Mildred Lucille (Brown) Yancey, 82 year-old longtime Seminole County resident died Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Seminole Estates Care Center.
She was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Maud, to parents E.L. Brown and Maudie Mae (Mcraw).
She married Vernon Elwood Yancey on Oct. 20, 1945, in Shawnee.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Seminole First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of almost 63 years, Vernon Yancey, of Seminole; three daughters, Sandra Eads, of Hungry Horse, Mo., Vickie Yancey, of Seminole, and Anna Choate, of Seminole.
Her parents, two brothers, and three sisters precede her in death.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10a.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, at Maple Grove Cemetery, in Seminole, with Rev. Allen Wood officiating.
Casket Bearers will be; Jim Benedict, Jim Lozier, Jim Grant, Jim Choate, Jimmy Choate, Jr. and Kevin Jones

Ruby Yarbrough
Burial for Wewoka native Ruby Mae Yarbrough is to be held at Tate Mountain Cemetery in Wewoka and family visitation has been scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday at 317 E. 9th in Wewoka.
Yarbrough, age 81, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008 at The Homestead of Denison, Texas.
She was born Oct. 29, 1926 in Wewoka to Charlie and Myrtle (Bryant) Murray.
In March 1944 she married C.G. Yarbrough and together they had eight children.
Her husband and four daughters: Louetta Northcott, Cleo Baxley, Linda Smith and Jean Romans, preceded her in death.
Surviving are three daughters: Pat Brock, Nora McMennamy, and Bobbie Bobbitt; son, Matt Yarbrough; 21 grandchildren; numerous gret-grandchildren; two brothers: Bob Murray and Charles "J.R." Murray; and three sisters: Charlene Mason, Marie Sneed, and Glenda "Jo" Vandigriff.
Doris Yerby
Graveside services for lifelong Seminole County resident Doris June (Huckleberry) Yerby are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Vamoosa Cemetery with Chris Stinnett officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Doris, 77, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at her home in Wolf.
She was born Feb. 25, 1931 in Vamoosa to E.E. Huckleberry and Dollie (Wynn) Huckleberry.
She graduated from Wolf High School and continued her education at Valley View School of Nursing at East Central University in Ada.
On May 29, 1948 Doris married J.R. Yerby in Wolf; he preceded her in death on July 23, 1995.
Doris worked as an LPN at Seminole Hospital for 10 years and then at Konawa Health Center for two years.
She was also a homemaker.
She was a longtime member of the Seminole Church of Christ and enjoyed water aquatics, traveling and reading.
Her mother Dollie Huckleberry (1991); her stepfather, Earl Huckleberry (1999); and her husband, Jack R. Yerby, preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law: Monty and Cynthia Yerby and Rick Yerby, all of Maud; and three grandsons: Josh and his wife, Carrie, Yerby, Matt Yerby, and Frank Yerby, all of Maud.
Casket bearers will be: Josh Yerby, Matt Yerby, Howard Owens, Frank Yerby, Monty Yerby, Rick Yerby and Frank Greene.
Honorary bearers will be: Richard Aultz, Rocky Pruitt, Cody Collins and Pat Greene.
Cynthia Yocham
Longtime Seminole resident Cynthia Gail Yocham, 51, passed away on Monday, Nov. 3, at her daughter's home, in Seminole.
Cindy died after fighting a battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born March 18, 1957, in Topeka, Kan. to Wayne and Joyce (Parker) Yocham.
She worked at Oklahoma Custom Coating for the past 8 years and had also worked at the Women's Shelter, in Seminole.
She was a member of The First Freewill Baptist Church, in Seminole.
She has been a resident for the past 12 years moving to Seminole from Richmond, Va.
Cynthia loved her children and her grandchildren.
She enjoyed getting to hear them sing and read the Bible to her.
She was also an avid worker for domestic violence and pancreatic cancer.
She is survived by her mother, Joyce Yocham, of Norman; daughter and son-in-law, Carissa and Brad Hendryx, of Seminole; one son, Richie Kelly, of Seminole; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Matt and Randi Yocham, of Norman, and Mike and Christy Yocham, of Grand Lake; grandchildren, Mariah Hendryx, Kaylynn Hendryx, Steven Hendryx and Haley Hendryx, all of Seminole; nephews, Kye and Carter Yocham, of Norman; nieces, Caiden and Kinley Yocham, of Norman; and special sons, Jared Bender, Joseph Meeks, Aaron Palmer, Davey Whitley and the Late Derek Underwood.
Casket bearers will be Matt Yocham, Steven Hendryx, Carter Yocham, Kye Yocham, Sam Adkisson and Lee Hughes.
Honorary bearers will be Roger and Lisa Mills, Rita Ballew, nurses of Heartland Hospice, Minda Assiddiq, Joy Williamson and Paulette Reece.
Funeral Services are planned for Friday, Nov. 7, at the First Freewill Baptist Church, northwest of Seminole on Highway 3; burial will follow at Little Cemetery with Rev. David McDougal.
In lieu of flowers, family request memorial donations may be made at the funeral home, to help with service expenses.

Memorial services for longtime former Seminole resident Carolyn Bunch York are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Lubbock, Texas.

York, 97, died Sunday, June 22, 2008 in Lubbock, Texas.
She was born Nov. 7, 1910 in Nashville, Ark., to Albert and Cora (Dickson) Bunch.
Her parents and her brother, Dr. Allen Bunch of Seminole, preceded her in death.
She retired from Texas Tech University, where she was a secretary to the Dean.
Surviving are nieces: Alana and Tina Bunch of Seminole; great-nieces: Stephanie Burton of Tulsa and Natalie Burton of Seminole; and great-great nephews: Aiden Larson, David Adams and David Allen Gore.
