A memorial service for Lois Jerving is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Sheboygan, Wis., with Rev. Bryan Osladil officiating.
Inurnment is to follow in the Garden Terrace Mausoleum of Lutheran Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Lippert-Olson Funeral Home, Sheboygan, Wis.
Eathel "Lois" (Sparkman) Fisher Jerving, 84, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 in Sheboygan. She was born Dec. 27, 1923 in Ada to George Latha and Alice Glarcie (Chandler) Sparkman.
Her family moved to Sheboygan in the late 1930’s when her father went to work for the oil refineries in Wisconsin.
She graduated from Central High school in 1942. During the war, she lived with the Joe and Rosie Skelton family and the Jurk family.
She married first in 1946 to Roger T. Fisher and they had two children" Barbara and Jeffrey. She married a second time on July 14, 1973 to Howard Jerving. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Jerving worked at Hinze Ice Cream during high school and she was an active member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, where she worked on making Braille Bibles for the blind in Africa.
She worked in the Service Department at Sears, retiring in 1986.
Besides her husband, her parents and brother, Lawton Sparkman, preceded her in death.
Surviving are two children: Barbara Fischer of Brown Deer and Jeff Fischer of Kiel; two grandchildren; stepson, Wesley Jerving of Sheboygan; three step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Jean Frye of Norman and Virginia Ramsey of Seminole.
Brent Johnson
Funeral services for Prague resident Brent Dale Johnson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Snake Creek Baptist Church #2, with the Rev. Thomas J. Fixico officiating.
Burial will follow at Snake Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Walker Funeral Service in Shawnee.
A wake is set for Wednesday evening, July 9.
Johnson died at the age of 26, on Sunday, July 6, 2008, in a car accident on Interstate 40.
He was born Oct. 21, 1981, to Josie Johnson Sr. and Kathy Ponkilla, in Ada.
He attended schools in Little Axe.
Johnson was an assistant manager at Van’s Pig Stand on Highland Street in Shawnee for the past year and a half.
He was a member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe.
Johnson was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Ponkilla; and by grandparents: Myrtle Fixico, Eugene Johnson, and Chester Ponkilla.
He is survived by his father, Joe Johnson of Shawnee; two son, Aaron Johnson and Sonny Phillips, both of Shawnee; a daughter, Desiree Johnson of Shawnee; two brothers, Darrell Johnson of Earlsboro and Joe Johnson Jr. of Norman; and four sisters, Rebecca Debois of Gallup, N.M., Autumn Ponce of Norman, Katie Johnson of Norman, and Eugenia Gibbons of Konawa.
Enoch Robinson
Funeral services for the infant son of former Seminole County resident Joshua Robinson are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at High Spring Church in Konawa.
Burial will follow at High Spring Cemetery.
The newborn, Enoch Mikkonapy Robinson, was born and died on Thursday, June 26, 2008, in Newton, Kan., to parents Joshua and Ariel Robinson of Wichita, Kan.
Enoch Robinson is survived by his parents, of the home; one sister, Alaina Robinson, of the home; grandparents Veronica Robison of Wichita, Kan., Bobby Robinson Sr. of Konawa, Ron and Viola Reimer of Newton, Kan., and Brent Horsely of Wichita, Kan.; great-grandparents Raymond and Pat Pompa of Wichita, Kan., and Sarah Porter of Konawa; uncles Raymond Johnson of Newton, Kan., Kameron Reimer of Newton, Kan., Bobby Robinson Jr. of Konawa, and Loring Robinson of Konawa; aunts Angela Robinson of Konawa, Selena Jackson of Konawa, and Charlene Robinson of Hartshorne; and a host of cousins and great-aunts and great-uncles.
Pall-bearers are listed as Ethan Brock, Kyle Brock, Shawn Jackson, and Billy Don.

Jerome Johnson
Funeral services for former Wewoka native, Jerome Stanley Johnson, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Johnson and Rev. Wayne Starks officiating.
Interment is to follow at Johnson Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Johnson was born May 20, 1953 in Arkansas City, Kan., to Charles and Madeline (Goat) Johnson.
He graduated from Anadarko High School and later attended Okmulgee Tech from 1974 – 1975, studying lithography.
Johnson attended Metro Technology Center in Oklahoma City in 2005, studying graphic design, Macintosh OS, color, typography principles, copyright law, and Adobe InDesign.
From 1969 – 1971 he attended Caddo-Kiowa Vo-Tech in Ft. Cobb, Okla., studying office printing.
Johnson won many awards in 2005 and received Metro Tech GPA Award, and Silver Award Scholarship.
His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving is his aunt, Marie Johnson Jones and brother, Rudolph Johnson of Ardmore.
Pallbearers will be: Shawn Jones, Jeremy Larney, Mitchell Jones, Christopher Azlin, Gabriel Johnson and Phillip Johnson.
Honorary bearers will be: Jess Johnson, Brian Jones, Marion Jones, Tommy Johnson, Harold Johnson and James Johnson.
Jesse Johnson
Wake Services for Wewoka resident Jesse James Johnson, Jr. are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
He was born May 5, 1952, in Shawnee, to Jess Johnson Sr. and Susan Neivassee.
He was raised by his paternal Seminole grandmother Bettie Johnson.
Jesse graduated from New Lima High School and Haskell Indian Jr. College, in Lawrence, Kan. Seminole Nation later employed him, in various departments. He was an avid Sports fan.
Jess was a tribal member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, and was also of Sac & Fox /Kickapoo descent. He was of the Nurcup-Harjo Band, and Tiger clan and a member of Hilltop Presbyterian Church.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Survivors include his brother, Ted Burden who is a Baptist Minister in Oklahoma City; his children, Phillip Johnson, of Holdenville, Jennifer Johnson, of Konawa, Kimberly Johnson, of Denver, Colo., and Melissa Johnson, of Holdenville; three grandchildren; and a beloved aunt Marie Johnson Jones, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel with Pastor Wayne Stark and Tommy Johnson officiating with burial to follow at Johnson Family Cemetery, in Wewoka.
Pallbearers will be Brian Johnson, Randy Herrod, John Coley, Mike Bruner, Kip Larney, and Jeremy Larney.

Mary Ann Johnson
Services for former Wewoka resident Mary Ann Johnson are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel, Wewoka, with Bro. Larry Chesser officiating.
Interment is to follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Johnson, 77, died Monday, March 24, 2008 in Tulsa. She was born on Dec. 6, 1930 in Wetumka to John W. and Emma Elizabeth (Hays) Baker.
On Sept. 9, 1957 she married Johnny Lee Johnson in Hobbs, N.M., and to this marriage four children were born.
She and her husband were the owners of Lee Ann’s Restaurant for a number of years in Guymon, Okla. They moved to Tulsa in July 2007 to be near their children.
Her parents, and eight brothers and sisters: Charles Baker, Billie Lou Knight, Opal Fuller, Vera Backus, Cecil Baker, Henry Baker, Ray Baker and Dorothy Baker, preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband of 50 years; children: Debbie Hooper, Pam Behne, Johnny F. Johnson and Cecil Johnson; two grandsons; seven granddaughters; seven great-granddaughters; and six great-grandsons, all living in Seminole County.
Heather Johnston
Funeral services for lifelong Asher resident Heather Mashell (Gladden) Johnston are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Konawa High School auditorium with Rev. Darrell Stinnett officiating.
Burial is to follow services at Vista Cemetery with services being under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
Johnston died Saturday, April 12, 2008 near Asher at the age of 23. She was born May 14, 1984 in Tecumseh to Laura Ann (Dean) and Robert Wayne Gladden.
She graduated from Konawa High School and also attended East Central University.
In December 2006 she married Robert Johnston in Ada. She was a teacher’s aide at Konawa Elementary School and also worked at BancFirst in Konawa.
Surviving is her husband of Asher; parents, Laura and Bobby Gladden of Asher; one son, Colton Johnston of the home; one daughter, Alexis Johnston of the home; one brother, Ryan Gladden of Bethel; one sister, Amber Gladden of Asher; grandparents: Robert and Eileen Gladden, and Jerry and Geneva Dean, all of Asher; and great-grandmother, Virginia Gladden of Asher.
Serving as casket bearers will be: Justin Thompson, Jack Thompson, Tommy Gregg, Jimmy Don Simpson, Michael Boles, and Brandon Sexton.
Bettie Jones
Bowlegs resident Bettie Jean Jones passed away Oct. 12, in Seminole, at the age of 70 years.
Wake Services are were scheduled for 7p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Sand Creek Eufaula.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Sand Creek Eufaula, with Rev. Houston Tiger, Rev. Sam Harrison, and Rev. Kenneth Berryhill officiating with interment to follow at Johnson Family Cemetery
The body will be taken to the Church 4:p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
She was born Sept. 30, 1938, in Pawnee, to Younger and Mary Lois (Robison) Carpitche. She graduated from Classen High School and received her BA degree from Southeastern State College.
She taught school in White River, Ariz., Ft Apache, Md., Ft. Richie, and in France. She loved playing softball and reading her Bible. She played basketball with the Tulsa Hawkette’s. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Bettie and Marion Jones married June 5, 1971, in Seminole, and to this union four children were born.
Bettie is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Jewel Berryhill, and Josephine Schroeder.
Survivors include her husband Marion Jones, of the home; children Michelle Stoerrle, of Bowlegs, Antoinette Conechief and husband Chris, of Seminole, Stacie Jones, of Seminole, and Mitchell Jones, of Tulsa; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers and sisters Brenda King, of Wewoka, Aurthur Wayne Carpitche, of Konawa, Mabeline Riley, of White River, Ariz., Rosie Hartsfield, of California, Josephine Johnson, of Okemah, Pearlie Mills, of White River, Ariz. and Banard Josay, of White River, Ariz; one aunt Jo Amy Harrison, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Jones, Kevin Larney, Bill Wood, Anthony Wood, Eddie Harjo, Wesley Factor, Randy Harrod, and Ronald West.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Mitchell Jones, Christopher Azlin, Antonio Ramirez, and Tyler Jones.
