ARLINGTON, Texas — Services for Oleta Pauline Brown, 85, Arlington, are noon Tuesday at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes, Fort Worth. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Laurel Land Funeral Home. A graveside service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Okmulgee (Okla.) Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died May 13, 2005, at Arlington.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a grandson, Monty Brown; two nieces, Donna Isley and her husband Mike, and Joan Adams and her husband Bob; a sister-in-law, Berniece Mathews; and several other nieces and nephews.

ADA — Graveside services for Nyda Ruth Womack, 74, Ada, are 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Odessa, Texas, Griffin Jones officiating.
Mrs. Womack died May 12, 2005, at an Ada hospital. She was born Jan. 10, 1931, at Duncan to Allen Wilson Echols and Ethel Estelle Hall Echols.
She attended New Mexico Junior College, where she earned an LPN license. She worked for Midland Memorial Hospital at Midland, Texas, for many years. She moved from Midland to Ada in 1994.
She married Jack Carl Womack, Oct. 16, 1947, at Lovington, N.M. He died Sept. 10, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Ethel Echols.
Survivors include a son, Kirk Womack and his wife Linda, Ada; a daughter, Neysa Powell and her husband Dwayne, Irving, Texas; a brother, Bob Echols, Ada; a sister, Sharon Williams, El Reno; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

CHOCTAW — Services for Lucille A. Burditt, 86, Choctaw, are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ada First Free Will Baptist Church, the Rev. Larry Montgomery officiating. Burial follows at Non Cemetery near Calvin.
Mrs. Burditt died Friday, May 13, 2005, at a Midwest City hospital. She was born Dec. 19, 1918, at Gerty to G.L. and Ethel Tate Bain.
She moved to Ada from Palestine, Texas, in 1996. She worked in payroll at the University of Texas at Galveston for many years. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and was a director for Lifeline in Santa Fe, Texas.
She married Sam R. Burditt at Atwood in January 1938. He died in June 1995.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, G.L. and Ethel Bain; four brothers, George Lee, Luther, Eulis and Clarence Bain; seven sisters, Minnie Tipton, Matilda Purser, Tennie Ingram, Claudine Hanley, Marsleet Chisum, Marie Montgomery and Retha Tollett.
Bearers are Dale Bain, Roger Montgomery, Bill Tipton, Delton Tollett, Lynn Tollett and Terry Muck.

Mr. Hallum died Friday, May 13, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1985, in Wewoka. He lived in this area most of his life, and lived in Okmulgee from October 2003-November 2004. He attended school in Ada, and also attended Okmulgee High School. He had worked at New Horizons at the car wash and trash pick up. He was a member of Central Church of Christ.
Survivors include his parents, Cecil and Debbie Hallum, of the home; two brothers, Jeremy Hallum and wife Gina, Ada, and Benjamin Hallum, of the home; one sister, Talla Hallum, of the home; a foster sister, Katrina, and a foster brother, Ethan; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Hallum, Ada; and maternal grandmother, Freda Horn, Ada.

A Graveside Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2005 at South Park Cemetery for Ruby Griffin Holt Johns, age 97, of Roswell, who passed away May 10, 2005 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Pastor Jim Suttle of Calvary Chapel of Roswell will officiate. Visitation was held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2005 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
Miss Ruby was born November 16, 1907 in Nashville, Arkansas to Rube and Fanny Griffin. They have preceded her in death as well as her first husband, Guy N. Holt and her second husband, Murray C. Johns. She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Hugh, Matthew, Brown and Dick Griffin; and a sister: Rachel Scroggins.
She is survived by her daughters: Dolores “Dokie” Singleton and her husband, Bob of Miami, Florida and Jane “Spunky” Baldock and her husband, Bobby of Roswell; one son: William “Billy” Johns of Dexter, NM; two stepsons: Donald and Murray Johns of Oklahoma; two granddaughters: Jan Ayerst and her husband, Doug of Delray Beach, Florida and Lin Singleton of Alamogordo, NM; two grandsons: Bobby J. Baldock and his wife, Dawn of Mesa, Arizona and Christopher Baldock; seven great grandchildren: Rebecca, Robert, Matthew and Katharine Ayerst of Delray Beach, Florida, Erin Leadingham of Alamogordo, NM and Garrett and David Baldock of Mesa, Arizona; plus many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Johns received her teaching certificate from East Central State College in Ada, Oklahoma before she married Guy Holt. After their marriage, they moved to Oil Center, NM where she was postmaster and was also engaged in the grocery and oil business with her husband. They moved to Roswell in 1945 where they owned and operated the Ideal Food Mart until Guy’s death in 1946. She worked in various retail stores and later married Murray Johns.
She learned to swim, ride a bike and paint later in life. She was a gifted writer, artist and active businesswoman. She was very devoted to her family and was dearly loved.
