Funeral services for Gracie Stoup, long-time Resident of Konawa, are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.
Burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.
Rev. Richard Winters will officiate.
The Family will receive guests on Sunday, Nov. 9, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Stoup died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Norman Regional Hospital.
Stoup was born on July 4, 1925 to Iginio Pezzani and Emilia (Beretta) Pezzani in Genoa, Italy. She married Oliver Lee Stoup on Dec.30, 1946 in Pisa, Italy.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church. She was a member of the Konawa Kennedy Library Board and Konawa Band Booster Club.
She was also a member of the Phil Avant Club, Bridge Club, and Tennis Club.
She is survived by three sons, Brandon Stoup, Sheree of Roff, Mark Stoup of Konawa, and Eric Stoup of the home; one daughter, Marina Valley of Norman; and six grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Iginio and Emilia Pezzani, husband, Oliver Lee Stoup, one brother, and one sister.
Pallbearers are Tommy Sexton, Dennis Isaacs, Ray Roskopf, Mark Reeves, Brian Brooks, Lee Stoup, Ryan Stoup, and Dalton Stoup.

Delois Streater
Funeral services for Butner Native Delois June (Lemons) Streater are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Tate Mountain Cemetery, southwest of Wewoka, with Rev. Michael Vallandingham officiating.
Delois left this life to meet her Savior Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at her home, at the age of 71 years. She was born on June 19, 1936 in Okfuskee County to Vernon Wesley and Anna Laura (Gibson) Lemons.
She grew up west of Old Butner School and graduated high school in 1955. She also graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo., in 1975, with a Christian teacher’s certificate.
She married her husband, Leo "Tink" Streater, in 1955 in Holdenville. They were married for 52 years.
Delois loved raising flowers; and spending her time with her family and church family at Ideal Street Baptist Church, Seminole.
The family lived in Sand Springs, Okla., until 1976 before moving to Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Canada, as missionaries until 1989.
They returned to their home southwest of Wewoka on Tate Mountain.
Her parents and sister, Dorthy Turner, preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband, Leo "Tink" Streater of the home; daughter, Karen Streater of Wewoka; sons: Brian Streater and Alan Streater, both of Wewoka; brothers: Dale and Jerry Lemons, both of Wewoka, and Winford Lemons of Harrah; sisters: Virginia Bicknel of Wewoka, Alice Orr of Altus, and Peggy Lemons of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren: Brittany, Daryn, and Dylan Streater; and two great-grandchildren: Landon Nix and Baylee Streater.
Pallbearers will be: Roy Dale Lemons, Larry Bicknel, Tommy Lemons, Levi Lemons, and Don Streater.
Honorary bearers will be: Pat Scribner, Art Garner, Roger Jones, Danny Dearring, Link Dearring, and Dennis Bicknel.
Eldora Streater
Funeral services for former Wewoka resdient Eldora Mae "Dodie" (Jobe) Streater are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Interment is to follow at Tate Mountain Cemetery, southwest of Wewoka, with Rev. Jimmy Moreland to officiate.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Streater, 79, died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Conway Regional Hospital in Conway, Ark. She was born Sept. 18, 1928 in California, Mo., to Rubin and Blanche (Maupin) Jobe.
She and Edwin Streater were married for 47 years; he preceded her in death in May 1994. Streater was a homemaker and mother to her children.
Her parents; husband; and two sons: Jerry Paul and Quint Streater preceded her in death.
Surviving is son, Don Streater of Seminole; daughters: Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Streater and Edwina Goodman, both of Wewoka, and Cheryl Taylor of Perryville, Ark.; 21 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers for the services will be: Steven Streater, Dusty Streater, Shane Smith, Chad West, Nathan Streater, and Jeremy Streater.
Ann Strickland
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Ann Marie Strickland are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Freewill Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Interment is to follow at Duncan Cemetery, Duncan, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Strickland, 85, died Friday, April 4, 2008 in Holdenville. She was born Aug. 8, 1922 in Sulphur to W. M. and Emma Ivy (Girod) Kelton.
For 42 years she was married to James Stack before he died. Later she married Jonathan Strickland, and he preceded her in death.
She was a bookkeeper for many years before retiring. She was also an artist and avid reader.
Her parents and brothers, Sam Rowlett and Bob Rowlett, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are stepdaughters: Storm Strickland of Ada, Pam Chronister of Noble, Darice Scott of Ada; sister, Polly Dillingham of Marlow; brother, Tom Rowlett of Denton, Texas; and sister, Patsy Wilson of Checotah.
Pall Bearers will be: Darrell Dillingham, Donald Dillingham, Jeremy Ferris, Kent Rowlett, Robert Wilson, and Adam Wilson.
Honorary bearers will be: Robert Rowlett and Brian Rowlett.

Nellie Stringfellow
Nellie Frances Stringfellow, of Holdenville, died Friday, Dec. 5, at Boyce Manor in Holdenville. She was born April 23, 1923 in Boles, Ark. to parents Elzy and Lora Bell "Slagle" House.
She was a long time resident of Non and Calvin. She was raised in the Sasakwa area until she was seventeen years old when she married Sidney Stringfellow whom she was married to for 61 years.
She was a lifetime member of the Harvest Time Tabernacle Church, in Holdenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Johnny, Andrew, Elmer Lee "Bode" and David House, four sisters, Willie Katherine House, Ada Crump, Emmer and Gerty White.
She is survived by two sisters, Minnie Sherfield, of Sasakwa, and Lula Crump, of Wewoka; son, Glenn and Stringfellow, of Calvin; daughter, Linda Jones, of Calvin; 7 grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. at Harvest Time Church, in Holdenville with Rev. Jimmy Freeman Officiating.
Interment will follow at Calvin Cemetery.
Pallbearers are grandsons Michael, Todd, Steven, Shean, David, and Shane

Linda Sumter
Services for longtime Holdenville resident Linda Sue Sumter will be held on Friday, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Holdenville.
Graveside services will be held and Linda will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, Oklahoma at 3 p.m. Officiating ministers are Rev. Marla Chesser and Rev. Eric Dennis.
Services are under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.
Linda Sue Sumter passed away at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at the age of 62. Linda was the daughter of Leslie and Ruby (Reed) Montgomery, born on Feb. 11, 1946 in Claremore, Okla., where she was brought up.
She attended schools in Sequoyah and Hominystar, and was a graduate of Sequoyah High School. She became a licensed Cosmetologist after attending Roberts School of Cosmetology in Tulsa in 1963.
Linda was married to Monroe Allin Sumter on March 4, 1966, in Claremore. They lived for a few years in Dixon, Ill., where two daughters, Lanette and Amy, were born.
The family returned to Oklahoma and lived in Ardmore and in Pawhuska, then moved in 1976 to Holdenville, their home for the past thirty-two years, where their third daughter, Mandy Jo, was raised.
To Linda, her work as a Cosmetologist was not just a job, it was a profession that she totally enjoyed. She owned and operated her own place, Capri Beauty Salon, for several years, then worked at A Perfect Touch until she retired in 2000.
She always had great fun attending cosmetology conventions with other local hairdressers; those trips were special to her.
She was talented and creative; she enjoyed restoring furniture and all kinds of arts and crafts. She loved to sew and crochet, and particularly enjoyed making theme purses.
She sent her purses with various themes all over the country; she was a devoted Elvis fan and her personal favorite was her Elvis purse. She was a 4-H alumnus, and a 4-H Club leader.
She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. Her family and grandsons were the joy of her life.
Her parents, Leslie and Ruby Montgomery; her grandson, Christian, in 2000; and her half-brother, Donald Montgomery, precede Linda in death.
She is survived by her beloved husband of forty-two years, Monroe Sumter, of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law: Lanette and Phil Callison of Madill, Amy Dawn and Mike Jeter of Detroit, Mich., and Mandy Jo and Josh Roberson of Seminole; three grandchildren: Kyle Callison and Mason Callison of Madill, and Baylen Roberson of Seminole; one brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Sue Montgomery of Claremore; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.
Pallbearers are Phil Callison, Kyle Callison, Josh Roberson, Jaykob Jaynes, Darrell Allen, Roy Sumter and Bryan Carter.
Honorary pallbearers are Mason Callison, Baylen Roberson, John Akin, Harold McDonald and Sam Best.
Dolores Taliaferro
Funeral services for Dolores F. Taliaferro are scheduled for Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Konawa with Randy Jordan officiating.
Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery with services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
Mrs. Taliaferro passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at Wake Medical Center in Cary, N.C. at the age of 74. She was born July 2, 1933 in Shawnee to Rueben Harper and Allie Nora (Blackwood).
She graduated from Shawnee High School. On Oct. 30, 1972 she married George Taliaferro, Jr. in Overland Park, Kan., and he preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2001.
Dolores worked for many years in the retail women’s fashions as a manager and buyer for American Fashions Corp. in Kansas City.
Prior to that she worked in Civil Service for Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK and later retired from US Dept. of Federal Crop Insurance Corp. Actuarial Services Division in 1994.
She was a member of the American Business Womens Association.
Shortly after retirement she and her husband George, relocated from Kansas City to Norman, Okla., where she lived until 2005, when she moved to the Raleigh-Durham, N.C. area to be close to her son.
She is survived by her son, Randy W. Jordan of Fuquay Varina, N.C.; two brothers: Richard Harper of Oklahoma City, and Steven Chaney of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren: Lael Eve Jordan and Abigail Hope Jordan, both of Holly Springs, N.C. and Gabriel Asher Jordan of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Andrew J. "AJ" Harper and Billy G. Harper.
