Thomas (T.S.) Huntley was born October 4, 1965 to Stella Mae Huntley and Jake Huntley, the 13th born child. A loveable person that will be missed.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Donna Huntley; six sisters, Shirley Huntley, Lillie Huntley, Adella (Billy) Stephens, Ruby Huntley, Lavoris Huntley and Pearl Huntley along with a host of nieces and nephews, all of Wewoka.
He was proceeded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Westwood Cemetery with Rev. Rickey Burton officiating the service.
Martin Hunter
Martin Linsay Hunter, 79, Wetumka area resident, and former Seminole resident, died Friday, February 19, 2016 at his home. Martin was born on January 7, 1937 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Lester Hunter and Eva (Atchison) Hunter.
Martin retired from Pacific Gas and Electric in California after many years of service to that company as an electrician. He served as a private in the U.S. Army in 1954. He was also a Mason.
Martin married Shirley Janet Turner on March 8, 1958 in San Pablo, California and she preceded him in death on November 14, 2007.
Martin is survived by his two daughters, Kelly Diane Currier and Carla Helen Malouf both of Wetumka, Oklahoma, his sister Nina Murphy of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley, his son Robert Hunter and great-grandson Nicolas Hunter.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Pastor Brad Burton officiating at the service. Burial will follow at the Little Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be; Jesse Bunyard, Robert Silveria, Robert Malouf, William Malouf, Randall Malouf, Matt Murphy, Brandon Hunter and Robbie Hunter.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
John Hulwa
Former Seminole County resident John Joe Hulwa, age 61 years passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK. Born January 29, 1954, in Okemah, OK to the late Andy Hulwa and Sallie Roberts Hulwa.
John was a graduate of Butner Schools and worked for Collegiate Caps and gown as a material cutter for over 20 years. He was a member of Greenleaf Baptist Church.
Preceding John in death are his parents, wife Mildred and sister Nell Marie Bemo.
Survivors include his daughter Rebecca Hulwa of Oklahoma City, OK; sisters Emma Fish of Okeechobee, FL, and Bernice Fish of Oklahoma City, six grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Wake service will be 7:00 PM Friday, January 22, 2016 at Greenleaf Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Greenleaf Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Harjo officiating and Rev. Legus Harjo assisting with interment at Greenleaf Baptist Cemetery. The body will be taken to the Church at 3:30 PM on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Reese Bert Jr., Dalton Bert, Stephen Harjo, Leney McNac Jr., Roland Roberts, Randy Roberts, Sonny Hale, and Jimsey Fish.

Martha Hughes
Martha Anna Hughes was born at home in north east Edmond on March 15, 1925. She passed away in her sleep of advanced stages of Alzheimer’s disease on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at The Fountains at Canterbury, Oklahoma City. She was 90 years old. Martha was the daughter of Dudley Dewitt and Anna Theresa Ellis.
She grew up on a farm during the depression when times were hard. As the oldest child she looked after her younger brothers while her parents tended to the work on the farm, including gardening, milking, baking and canning. She is a graduate of Meridian eighth grade, attended Pleasant Valley school in Edmond and graduated Arcadia high school in 1943.
Immediately out of high school she joined thousands of other girls wanting to help the war effort and became "Rosie the Riveter." Martha worked at the Douglas plant in Midwest City. She was a bucker who worked opposite the riveter as the crew assembled C-47 Skytrain Cargo planes for the war in Japan. Just as soon as the war was over, so were the jobs at the plant. She later worked for the Daily Oklahoman as a proofreader, for the Macklanburg - Duncan plant, and for the City Bus station café.
She was married to and divorced from Bernard Stiles. Together they had one daughter, Anna Sue Stiles Austin.
Martha later married Lloyd Hughes. They were married for 45 years before his passing in 2003. They resided in many locations including Laverne, Woodward, Maud, Bowlegs, but the majority of their life together was spent in the Seminole area where she has many lifelong friends.
A woman of many gifts and talents, Martha loved to cook and was good at it. In the 1960's she and Lloyd ran the L & M Café in Bowlegs. Throughout her lifetime, Mrs. Hughes owned or managed several Cafés.
Over the years, she helped her husband run a bicycle repair shop, a mechanic shop and a number of used goods and swap-shop stores in the Seminole area. Several years during the summers they would travel from Texas to Wisconsin selling glassware and other goods on the county fair circuit.
Martha loved her blended family. Besides Martha’s daughter, Lloyd had three children from a previous marriage who they would guide and support as parents. They were also foster parents to several boys who they loved like their own children and who they kept in touch.
Preceding her in death are her parents Dudley and Theresa Ellis; her infant brothers Kenneth and Walter Ellis; her infant sister Opal Ellis; her husband, Lloyd Hughes; son, Rex Hughes; brother, Dewitt Ellis; Bernard Stiles; sister-in-law, Leigh Ellis.
Survivors include her daughter, Anna Sue Austin of Midwest City; her son Luther Cauldwell of Oklahoma City; her brother, Woodrow M. Ellis of Edmond; her daughter, Donna Stewart (Wesley) of Amarillo, TX; Loretta Jean Ronhounde of Amarillo; grandson, Mark Allen Austin (Christina) of Seminole; granddaughter, Jill Nunnelley, of Seminole; granddaughter Tonya Wren (Matt) of New Orleans, LA; Dean Hughes (Elaine) of Topeka KS; And great grandchildren Patrick Austin (and fiancé Nikki) of Seminole; Steven Austin of Seminole; Kaylee Grandstaff and Helen Nunnelley, both of Seminole; Brandon McGraw, Oklahoma City; Theron McGraw, Tecumseh; Haley and Cameron Hughes of Topeka, KS; Sister-in-law Roberta Ellis of Brookfield, Wisconsin. Along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Loved by all who knew her, she will be missed by many relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home of Edmond. A Memorial service will be held in Seminole on Friday, March 4th at 2:00 pm at the Swearingen Funeral Home.
Alma House
Alma Lucille (Wilhelm) House, 95 year old Avondale, Colorado resident and former Seminole County, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Crowley County, Colorado. She was born December 13, 1920 in Scottsboro, Alabama to parents, Thomas Jefferson "T.J." Wilhelm and Willie "Mae" (Roach) Wilhelm.
On February 23, 1938 Alma married William Columbus House in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Alma lived in Seminole County for 74 years where she was a member of the Wolf Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
Alma is survived by three daughters, Patricia A. Fowler of Avondale, Colorado, Virginia A. Reekie of Livingston, Alabama and by Linda D. Jackson of Waurika, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and by a host of other dear family and friends.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, T.J. and Mae (Roach) Wilhelm, by her husband, William C. House who died April 15, 1985, and by one son, Pete E. House who died December 20, 2011.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Wolf Cemetery with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service.

Helen Williams
Helen Imogene (Pierce) Williams was born June 17, 1922 near Duncan, OK to John and Ella Pierce. She passed away on March 5, 2016 in Wichita, KS. Helen is the youngest of John and Ella's eight children.
On July 12, 1941, Helen married Oscar C. Williams and lived in Oklahoma until 1950. Helen and Oscar moved to Wichita, KS with their two small daughters, Gloria and Judy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Bea, Nell Barker, Ruth Bogart, and her brothers Dempsey Pierce, Bob Pierce, and CR "Kido" Pierce, husband Oscar, daughter Gloria Crabtree, sons-in-law Jerry Crabtree and Jim Ross.
She is survived by daughters Judy Ross and Kathy Williams and son Charles (Jetta) Williams nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma .
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen's name to Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center or Botanica in Wichita.

Ted Haworth
Teddy R. "Ted" Haworth, 67 year old longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Seminole Care and Rehabilitation Center in Seminole. He was born November 3, 1948 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents, Milton Haworth and Gracie Elizabeth (Stockham) Haworth.
Following Ted’s graduation from Seminole High School in 1968 he went on to serve our Country in the United States Navy. He later went on to earn his associate degree from Seminole State College.
Ted married Carolyn Sue Morrison on December 28, 1974 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Ted had worked as an ordained minister, and then as a truck driver for, Tiger Truck, Independent Tank Co., Oklahoma Liquefied Gas Co. and for the City of Seminole. He was a member of the Haney Methodist Church.
Ted leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Sue Haworth of the home in Seminole; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Holt of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; three brothers, Ricky Haworth and of Seminole, Oklahoma, David Haworth of Seminole, Oklahoma, Jeff Haworth of Seminole, Oklahoma; one sister, Sharron Morris of Seminole, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.
Ted was preceded in death by his father, Milton Haworth, by his mother, Gracie Elizabeth Haworth, by his twin brother, Eddie Haworth, and by one sister, Janet Streets.

Ostie Harjo
Ostie Jane (Merritt) Harjo, 63, Wewoka resident, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in Wetumka, Oklahoma. Ostie was born July 28, 1952 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Wesley Green Sr. and Cora Mae (Lena) Green. She grew up in Wewoka, Oklahoma, where she lived most of her life. She attended Justice Schools, New Lima Schools and Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Ostie was a homemaker and was a member of the Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church, southwest of Wewoka, Oklahoma. Ostie was a proud tribal member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
She is survived by five sons; Mose Merritt of Wetumka; Edmond Harjo of Ada; Clifford Harjo of Wewoka; Charlie Harjo of Atoka; Isaiah Harjo of McAlester; one daughter, Yahnah Factor of Seminole; three brothers Billy Merritt of Seminole; Wesley Green, Jr., and Oscar Bunner both of Wewoka; four sisters Kizzie Wildcat of Wetumka; Vanessa Green of Wewoka; Linda Martin of Seminole and Mary Woods of Maud; 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Ostie was preceded in death by her parents; a son Christopher Merritt, Maternal grandparents Charley and Winey (Joshua) Lena, Paternal Grandparents Ena and Annie (Harjo) Green, a brother Charles Merritt, two great nephews and two great nieces, family and friends.
Funeral services are planned for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Houston Tiger officiating. Burial will follow at the Fixico-Lena Family Cemetery, south of Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Wake services will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.

Beatrice Haas
Beatrice D. (Guinn) Haas, age 89 and a longtime resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away at her home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. David Sutton and Rev. Quinton Kay will officiate. Burial will follow at Vista Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Kirk Etheridge, Scott Haas, Randy Haas, Jake Kay, Ron Kinnamon, and George Wallace. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Davis, Jim Stockton, Ernest Stuckey, and Mace Perry.
Bea was born April 21, 1926 in Konawa to Rev. E.J. Guinn and Lee (Oxley) Guinn. She graduated from Shawnee High School, and married George E. Haas on October 26, 1945 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
She was a member of the N.E. Free Will Baptist Church of Shawnee. She also worked at Sears and at Kress stores.
She is survived by one son, Harold Haas Lou of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Connie Lee (Haas) Kay of Konawa, Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law, Mary (Haas) McCuistion of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, Nancy (Schultz) Haas of Garland, Texas, and June Haas of Waldron, Arkansas; five grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. E.J. Guinn and Lee (Oxley) Guinn; her husband, George E. Haas; four sisters, Beulah (Guinn) Kinnamon, Vesta (Guinn) Sparks, and Wanda (Guinn) Sangster, and Earlene (Guinn) Perry.
