Martha A. Guymon died on Friday, September 12, 2008, in Tulsa.
She was born December 29, 1918, in Cambridge, Kan., to Arthur Thomas and Mana Akers Knowles.
She graduated from Winfield High School and met her future husband, Bill Guymon in nearby Arkansas City, Kan., a year later.
Bill and Martha were married May 9,1938, in Wellington, Kan.
Survivors include sons Lance Guymon of Collinsville, and J. Carl Guymon and wife, Marsha, of Tulsa; Daughters, Sharon George of Bayfield, Colo., and Shirley Branson and husband, Bill of Meade, Kan.
Also surviving Martha are grandchildren Debra Little and husband, Mitch, Cheree Cordes, and husband, Terry, all of Meade, Kan., Greg Guymon, and wife, Carmen, of Collinsville, Kamala George of Prescott, Ariz., Corral Guymon of Roseville, Calif., Claudette Guymon and husband, Rob, of El Dorado Hills, Calif., JaeJean Young of Tulsa, Hunter Guymon and wife, Joy, of Catoosa, Jesse George of Hemet, Calif., James George and wife, Tricia, of Bayfield, Colo., Darla Branson and husband, Wess, of Dallas, Texas, and Kristen Branson of Meade, Kan..
Great grandchildren Isabel and Adriana Guymon, Kelsey Guymon, Hayden and Blake Guymon, Killian George, Jacqueline, Jamie Lee, and Jessica George, Madison Martin and Brooke Guymon, Dane, Tanner, Colton, and Jett Little, Jayde, Whitney, and Gunner Cordes, Jalen and Harrison Branson, also survive Martha.
Martha Guymon was preceeded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents, one sister and four brothers.

LaDella Hackler
LaDella Jean Hackler, 74, longtime Seminole resident died Monday, Oct. 6, in Seminole. Mrs. Hackler was born Oct. 27, 1933 in Jourdanton, Texas to Travis and Rose Mae (Lucas) Collums. She came to Seminole at the age of 2 and has lived in Seminole since.
On Dec. 17, 1949 she married Robert David Hackler, at the Missionary Baptist Church, in Seminole. He preceded her in death in 1990.
She was a devoted homemaker and housewife for most of her adult life. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren and was always doing things for them. She worked some outside the home at Davis Hardware, several years at the Blue Bell Plant (now wrangler) and owned and operated Hackler Tropical Fish shop out of her home.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Danny Hackler, of Tecumseh and Ronald and Annetta Hackler, of Tecumseh; one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Sammy Loveless, of Wewoka; one brother Leroy Collums and his wife Geraldine, of Eufuala; two sisters Sue Johnson, of Seminole and Janet Reed, of Texas; nine Grandchildren, Ashley and Nathan Hayes, Zachary Lupton, Megan and Demontra Phillips, Matthew Hackler, Justin Hackler, Robert Hackler and David Hackler; one Great Grandchild, Amauriana Phillips, and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers Clinton, Jimmy, and Jeep Collums.
Casket bearers will be Zachary Lupton, Matthew Hackler, Justin Hackler, Jon Reed, Nevin Bryant, Nathan Palmer, and Robert Hackler.
Graveside Services will be Thursday, Oct. 9, at 10:30a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, in Seminole, with Slim Crabtree officiating.
Viewing will be Tuesday, Oct. 7 8a.m. to 8p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 8a.m. to 8p.m. Thursday, Oct 9, 8a.m. to funeral time.

Bertha Hail
Former longtime Seminole resident Bertha Boatman Hail died Friday, Oct. 03, at Westbury Nursing Home, in McDonough, Ga., at the age of 98.
She was one of 19 children. Her parents were Joshua and Etter (White) Boatman. She was born in Oney, on Aug. 7, 1910.
She is survived by four sons; Willie Hail, of McDonough, Ga., Willis Hail, of Clarksville, Tenn., William Hail and Willard Hail, both of Hennessey, and one daughter, Wilburta Flanders, of Freemont, Calif.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Louis Byers, daughter, Vivian Byers, and eighteen brothers and sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2p.m., Sunday, Oct 5, at the Little Chapel, at Little Cemetery. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.
Johnnie Hamilton
Memorial services for Johnnie "Bruce" Hamilton, age 52, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wilson Peace officiating.
Bruce passed from this life on Friday, Oct. 31, in Muskogee.
Johnnie "Bruce" Hamilton was born in Tulsa, on Sept. 20, 1956 to Billy Joe and Dorothy (Gibson) Hamilton. He attended school and graduated from Channel Island High School, in Oxnard, Calif.
Bruce was employed as a shipping dispatcher with Tri-B Nursery, and worked for J.R.’s Movie Land, of Seminole and Wewoka, from 1998 – 2004.
When he was not working, Bruce enjoyed the great outdoors. He loved target shooting, fishing, and camping. Bruce was an avid Nascar fan and liked to watch sports on television. He especially liked football, with the Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners being his favorite teams.
Bruce was a gifted cook and enjoyed cooking for his family. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends black powder shooting and traveling. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bruce is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ephraim and Addie (Smith) Hamilton and his maternal grandparents, John and Laura (King) Gibson.
Those left to cherish Bruce’s memory include his parents, Bill and Dorothy Hamilton, of Tahlequah; his daughter and son, Amanda and her husband PV2 Joshua Lytle, of Seminole, and Josh Hamilton, of Tahlequah; nephew and niece PFC Ephraim Hamilton, stationed in Iraq, and Hannah Hamilton, of Stillwater; as well as many friends and family too numerous to mention.
Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Seminole Animal Shelter.

James Hamilton, Jr.
A long time resident of Sun Lakes, Ariz., died Sunday, Dec. 7. Lt. Col. James A. Hamilton, Jr. entered the Army Air Force during WWII where he flew P-47 Thunderbolts. He served in the Korean Conflict flying P-51 Mustangs and in Viet Nam flying O-1 Bird Dogs.
His duty stations included; Victoria, Texas, Williams AFB, where he was a flight instructor in the T-28 and F-86. He went to Dhahran Saudi Arabia where he instructed in the F-86. He returned to Luke AFB, where he was the first Squadron Commander of the new F-104. He served in Fort Hood, Texas where he was III Corp Liaison. He returned to Luke in 1969 where he retired in 1974.
He grew up in Seminole, attending grade school and high school, graduating in 1942.
He is survived by sons, James, of Moody, Texas and Michael, of Peoria, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Ray Hammons
Ray L. Hammons, age 64, passed away, Sept. 15, at Community Hospital Lakeview, in Eufaula.
Graveside services will be held at 2p.m., Friday, Sept. 19, at Charles Cemetery, in Eufaula, with Rev. Dustin Tidwell officiating.
Pallbearers are Timothy Hammons, Lenny Jim, Joe r, Jess, and Brian Dreadfulwater, and Charles Deere.
Honorary Pallbearers are Steve and Kenneth Hammons, Jerry Haney, and Glen Sharpe.
Ray was born to Ray and Lida Hammons, in Brigham City, Utah, and raised in Antlers, where he attended school. After high school graduation he entered the US Army. He served in Viet Nam as a helicopter crew chief.
After the Army, Ray returned to Oklahoma, where he attended the Oklahoma State University School of Electronics, and graduated in the class of ’79, with a degree in Electronics.
Ray worked for Exxon Petroleum, and later for Boeing Aviation, where he worked on projects like the guidance systems for aircraft.
After retiring in 1996, he came to the Eufaula area to enjoy retirement with his people and family. Ray loved working with his computer system, at home and has spent many hours surfing the web while also watching television. His other two hobbies, rock collecting and smoking pipes, can be appreciated by a short journey through the home place.
His parents precede Ray in death.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Cummings) Hammons, of Eufaula, sons, Kenneth, of Chicago, Ill., and Timothy Hammons, of Enid, Lenny Ray and wife Cherelee Jim, of Clewiston, Fla., stepchildren, Joe and wife Katie Dreadfulwater, of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Jess Dreadfulwater, of Palmdale, Calif., and Brian Dreadfulwater, of Lawrence, Kan., sister, Jackie Jones, of Antlers, brothers, Steve Hammons, of Coweta, Gary Hammons, of Antlers, and Cody Hammons, of Wetumtka, Ala. Nine grandchildren also survive Ray.
Robert Hargrove
Funeral services for Robert M. Hargrove were scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 2p.m. at the First Christian Church, in Okemah. Interment followed at the Morse Cemetery, in Okemah.
Hargrove was born April 30, 1959, in Okemah to Bobby and Theresa (Vigil) Hargrove. He died after his battle with cancer, Saturday, Oct. 4, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 49.
He was a resident of the Okemah area most of his life. He graduated from Okemah High School in 1977 and later received an associate’s degree in auto mechanical engineering from OSU, in Okmulgee.
Hargrove fished, hunted, rode his Harley, and hung out skiing at the lake with his friends and family.
He married Merline Lewis, in Oklahoma City, on Sept. 11, 2008.
Survivors include: one son, Timmy Hargrove, of Okemah; three daughters, Tina Hunter, of Sulphur; Dawna Rose Hargrove, of Norman, and Rebecca Hargrove, of Norman; his wife, Merline, of Seminole two brothers, Steve Hargrove, of Okemah and Richard Hargrove also of Okemah; three sisters, Angela Grissom, of Choctaw; Monica Hargrove, of Broken Arrow, and Eva Schmidlkofer, of Okemah.
Serving as pallbearers were Bill Henson, Dennis Lucas, Steve Hargrove, Richard Hargrove, Brian Grissom, Timmy Hargrove, and Jim Schmidlkofer.
Honorary bearers included Marty Branscum, Andy Tucker, John Bean, Roy Cisco, David Lucas, and Rick Maggard.
Services under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah and officiated by Rev. Jeannie McMahan.
Beatrice Harjo
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Bonnie Beatrice (Terrell) Harjo are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel, in Wewoka, with Pastor Tommy Clark officiating.
Interment is to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Bonnie Beatrice Hopkins was born on July 12, 1914 in Idabel, Okla. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Wewoka for 60 years.
At the age of 93 she went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in Seminole.
Her parents were William Alfred and Beulah Addie (Hankins) Hopkins and she was the oldest of eight children.
She married Grady Terrell in July 1933 and he preceded her in death in 1972. She later married Floyd Harjo of Wolf and he preceded her in death in 2001.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Lucille Ross; two brothers: Hubert Hopkins and Calvin Hopkins; and one granddaughter, Ronna Bailey.
Grady and Beatrice had three sons: Raymond and Ulricke Terrell of Kansas City, Mo., Kenneth and Dorothy Terrell of Seminole, and Ronald and Bobbie Terrell of Warsaw, Mo.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Mark Terrell of San Francisco, Calif., Tina Rae Terrell of Victoria, Canada, Ronda Rae Hatachett of Conroe, Texas, Tammy Ann Watts of Texarkana, Ark., Kenneth Wayne Terrell Jr. of Decatur, Texas, Karen Elaine Hudgens of Shreveport, La., Angie Malezieux of Paris, Frances Jim Terrell of Hannibul, Mo., and Susan Newson of Ft. Hood, Texas; 25 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Her surviving siblings are: sisters: Mildred Erwin of Duncan, Okla., Lorene Lacer of Amarillo, Texas, Pat (Shipley) Coulon of Wewoka; and one brother, Donald Hopkins of Tulsa.
Casket bearers will be her nine grandchildren. Honorary bearers will be her 25 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Carl Harjo
Funeral services for Seminole native Carl "Foozie" Harjo are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gerald Manley and Rev. Crosslin Smith officiating.
Burial is to follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Tahlequah.
Harjo died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008 in Fayetteville, at the age of 61. He was born July 26, 1946 at Harbor Hospital in Seminole to A.B. Harjo and Mary Etta (Brown) Harjo.
He was a 1964 graduate of Del City High School and had received an Outstanding Saxophonist Award in 1960 and 1961 at the Pawnee Music Festival.
Harjo was 1st Alto saxophone in the Oklahoma All-State Band in 1964, and he received a $400 Music Scholarship Award to Phillips University in Enid in 1964.
In 1966 he entered the U.S. Navy and received Federal Aviation Administration certification as an Air Traffic Controller Third Class. Harjo served as an Air Traffic Control billet.
His duties included Air Intelligence, CIC Secret Clearance, Naval Training Operations, Communications and Contracts-Supply. He spoke fluent Russian and served in the Secret Service.
Harjo was employed as a teletypesetter for the Muskogee Daily Phoenix after his discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1968, and he went on to receive a B.A. degree in Journalism from Northeastern Oklahoma State University in 1973.
He was an intern teacher at Bacone Junior College in the Communications Division in 1975 and received a M. Ed. Degree in Language Arts from Northeastern Oklahoma State University in 1976.
Harjo then began a career as a professor at Bacone Junior College and also taught some classes at NSU.
He was a member of Oklahoma Council Teachers of English and National Council Teachers of English, a member of Disabled American Veterans-Chapter 3 in Topeka, a national member of the S.T.E. Fraternity, and a lifetime member of International Order of Demolay and Disabled American Veterans-Chapter 7.
Harjo was also a member of the Roman Catholic Church and the Democratic Party. He was Chief Justice White Assembly Knights of Columbus 4th Degree.
His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are his brother, Matt Harjo of Fayetteville; and his sisters, Charlene Harjo Irani of Colorado and Trina Kathleen Watkins of Wyoming.
Pallbearers include Gene Frusher, Tommy Bryant, Stan Wells, John Waldon and Robert Soontay. Honorary pallbearers include the Seminole Nation Color Guard.
