Lois Emarthle

Lois Janett (Foraker) Emarthle, age 82 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at her home.

A wake service is scheduled for Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 at the funeral home. Rev. George Harjocee will officiate, and burial will follow at Alex Emarthle Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Calvin Harjo, Neal Harjo, Solomon Garrison, Jonah Garrison, Casey Tsosie, and Haydoekeo Tsosie.

Honorary pallbearers are Gary Tomahsah, Mick Weryackwe, Ricky Harjo, Robert Bushy, George Anaya, Steve Harjo, and T.J. Overbey.

Lois will be taken to the home Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. for viewing, and she will be brought back to the funeral home Thursday at 4:00 p.m. for the Wake service.

Lois was born August 16, 1933 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Charles Foraker and Amanda (Cooper) Foraker.

She married Alex Herbert Emarthle June 21, 1953 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was a Chickasaw Tribal Member and a member of the Standing Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Alan Emarthle of Six Nations Reserve, Canada; five daughters, Debra Harjo of Seminole, Darlene Emarthle of Konawa, Denise Emarthle of Konawa, Diane Emarthle of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Melody Emarthle of Konawa; two sisters, Charlesetta Carrillo of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Laquita Tomahsah of Lawton, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Amanda Foraker; her husband, Rev. Alex Herbert Emarthle; one grandson, Aaron Harjo; and one sister, Charlotte Nevaquaya.

Kenneth Elliot

Kenneth W. Elliott age 82 passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at his Tulsa residence.

Ken was born May 5, 1933 in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma to Walter Elliott and Arlie (Lyles) Elliott.

He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. He married the love of his life, Ruth E. Canaday, in Cromwell, Oklahoma.

Ken worked as a union carpenter in the building industry for twenty years. He was a member of Eastland Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Arlie Elliott and his son, Kenneth (Kenny) Elliott, Jr.

Ken is survived by his wife, Ruth Elliott, his children Jeanny Allensworth of Cromwell, Oklahoma, Shreta Martinez of Alice, Texas, Sylvia Campbell of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Scott Elliott of Catoosa, Kenneth Elliott III "Rusty" of Claremore, Linda Edens of York, South Carolina, his stepdaughters, Shelia Morgan of Broken Arrow, Sherrie Dawson of Verdigris, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Private family services are being planned.

Irene Dunn

Edith "Irene" (Harper) Dunn, lifelong Seminole County resident, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at Seminole Care and Rehabilitation Center in Seminole at the age of 90.

She was born September 13, 1925 in Seminole County to Samuel and Edith M. (Britton) Harper.

Irene graduated from Varnum High School in 1944. She worked for a short time at Douglas Aircraft after high school.

Irene married Clyde E. Seay and he preceded her in death in 1968. She later married Marvin Dunn on May 14, 1969 in Seminole and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2009.

Irene is survived by one son, Ronald Seay of Seminole; daughter, Pamela Blalock of Seminole; grandchildren, Kerry Robertson and husband Shane, Casey Lyle, Kevin Lyle, Katie Therrien and husband Carl, Brittany Hamilton and husband Brian; great grandchildren, Jacob Blalock and Gage Robertson; great-great-children, Raylee and Weston; nephews, Bill Jones, Gerald Jones and Kenneth Charles Self; niece,

Teresa Quiett; special close friend, Sissy Bailey and a host of other family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry Chambless on December 20, 2008; two sisters, Alma Jones and Helen Self; two brothers, Eugene and Alvick Harper and her beloved dog, Skip.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Little Cemetery in Seminole with Larry Vickers officiating.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.

Charles Driggers

Charles David Driggers, 70, Wewoka resident, died Monday, January 18, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on October 18, 1945 to Charley Mosely Driggers and Wilma Jane (Riley) Driggers.

Charles was a longtime coach and teacher in the following schools, Fillmore, Wister, Dustin, Coleman, Bowlegs, Butler and Justice Schools south of Wewoka where he retired in 2013. Charles graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma in 1973.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Susan Driggers on September 26, 2015.

Charles was survived by his daughter Michelle Nelson of Seminole, Oklahoma, David Garrett Driggers of Seminole, Oklahoma, two grandchildren and his sisters, Ann Massengill and Jan Casey, six nieces and nephews and several other family members.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Rev. Jason Yarbrough officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the Condon Grove Cemetery near Milburn, Oklahoma with David Boggs officiating.

The family will receive friends at a visitation on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Swearingen Funeral Home.

Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole Oklahoma is in charge of service.

Gladys Donaldson

Gladys Chadick Donaldson departed this life Monday, March 28th, 2016 in Muskogee, OK at the age of 78 years. She was born in Eufaula, OK on March 21, 1938 to the late Jesse Luke Moody and Grace Pearl (Prater) Moody.

She worked for Jerrell Clothing Factory as manager in the sewing department. Her hobbies were bowling with the league, country dancing, and spending time with family and friends.

Preceding Gladys in death are her parents, first husband Bob Chadick.

Survivors include her husband Darrel Donaldson of Ft Worth, TX; two sons and spouses Bob Chadick and Teri of Norman, OK, Tom Chadick and Kelli of Nashville, TN; step-sons John Donaldson and wife Jan of Ft Worth TX and Andy Donaldson and wife Toni of Ft Worth, TX; five grandchildren Amy Sneed of Ada, OK, Nichole Judd of Midwest City, OK, Brady Chadick, and Savanna Chadick both of Gainsville, TX and Riley Thomas of Nashville, TN: sisters Wilma Moody of Muskogee, OK, Eunice Mizell of Skitaook, OK, Ruby Dismuke of Tulsa, OK, one bother D L Moody of Oklahoma City and two brother-in-laws Jim Chadick and Zane Smith of Wewoka, OK

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2016 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Basden officiating and burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Bennie Cunningham

Bennie Wayne Cunningham, a resident of Prague, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the age of 52 at his home surrounded by family and friends.

Bennie was born September 15, 1964 at Amarillo, Texas to parents, Billy Wayne Cunningham and Donna Elaine Roberts.

Bennie married Gwendolyn Diane (Geraldon) Cunningham on February 13, 1993 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bennie was of the Baptist faith, served in the United States Navy. Bennie was a owner and broker in the meat industry.

Bennie loved going fishing at Eufaula Lake, he loved hunting, playing golf, Thunder Basketball and OU Football.

Bennie is survived by his wife, Diane Cunningham of the home; mothers, Dorothy Cunningham of Center, Texas and Donna Roberts of Romulas, Oklahoma; one son, Joseph Tenpenny and his wife Ariel of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; two daughters, Nicole Nowlin and her husband Ryan of Wichita, Kansas, Rachelle Lehman and her husband Ryan of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, Billy Cunningham and his wife Nikki of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren, Hunter Lehman, Anna Lehman, Lane Tenpenny, Kendall Scott, Emerson Nowlin and Natalie Nowlin.

Bennie was preceded in death by his father, Billy W. Cunningham; grandparents, Billy and Joyce Cunningham, Everett and Bessie Wiggins; two uncles, Bruce Cunningham and Barry Cunningham; one aunt, Sue Wiggins; and great niece Keeleigh Cox.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Highway Baptist Church of Little, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma.

Family and friends are encouraged to wear their OU apparel while attending the funeral service.

Serving as casket bearers are: Ryan Lehman, Ryan Nowlin, Joseph Tenpenny, Billy Cunningham, Kevin Moore and Rick Smith. Honorary casket bearers are Hunter Lehman and Lane Tenpenny.

Visitation will begin Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m..

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, October 3, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m..

Barbara Crelia

Barbara Sue Crelia (Boatman) of Wewoka passed away at home on Sunday, January 31, 2016. She was born on June 11, 1946 to Henry Boatman and Lilian (Smith) Boatman in Wewoka.

Barbara grew up and attended school in Wewoka. She married her husband Carl Crelia on September 10, 1962 at the Wewoka Assembly of God Church. Barbara was an avid sports fan and loved to watch the OU Sooners. She loved music, cooking and flying and was an excellent copilot. Barbara also loved to spend time with her family at any opportunity.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; Henry and Lilian Boatman, and a brother; Bob Gray. She is survived by her husband; Carl Crelia, her children; Dwayne Crelia and wife Penny of Seminole, Michael Crelia and wife Vanessa of Tuscon, Arizona, Jerry Crelia and wife Milisa of Waco, Texas, and Lisa Black of Wewoka, nine grand children, four great grand children, her sister; Donna Holland and husband Dewayne of Wewoka, her brother; Eddie Boatman and wife Cleta of Seminole, and her sister Glenna Sneed of Wewoka, as well as numerous other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the Wewoka Church of Christ, with Raymond Cain officiating and Aaron Alsbrooke assisting. Interment will follow at the Tate Mountain Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka.

Dottie Craft

Dorothy "Dottie" King Craft, 82, passed away on May 4, 2016 in Shawnee, OK after a long illness. She was the wife of Joe Craft of Earlsboro, Oklahoma who passed from this life on May 4, 2016 just a few hours after Dorothy.

Dorothy was born on September 6, 1933 in Many, LA, the daughter of Lena Graham and Willie Ray. A long-time resident of Seminole, Dorothy was retired from First State Bank in Seminole and had been an active volunteer in Pink Ladies of Seminole and was a Red Hat Lady.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, W. R. "Bill" King, and a daughter, Virginia King Brenner of Great Meadow, NJ.

She is survived by a daughter, Pam Duncan of Harrah, OK, a son, William R King Jr of Stamford, CT, and a brother, Bennie Ray of Seattle, WA. She is also survived by 1ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole, OK.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org/donate would be appreciated.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Joe Craft

Joe Kenneth Craft, 95, longtime Seminole/Earlsboro resident, died Wednesday May 4, 2016 at Avonlea Cottage in Seminole, Oklahoma. Joe was born August 26, 1920 in Cordell, Oklahoma to Albert Edward Craft and Norma (Haliburton) Craft.

Joe worked for Skelly Oil Company for 15 years in the Velma, Oklahoma area. After Skelly Oil merged with Getty Oil Company, he worked for them as an oilfield mechanic for over 20 years. He also was an oilfield pumper and rancher while holding down his full time job. Joe retired at the age of 63, but continued ranching and pumping wells for several companies in the Seminole, Oklahoma area.

He was a family man and a loving father. He was a Godly man who raised his children to go to church. He loved hunting, fishing and raising cattle. Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Mr. Craft was survived by his sons; Randy Craft and his wife Peggy of Houston, Texas, Terry Craft and his wife Karla of Velma, Oklahoma; two daughters Phyllis Adams and her husband Ollie of Seminole, Oklahoma, and Pam Gustus and her husband Steve of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His grandchildren, Rory O’Neal, Kim Hooker, Keith Moreland, Kendall Moreland, Julie Branson, Dusty Gustus, Tiffany Portwig, Courtney Craft, Rodney Craft, JB Craft, Laci Zeist and Tony Craft.

Mr. Craft was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, LaNore Craft and his 2nd wife, Dorothy King Craft, his daughter Kay Waller, grandson, Trent Craft, granddaughter, Diane Griffin, all his siblings and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Immanuel Fellowship

Church, on Highway 3 north of Seminole State College, with Pastor Tim Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
