Private gravesdie services for longtime Seminole resident Robert Lee Lauderdale were held Thursday, July 24, 2008, at the Lindsay City Cemetery in Lindsay, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Lauderdale died Monday, July 21, 2008, at his home in Seminole, at the age of 54.
He was born March 14, 1954, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Zollie Coffer Lauderdale and Iris Colleen (Dimpel) Lauderdale.
Lauderdale came to Seminole from California in 1963. He was a longtime roughneck in Seminole oil fields and was retired at the time of his death.
Lauderdale was preceded in death by his father, Zollie Lauderdale.
He is survived by his mother, Iris Lauderdale of Seminole; one daughter, Janis Danielle Lauderdale of Seminole; two brothers, James Lauderdale of Seminole, and Steven Lauderdale of Elk City.
Paul Lawson
Paul Wesley Lawson, of Wewoka, passed away at his residence, Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the age of 74.
He was born in May, of 1934, in Oklahoma City, to Charles Wesley Lawson and Elma Naomi (Wiggins) Lawson.
Paul and Betty Cunningham Dec. 17, 1990, in Oklahoma City. He worked for Fox Smyth Trucking Co. as a Welder.
Paul was of the Baptist faith and a member of Masonic Lodge, in Oklahoma City.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of Wewoka; daughters, Molly Hutchison and Tina Brinkley; step-son, Ron Stanley; five grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ronald Lawson, Vencen Lawson, Charles Lee Lawson, Betty Turner, Norma Williams, Mary Jane Isbell, Sharlene Harris, and Helen Hill.
His parents precede him in death.
Private services are scheduled for a later date.

Richard Lay
Richard Henry Lay, Sr., age 67, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, at his residence.
Services are scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in. President James A. Choate will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Yukon Cemetery.
Lay was born Feb. 15, 1941, in Oklahoma City, to Wilburn Henry Lay and Violet Blanch (Lowell) Lay.
He graduated from Putnam City High School, in 1959. He married Eden Lay on March 29, 1976.
Lay retired from the United States Navy in 1982, after 23 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Earlsboro Liars Club.
He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, horses, fishing, and the ocean.
Survivors include his wife, Eden, of the home; children, Thomas D. Lay, Beth O. Winrow, Rannie O. Coching, Webb H. Lay II, Richard D. Lay, Nancy Vandergriff, Richard P. Lay, and Richard H. Lay, Jr.; mother, Violet Lay; 19 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Lay and Danny Lay; sister, Judy Gray; and several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Services.
Beatrice Ledbetter
Beatrice Christine (Poling) Ledbetter, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 17, in Seminole.
Bea was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Colye, to George Emmitt Poling and Bertha Lou (Longing) Poling. She married Leonard Persing Ledbetter Oct. 29, 1939. They were joyfully married for 66 years.
She is survived by two sons, Leonard Dick Ledbetter and wife Kathy, of Chickasha, Lloyd Allen Ledbetter and wife Kay, of Seminole; four grandchildren, Zane and wife Sarah, of Chicago, Ill., Cindy and husband Dwight Mincher, of Midwest City, April and husband Mike Jones, of Seminole and Aaron and wife Crystal Ledbetter, of Seminole; 11 great grandchildren, Desiree Ledbetter, of Chickasha, Austin Mincher, of Midwest City, Dustin Jones, of Ada, Valerie Jones, of Stillwater, Tyler Jones, of Dallas, Texas, Lane Michael Jones, of Seminole, Larsen Paige Jones, of Seminole, Shalena Ballard, of Bowlegs, Marissa Joy Ledbetter, of Bowlegs, and John Colton Ledbetter, of Bowlegs.
She was preceded in death by her parents George Emmit Poling; husband Leonard Pershing Ledbetter, Dec. 8, 2004; two sisters, May Dean Heister, and Maxine Johnson; and one brother, George Emmit Poling, Jr.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 22, at the First Baptist Church, in Seminole, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, in Seminole.
Pallbearers will be Robert Foxx, Marvin Keesee, Aaron Boggs, Mike Douglas, Larry Bruce and Paul Jones.
Bealah Lee
Reverend Bealah Allen Lee, 84-year-old resident of Midwest City, entered into Eternal Life on Thursday, Nov. 20, in Oklahoma City. Born Sept. 19, 1924, in Wilson, he was the son of George Washington Lee and Mary Magdalene Williams Lee.
He was a lifetime resident of Oklahoma, having lived in Midwest City, Watonga, Woodward, Antlers, and Seminole among others.
He was a semi-retired Baptist Minister who loved helping people, singing at Church, fixing things, and just talking with anyone about his Lord, Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Victory Baptist Temple of Midwest City.
While his church family was always important, it was especially vital to him for the past 10 years since his wife passed away.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lola Laverne Lee; and three sisters, Thelma Grant and Elizabeth Jackson and his twin sister, Beulah Stanley.
Survivors include his son, Rickey Lee and his wife, Cheryl, of Boone, N.C.; daughter, Neveena Bengtson and husband Richard, of Baton Rouge, La.; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Naoma Robinson, of Seminole; Nita Fitzwater, of Tilly, Ark.; a number of nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Jason Preast.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Bill Eisenhour F.H. Northeast Chapel, in Oklahoma City, with Pastors Leonard Sissons and Earl Maddux officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memory Gardens, in Midwest City.

Janette Lee
Graveside services for former Wewoka resident Janette Lee are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Sunny Lane Chapel in Oklahoma City.
Services are under the direction of Sunny Lane Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
Lee, 59, died Sunday, March 2, 2008 in Oklahoma City. She was born Dec. 12, 1948 to Hamp Thornton and Pauline Wallace.
She was a homemaker and member of Southwest Baptist Church.
Her parents, and brother, Richard Thornton, preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband, Robert R. Lee, of the home; sons, Denver and James Piatt; daughters, Brandy Wooten, Clarissa Piatt, and Cherlinda Gordon; two brothers, Kenneth and Leonard Wallace; two sisters, Linda Allen and Sandra Isaacs; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Lawrence Lee
Graveside services for Seminole native Lawrence Earl Lee are scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Little Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home of Bristow.
Lee died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 in Muskogee at the age of 66.
He was born to Loyd and Minnie Lee on Oct. 14, 1941 in Seminole.
Lee spent his childhood years in Seminole and attended Seminole Public Schools until he joined the United States Army, where he served during the Vietnam War.
Lee then moved to Bristow in the late 1960’s.
He enjoyed fishing and watching television and was loved by his family very much.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Herschel Lee and Floyd Lee; and two sisters, Estlene Dennis and Thelma Ross.
He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Ann Stewart of Bristow; one sister, Charlotte Kissee of Bristow; and two grandsons.
Tony Derril Lee
Funeral services for longtime Ada resident and Seminole native Tony Derril Lee are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008, at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Tom Newell officiating.
Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole.
Tony passed away on Friday, May 16, 2008, at Seminole Estates Nursing Center at the age of 52.
Tony was born on July 15, 1955 in Seminole to Donna (Conner) and Floyd Lee.
He attended Latta Schools and graduated from Latta High School in 1973. He was involved in basketball and baseball all throughout school.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Ada, where he was a rural mail carrier for over 15 years. He also was co-owner and operator of Latta Grocery Store.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Conner Lee of Seminole; three daughters and sons-in-law: Shannon and Brad Smith of Lebanon, Mo., Lacee and Nick Andrews of Washington, Okla., and Lindsey and Casey Myers of Washington, Okla.; a sister and brother-in-law: Timmie and Danny Myers of Shady Point, Okla.; great-nephews Tristan and Kylen Myers and Kendan Metcalf, and great niece Kensley Metcalf, all of Durant; aunts Connie Weems and Pam Nowlin and uncle Ronnie Conner, all of Seminole.
He is also survived by six grandchildren: Hagan and Gavin Smith, Nicholas and Cash Andrews, and Madison and Jace Myers. A host of other aunts, uncles and other family and friends also survive him.
His father, Floyd Lee, preceded him in death on March 14, 2007.
The family would like to thank the staff of Seminole Estates Nursing Center for all the love and care they have given to Tony over the past few years.

David Lehman
David Eugene Lehman, age 50, died on Saturday, Oct. 25, at his residence in Tecumseh, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born March 1, 1958, in Shawnee, to Bill and Cecila (Nona) Lehman
He married Debra Anderson on Oct. 29, 1991, in Wewoka.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Lehman, of the home; three sons, Levi Lehman, Shane Jones, and Justin East, all of Konawa; one brother, Tommy Lehman, of Konawa; one sister, Matilda Silas, of Konawa, and six grandchildren.
His parents, Bill and Babe Lehman, and two brothers, Billy Ray and Bob Lehman, precede him in death.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Assembly of God Church, in Bowlegs. Pastor Roy Robertson and Willie Williams will officiate.
Pallbearers are Coby Lehman, Taylor Lehman, Dakota Lehman, Ronnie Stephens, Darryl Kuestersteffen, and Sam Silas.
Honorary pallbearers are Drew Isaacs, and Gary Isaacs.

Eula Lester
Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Eula Mae Lester are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Advantage South Chapel with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, both in Oklahoma City.
Services are under the direction of Advantage Funeral and Cremation Service, Oklahoma City.
Lester, 86, died Thursday, April 17, 2008. She was born Aug. 6, 1921 in Wapanucka, Okla., to George and Lula Mae (Turner) Bogan.
She spent several years in Wewoka, where she worked for the Department of Human Services, before moving to Oklahoma City.
Her parents; four brother; two sister; and daughter, Judi, preceded her in death.
Surviving are children: Charlene Clark, Darlene Lee, and Roberta Dorn; stepchildren: Jim Lester and Jack Lester; siblings: Dessie Judkins, Gladys Thrasher, Jean Loefelholz, Roy Bogan, Mary Jane Cook, and Barbara Taylor; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
