Claytis Allen "C.A." Jones, Jr. 70-year-old Maud resident passed from this life after a yearlong battle with cancer, on Sunday, Nov. 2, at his home, in Maud surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Oct. 28, 1938, in Chalk, Texas to parents Claytis Allen Jones, Sr. and Donnie Louella (Davis) Jones.
Jones served in the United States Navy where he was a Machinist Mate Third Class, serving from 1956 to 1959.
C.A. married Bettye Jean Cook on Jan. 3, 1968, in Sherman, Texas. She preceded him in death on July 29, 2007.
Jones has lived in Maud for the past 23 years moving here from Southmayd, Texas where he was a member of the Southmayd Baptist Church.
He worked for Hayes Axle, Quality Trailer Supply and retired in 2000 as a Horse Trailer salesman for Redneck Trailer Supply, to care for his wife.
Survivors include his loving family: two sons and daughters-in-law, Claytis "Allen" Jones, III. and his wife Jennita, of Pottsboro, Texas and "Randy" Scott Jones and his wife Trish, of Sherman, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Casaundra Coradell "Casey" Garren and her husband Larry, of Maud; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Tina Jones, of Sherman, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Kirby, of Howe, Texas and Bernice Williams, of Sherman, Texas; four grandchildren, Jessica and her husband Micah Ledbetter, of Whitesboro, Texas, Josh Jones, of Gunter, Texas, Kaley and her husband Robert Rodriguez, of Maud, and Jordy Garren, of Maud; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Alice and Woodie Simmons, of Kemp, Texas and Mrs. Billie Brown, of Grand Prairie, Texas; also surviving is a special friend Phyllis Knight, of Bennington, and a host of other dear family and friends.
Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters, Johnnie Bernita Jones in 1935 and Georgia Bledsoe in 1984.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6, at the Trinity Baptist Church, in Maud. Chaplain Donnie Knight and Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery, in Maud, with Military Honors.

Donald Jones
Donald Brent Jones, formerly of Seminole, died Nov. 17. He was born to Don Q. and Peggy Ann Jones, in Oklahoma City, on Sept. 30, 1965.
He is survived by his companion, Trona; his son, Justin Brent Jones; daughter, Shannel Jones; granddaughter; brothers, Randy Jones and Jackie Keen; and sisters, Brenda Anthony and Angela Skaggs.
His parents, Peggy Ann and Don Q. Jones, preceded him in death.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at Little Cemetery.
Josephine Jones
Josephine Faye Jones, 77, of Seminole, died Nov. 4, in Oklahoma City.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1930, in Blanchard, to Jesse Newton and Mary Alice (Carr) Cooley. She married Thomas Warren Jones and they had six children before he died, in 1971.
She worked at Sonic for many years. Jones was a collector. She collected knick-knacks, pencil sharpeners, magnets, and Wacky Pack toys, among other things. She and her sisters vacationed together, every year. She always bought a magnet when traveling through a different state. She had a magnetized drawing of the United States and would come home with the state magnets and "showcase" all the states she had visited. She worked on crossword puzzles and word find puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas; one son, Roger Jones; one brother, Billy Cooley; and one sister, Elsie Hayes.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynna Jernigan, of Edmond, and Shelia Jones, of Seminole; three sons, Arnold Jones, of Seminole, Tony Jones, of Seminole, and Johnny Jones, of Guthrie; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and two sisters, Dovie Cheatwood, of Maud, and Valeria Ivie, of Arlington, Texas.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Vivian Jones
Vivian Morene (Gosnell) Jones, age 93, died at her residence, on Monday, Dec. 15, in Asher.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, in Konawa. Burial will follow at the Wanette Cemetery, in Wanette.
She was born Dec. 11, 1915, in Marlow, to Frank Gosnell and Maggie (McPherson) Gosnell. She married Fred E. Jones on July 3, 1934. She worked as a nurse’s assistant.
She is survived by her son, David Jones, of Asher; sister, Dollie Smith, of Oklahoma; two grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Jones, on February 12, 1981; her parents, Frank and Maggie Gosnell; two brothers, and six sisters.
Bob Judd
Funeral services for Earlsboro resident Bob Judd are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Funeral Service.

Bob Judd, 81, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in Shawnee. He was born Feb. 3, 1927 in Colbert, Okla., to W.W. Judd and Virgie Grimes.
In 1947 he married Neta Wayland and they were married for 56 years. He was enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946.
He was a business owner and rancher in the Prairie Valley area for over 38 years. He raised cattle and was involved in Canadian Valley Limousine Association.
His wife (May 19, 2007), and two brothers: Robert and Cecil Judd, preceded him in death.
Surviving are daughters: Joan Wiley and husband David of Shawnee, and Drenda Fisher of Norman; two brothers: Ben and Buster Judd; two sisters: Dorothy Judd and Mary Monson; four grandchildren: Amy Wood and husband, Roy, of Norman, Chris Fisher of Edmond, Jordan Wiley and Nathan Wiley of Shawnee; three great-grandchildren: Ashley Wood and Greyson Wood of Norman, and Gabriel Fisher of Norman; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Helen Darlene Morphis was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Old Butner. She was a graduate of Castle High School. She married Leon Delbert Julian (Semi) and he preceded her in death, in 1968.
Darlene was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Susan Kalicki
Funeral services for long tie Seminole resident Susan Kalicki are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2 at the First Baptist Church of Seminole.
Officiating will be Russell Vicars and Brandon Kalicki, son of the deceased.
Interment is to follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Noble, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Susan Kalicki, 61, passed away on June 28 at her home. She was born on August 21, 1946, in Norman to William R. and Nettie Lee Smith. Her parents preceded her in death.
Susan Kalicki graduated from Noble High School and Seminole State College with Honors. She married her husband, Doug Kalicki, on September 21, 1973 in Norman.
Susan was a loving housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She and he husband enjoyed attending OU football games for 35 seasons, traveling and spending time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She also enjoyed her water aerobics class at Seminole State College.
Susan was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole for 20 years and was faithful in reading her Bible daily and attending her Sunday School class and her Tuesday Morning Bible Study conducted by Mrs. Lucy Dacus.
Those who knew Susan will remember that she always felt "blessed" and was an inspiration and blessing to others. She was a faithful and loving servant to the Lord.
Survivors include her husband, Doug; sons Greg and Louise Kalicki of Stillwater; Jeff and Beth Kalicki of Lithia, Fl.; Reverand Brandon and Shanna Kalicki, Ponca City; five grandchildren and one great-grandson; brother Donald R. Smith of Norman; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Pallbearers will be Robert Foxx, Ron Frederick, Gary Tolson, Gary Dutton, Winston Neal and Gary Adams.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandson; Mrs. Dacus’ Bible Study Ladies and Adult D. Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Susan Kalicki’s name to the First Baptist Church Building fund.
