Thelma Louise (Pippins) Morris, age 82 and a resident of Asher, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital.
Services are planned for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Asher, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma. Pastor Dale Griffith will officiate. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Quinton City Cemetery in Quinton, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers are Justin Morris, Brandon Morris, Clyde Morris, Korey Hokett, Jack Coker, and James Thomason.
Thelma was born January 10, 1934 in Russellville, Oklahoma, to Jessie Clarence Pippins and Lillie Gladys (Smith) Pippins. She graduated from Quinton High School, and she attended college in Finley, Oklahoma.
Thelma married Bobby Joe Morris May 21, 1955 in Oklahoma City at the Church of God. She worked as a bookkeeper for two department stores, and Bobby worked for Tinker Air Force Base for 21 years. They were married for 59 years before he passed away October 30, 2014.
Thelma is survived by two sons, Mark Morris of Norman, Oklahoma, and Ronald Morris of Asher, Oklahoma; one brother, J. D. Pippins of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Lillie Pippins; her husband, Bobby Joe Morris; one son, Kevin Morris; two brothers, Elery Harold Pippins and Dource Pippins; and one granddaughter, Amy Digison.
Sherman Mitchell Sr.
Sherman Mark Daniel Mitchell, Sr. 26, Shawnee resident died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Sherman was born July 1, 1989 in Sherman, Texas to Hiram Beverly Mitchell, Jr. and Marilyn Ruth (Shaw) Mitchell. Sherman grew up in Seminole and attended and graduated from Seminole High School, where he played football, basketball and was active in Weightlifting.
Sherman was a member of the Galilee Temple of Praise and Deliverance in Seminole, Oklahoma, where he sang in the choir.
He is survived by his father and mother; Hiram B. Mitchell, Jr. and Marilyn R. Mitchell of Shawnee, Oklahoma; his son Sherman Mark Daniel Mitchell, Jr. of Seminole, Oklahoma, daughter Kadynce Danyell Mitchell of Seminole, Oklahoma; brothers Stacey A. Mitchell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Eddie C. Mitchell of Norman, Oklahoma, Hiram L. Mitchell III of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Markus D. Mitchell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Noah Isaiah Mitchell of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Immanuel Gerald Dean Mitchell of Shawnee, Oklahoma, sisters Rahsheliah Harper of Moore, Oklahoma, Audra L. Rex of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Gamaliel Mitchell of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his four uncles; Larry T. Crawford, Sr., Leonard Mitchell, Andre Shaw and Franklin Shaw, both paternal and maternal grandparents; Seymore and Geraldine Shaw and Hiram and Bernice Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Fresh Fire Outreach Center located at 1101 E. Main Street in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Pastor Geraldine Crawford and Seymore Shaw, Jr. will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Casket bearers will be: Fredrick Shaw II, Antonio Depp, Javelin Hartfield, Fredrick Shaw Jr, Quintel Burris, and Jimmie Hartfield Barkus.
Honorary bearers will be: Jalik Barkus, Larry Crawford III, Seymore Shaw III, Garrison Combs, Anthony Powell, Cornelus Crawford, Larry Crawford Jr, and Timothy Crawford.

Deutreen Miller
Deutreen Elisbeth Miller, long time Seminole resident passed away, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 88.
Deutreen was born March 12, 1927 in Calera, Oklahoma to parents, John Robinson and Jewel (Self) Robinson. She married Hans Macnay Miller, November 3, 1945 in Madera, California. She moved from California in 2005.
Deutreen was of the Christian faith and a Convalescent Home nurse’s aid from which she retired.
Deutreen is survived by three sons, Johnnie Miller of Seminole, Oklahoma, Tracy Miller of Chowchilla, California and Michael Miller of Oak Dale, California; four daughters, Sandra Renteria of Seminole, Oklahoma, Deborah Martin of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Marchelle Miller of Chowchilla, California, Louanne McGhee of LasVegas, Nevada; one sister, Patty Self Walker of Chowchilla, California.
Deutreen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jewel Robinson; four brothers, Toots Robinson, Jack "Shorty" Robinson, Dutch Robinson, Pete Robinson and one sister Vi Jones.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
Jalean McGaugh
Services for Jalean McGaugh, 97, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Harold Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. McGaugh passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at a local nursing home. She was born August 23, 1918 in Bebee to Ben and Mae Glover Crow. She was born a twin.
She grew up in Wewoka and graduated from Wewoka High School in 1936 and also graduated from Hills Business College in Oklahoma City.
She married Lonnie Lester McGaugh on January 15, 1937. He preceded her in death June 8, 2011. They were married 74 years. She and her family moved to Ada in 1962.
Mrs. McGaugh was a homemaker and had also worked for McBride Clinic as the office manager and later for Carl D. Osborn, M. D., retiring in 1993. Mrs. McGaugh had many interests: gardening, flowers and most of all her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry McGaugh of McAlester and Jack McGaugh and his wife Lea Ann of Flint, MI; four grandchildren, Kevin McGaugh, Ada, Mike Christopher, Frisco, TX, Stacy McGaugh, Cleveland, OH and Eric McGaugh of East Lansing, MI; eight great-grandchildren; and a twin sister, Nadean Cluck of Wewoka.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
Emmit McCraw
Emmit Huegene McCraw, age 80 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life Friday, April 22, 2016 at the V.A. Center in Sulphur, Oklahoma.
A Wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Monday Night, April 25th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church four miles west of Konawa. Fr. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. will officiate.
The Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 26th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with full Navy military honors. Fr. Adrian will officiate, and burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Bob Bassett, Alan Bassett, Donnie Payne, Gary Payne, Tiffany Huddleston, and Jared Factor. Honorary pallbearers are Alex Bayarena, Junus Malone, Gene Inmon, and Eddie Inmon. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Taps will be played by his grandson, Jake Douglas McCraw.
Emmit was born to James Edward McCraw and Laura (Lehman) McCraw at Sacred Heart, Oklahoma. Emmit enlisted in the United States Navy in 1955.
He retired in 1975 receiving numerous medals over his career, including Defense Service Medals, Vietnam Service Medals, Armed Forces Expeditionay Medal, and a Bravery Commendation.
He served on four attack aircraft carriers. He also retired from the Oilfield Industry after more than twenty years.
He married Judy (Carr) McCraw on December 14, 1984 in Ada, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife, Judy McCraw of the home; one daughter, Vickey (McCraw) Harjo of Denver, Colorado; one son, Bruce McCraw of Konawa; three step-sons, Junus Malone of Corpus Christi, Texas, Gene Inmon, of Konawa, Eddie Inmon of Konawa; one step-daughter, Mary Bayarena of Corpus Christi, Texas; four brothers, Glen McCraw, Jimmy McCraw, Jerry McCraw all of Konawa, and Dean McCraw of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two sister, Geneva Heskett of Dallas, Texas, and Carolyn Bassett of Maud, Oklahoma; many grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Laura McCraw; one son, Doug "Butch" McCraw; one daughter, Kathy (McCraw) Wolf, and one granddaughter, Chelsea Rachele McCraw.
Mary Clymer
Mary Helen Clymer, 87, longtime Seminole resident, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Mary was born November 16, 1928 in Eldorado, Arkansas, to Smith "Doc" Arnold and Alice (Bass) Arnold.
Mary worked for various oil companies in the Seminole area for many years as a secretary. She had also worked for O G & E and the City of Seminole. Mary was a member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ and served as a Pink Lady at the Seminole Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting and painting.
She married Marvin "Bo" Clymer on August 28, 1964 in Seminole, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2014.
Mary is survived by her sister Alice "Sally" Christopher of Seminole, Oklahoma, her nieces Sue Herriman, Jackie Acree and her husband Sam, of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Jamie Bates and her husband Steve Frazier of Kansas City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bo Clymer and her brother, Jack Arnold.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Strother Historic Memorial Chapel at Maple Grove Cemetery, with Bobby Allen officiating.

Noma Mansell
Noma June (Thomas) Mansell, 83 year old longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, February 29, 2016 at her home in Seminole. She was born April 28, 1932 in Dustin, Oklahoma to parents, Cecil Frank Thomas and Marjorie Curley (Lee) Thomas.
On November 26, 1954 Noma married Samuel T. "Sam" Mansell in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Noma and her family have been long associated with the Assembly of God Churches in the Seminole County area. She was a charter member of Tri-City Christian Center (now known as Immanuel Fellowship Church). Noma was very strong in her faith and would often minister to many in the community. She was a member of the American Bible Society where she had served as area coordinator. Serving as area coordinator she was blessed with the opportunity to travel the world. Noma enjoyed leading Bible studies, shopping, camping, boating, fishing, and she was a wonderful cook.
Noma was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and most of all a child of God.
Noma leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of almost 62 years, Sam Mansell of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Anthony Mansell and his wife Donna of Pasco, Washington, Scott Allen Mansell and his wife Jennifer of Farmington, New Mexico, one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Loretta Thomas of Kennard, Texas, one sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Eugene Melton of Wichita, Kansas, 5 grandchildren, Andy Mansell, Alan Mansell, Katelyn Mansell, Hollie Mansell and Nate Mansell. She is also survived by a very special couple she and Sam adopted in Spirit, Dee and Calvin Bennett of Seminole, Oklahoma, and their son Jonathan Bennett whom she considered a grandson. Noma is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends.
Noma was preceded in death by her parents, by one son, Thomas Ray Mansell and by one brother, Gene Thomas.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Glen Pence officiating the service. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.

Rickey Lovett
Rickey Lynn Lovett, 59, of Wewoka, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at OU Medical Center. He was born July 19, 1956 to Ralph L. Lovett and Adrian L. (Landrith) Lovett in Seminole, Ok.
Rick grew up in Seminole and joined the Army National Guards. He worked as an oily in the oilfield for 25 years before becoming disabled.
Rick married Atonia Kaye Cordell in 1975. Together they had two sons; Bradly Scot Lovett and Rickey Lynn Lovett Jr. Atonia (Toni) passed away with breast cancer in 2007. In 2013 Rick married Linda L. Gean.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Atonia, son Brad and two sisters Linda Robinson and Beverly Walters.
Rick is survived by his wife Linda Gean; son Rickey L. Lovett Jr., grandson Mario Martinez and dog Rot, all of the home; sister Sharon Lovett, brothers Paris Lovett and wife Kim; his twin Mickey L. Lovett and wife Cindy; three stepkids, Charlie Whitlock, Clayton Whitlock and Marvelle Whitlock; three brother-in-laws, Robbie Cordell and wife Gayle, Rickey (Pete) Cordell and Billy (B.J.) Cordell and wife Tami; Summer Barnett, mother of five of Rick’s grandchildren; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and lots of friends. He will be missed by many. I love you Dad.

Danny Kreeger
Danny Allen Kreeger, 60 year old longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Monday, April 18, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born February 27, 1956 in Hobbs, New Mexico to parents, Billy Wayne Kreeger and Billie A. (Goodwin) Kreeger.
Danny graduated from Seminole High School in 1974. He went on to earn his associate degree from Seminole State College.
On July 26, 1975 Danny married Jane Ware at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Danny owned and operated Specialty Tire LLC. on East Broadway in Seminole for 35 years.
Danny was very active with the Tiny Chiefs Football Association, serving as chairman most of the 17 years he worked with the organization. He was also a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Seminole.
Danny leaves to cherish his memories his wife of almost 41 years, Jane (Ware) Kreeger of the home; two sons, Kyle Kreeger of Seminole, Oklahoma, Colt Kreeger of Greeley, Colorado; his father, Bill Kreeger of Seminole, Oklahoma; his sister, Mitzi and Houck of Seminole, Oklahoma; his mother-in-law, LaVonne Ware of Seminole, Oklahoma; his sister-in-law, Teresa of Seminole; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces nephews and a number of dear friends.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Billie Kreeger (2013); by one brother, Darrell Kreeger (2008); and by his father-in-law, Jim Ware (2001).
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at The Seminole First Baptist Church located at 420 Reid Street in Seminole, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery located north of Seminole on Hwy. 99.

Augusta Kersey
Augusta Belle " Aunt Gus" Kersey, 90, longtime former Seminole resident died, Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Norman, Oklahoma, where she had been living for past few years with her son and daughter-in-law.
She was born January 16, 1926 in Mesilla Park, New Mexico to Thomas Lyle and Ethel (Stansill ) Lyle. She came to Seminole as a young girl.
She graduated from Seminole High School, and worked and as a nurse’s aide at Seminole Hospital and was a homemaker. Augusta was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church.
She married Clarence Lester Kersey on June 24, 1945 in Seminole, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2001.
She is survived by her son Tim Kersey of Norman, Oklahoma, six grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Mildred (Kersey) Farley, two brothers, one sister and a son Chris Kersey.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday February 19, 2016 at the Franklin Baptist Church at 72nd and Franklin road in Norman, Oklahoma, with burial following at 4:00 P.M. at Little Cemetery north of Seminole, Oklahoma.
