PONTOTOC — Services for Shirley Whelchel, 62, Pontotoc, are 2 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Glen Thomason will officiate. Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery.
Mrs. Whelchel died Monday, March 28, 2005, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born May 21, 1942, in Compton, Calif., to Elmer and Gladys Cullison Doyel. She attended school at Tishomingo.
She married Joe M. Whelchel Aug. 18, 1958, in Pontotoc.
Mrs. Whelchel was a clerk in a drug store and restaurant, most recently, she was employed with home healthcare. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Wapanucka, and active in church music ministry.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Whelchel, of the home; a daughter, Dawn Tadlock and her husband Earnest, Ada; grandchildren, Michelle Pearce, Ada and Christopher Pearce, Pontotoc; one brother, Billy Doyel, Bakersfield, Calif.; her mother-in-law, Viola Whelchel, Ada; five sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Gladys Doyel, a daughter, Kay Lynn Flowers in 2002, a sister, Norma Allen and a brother, Tommy Doyel.
Bearers will be Frank Wallace, Darrel Horath, Roy Taylor, Jack McFeeters, Quinton Overstreet and George Moore. Honorary bearers are Roger Sullenger and Duane Allen.

ALLEN — Services for Frank Doyle, 67, Allen, are 2 p.m. Friday at Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, the Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from Thursday morning until service time.
Mr. Doyle died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at his home. He was born Feb. 19, 1938, at Holdenville, Okla., to Jack and Wilma Eubanks Doyle.
He lived in the Allen area all his life. He attended school at Panther Creek and graduated from Gerty High School.
He married Pat Dunn on Jan. 3, 1992, at Fort Smith, Ark.
Mr. Doyle was a truck driver and also was employed with the oil and gas production industry. He served in the U. S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Doyle, of the home; brother, Truman Doyle, Winnemucca, Nev.; a sister, Doris Jean Hopkins, Cartersville, Ga.; step-daughter, Donna Nelson, Barnsdall; a step-granddaughter, Jocelyn Nelson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Wilma Doyle, and a son, Brian Doyle in 1994 in Arkansas.
Bearers will be Bruce Merriman, Roger Merriman, Chris Merriman, Morris Chiles, Tommy McFerran and Sonny Wallace. Honorary bearer will be Leonard Iker.

Mr. Woods died March 27, 2005, at Asher. He was born Dec. 12, 1977, in Oklahoma City to Johnny Lee Woods Sr. and Angela Witt Woods.
He was a diesel mechanic and lived in the Byars, Konawa and Asher areas most of his life.
He and Lisa Kile were married July 12, 2003, at Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bud Witt and Bill Woods.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Woods, Asher; a son, Takoda Lynn Ray, Asher; a daughter, Taylor Nicole Ray, Asher; his parents, Angela and Danny Strawn, Oil Center, Johnny Lee Woods Sr. and Vicki Woods, Prague; four brothers, Mickey Woods and Jachin Woods, both of Prague, Nathan Strawn, Christian Strawn, both of Oil Center; a sister, Ashlee Strawn, Oil Center; grandparents, A.J. and Juanita Moore, Konawa, and Jewell Woods, Midwest City.

Mr. Park died Monday, March 28, 2005, at his home. He was born Aug. 11, 1925, in Kingston to James W. and Reola Minton Park. He attended school at McCall’s Chapel School, graduated from Allen High School and attended East Central University.
Mr. Park married Loretta “Rita” Ballard in June 1947 in Ada. He was an accountant and a special agent for the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Park was a member of the Evangelistic Temple and a state director for Prison Fellowship. He also served in the U.S. Navy for four years as a torpedoman’s mate, second class.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Park, of the home; daughter, Jan Park, Stonewall; son, Jim Park and wife Anita, Mena, Ark.; brother, Gene Park and wife Beth, Pearsall, Texas; two sisters, Edna Mae Davis, Sealy, Texas, and Joanne Fasler and husband Elmer, Yancey, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Jim Park, Wayne Park, Ronny Blaylock, Kevin Yandell, Cecil O’Neal and Donny Blackburn.
Honorary bearers are James E. Park, Jeffery Park and Jason Park.
