Laura Lorene (Day) Weatherly.

He married Mary L. Henderson at Henrietta, Texas Aug. 3, 1946. Together in this wonderful union they shared more than 60 years, and raised three children, Michael Rand, Billy Claud, and Craig Steven.

Jack received a BS degree at Oklahoma City University after he was discharged from the United States Navy at the end of World War II. While in the Navy he served on the USS SC#669 in the 7th fleet in the Pacific Ocean.

His career included working as a sales manager in the petroleum marketing business and fertilizer business.

Jack loved working at the Rock Creek Baptist Church where he served as a church teller, a trustee, an adult Men’s Sunday school teacher, and provided research for the Rock Creek History Book. At home he enjoyed working on his family Genealogy, and writing articles.

He was a Master Mason of Shawnee Lodge AF & AM, and was active in Masonic work for 50 years. He was Past Master of the Guymon, Okla., lodge. Jack received an award from "Prevent Blindness Oklahoma", and was elected as Mr. Mason in 2001.

His parents, sister Mildred Henderson, and beloved son Craig Steven preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Mary Weatherly; his son, Michael and his wife Tina and their children Adam and Jacob, Guthrie, Okla.; his son, Bill and his wife Kathy and their children Brannon and Keysha and Mike Hill, Fort Worth, Texas; his brother and wife Gene and Mary Marie Weatherly, Wichita Kan.; brother-in-law Ira Henderson, Newcastle, Okla.; brother-in-law and wife Jim and Ella Henderson, Shawnee; sisters-in-law, Gladys Gamble, Moore, Okla., Ida Mae Peterson and Ruby Marshall, Ryan, Okla.

The family requests instead of sending flowers please make donations to the Angelic Family Hospice, 421 North Beard Street, or the Rock Creek Baptist Church building fund, 44900 Hardesty Road, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.

Bernice Webb

Funeral services for former Seminole resident Bernice C. Webb are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Shawnee with Dr. Rockford Johnson and Rev. Glen Pence officiating.

Burial is to follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

Bernice C. Webb, 87, of Tecumseh, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 in Shawnee. She was born March 13, 1920 in Belleville, Ark., to Thomas and Thedia (Sugg) Joiner.

She graduated from Checotah High School in 1936 and on March 29, 1937 she married Sam Webb in Checotah.

For several years she and her husband owned a cattle ranch in Earlsboro. She worked as a floral designer for nearly 45 years at Seminole Florist.

She had lived in Seminole, Duncan, Tecumseh, Shawnee and Earlsboro; and returned to Tecumseh in 1993, where she had resided since.

Bernice enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, baking, and never missed a moment to joke and laugh with family and friends. She was active with Broadway United Methodist Church in Tecumseh.

Her husband on March 22, 1999; one daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Haase; one son-in-law, Bill McKelvey; her parents; four sisters; and three brothers preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Frances Webb of Champagne, Ill.; one daughter, Patty McKelvey of Tecumseh; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Royce Welch

Memorial services for Sasakwa resident Royce Lee Welch are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.

Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Welch, 47, died Sunday, April 22, 2007 in Ada. He was born Dec. 19, 1959 in Holdenville to Clifton L. and Joyce (Donegan) Welch.

He graduated from Seminole Schools and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. Welch previously worked for Smith Drilling as a machinist, prior to his disability.

On Dec. 31, 2002 he married Kari LaVon Sanders in Seminole.

His parents and one brother preceded him in death.

Surviving is his wife of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Renee Welch of Oklahoma City and Ashley Nicole Welch of Broken Arrow; one son, Ryan Lee Welch of Sasakwa; two brothers, Dale and Mike Welch, both of Ada; one sister, Sandra Graham of Tulsa; two stepchildren, Steven Hisaw and Brandy Lynn Hale, both of Tecumseh and eight step-grandchildren.
