Joe Henry Baughman, 55 years old passed away on April 9, 2015 in Oklahoma City.
Joe was born on July 20, 1959 in Claremore, Okla. to Ray Henry Baughman and Christine Ruth (Noah) Collins.
Joe went to school at Seneca & Sequoyah Indian Schools.
He also attended Oklahoma City Trade School to be a mechanist.
He worked for many years in the shipping and receiving department for Tanaka Produce in Oklahoma City.
Preceding Joe in death are his parents.
He leaves behind his wife, Bernice (Harjo) Baughman of Seminole, his daughters, Crystal Baughman of Oklahoma City and Christine Baughman and husband Michael Vasquez of Seminole, sisters Victoria Collins and Lori Collins both of Oklahoma City, four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A wake service was held at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville.
Rev. Ed Bear will officiate the service.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville.

James Darrell Bean, 56, of Konawa, Okla., passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 in Oklahoma City.
Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bruce Sanders of Vamoosa Baptist Church officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Lavonne Bert
Lavonne Bert, age 53 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma departed this life on Friday, March 6th, 2015 in Oklahoma City.
Born Sept. 27th, 1961 in Oklahoma City to Clyde Bert and Emma Lee Cochran.
She was a former resident of Wewoka, Okla.
Lavonne was a graduate of Wewoka high school.
She was of the Christian faith.
Preceding Lavonne in death is one daughter Candance Daniellia Bert.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Westwood Cemetery, with Rev. Arnelious Crenshaw Jr. officiating.

Jessie Beshears
Jessie Ray Beshears Jr., Seminole resident, died Sunday, March 08, 2015 at his residence in Seminole at the age of 56.
He was born Aug. 3, 1958 in Tulare, Calif. to Jessie Ray Beshears and Frances Lorene (Sylvester).
After high school, Jessie enlisted in the US Army and later received an Honorable Discharge.
He married Tamie (McDaniel) on June 25, 1993 in McAlester, Okla.
They moved to Seminole in 1999.
Jessie was a truck driver for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Tamie of the home; daughters, Jennie Ellis and husband Danny of Dallas, Tex., Barbara Patterson and husband Shannon Calger of Wewoka and Michelle Patterson of Gadsden, AL; brothers, Kenny Beshears of Johnson City, Tex., Ronnie Beshears and wife Ragina of Bowlegs, Okla., Randy Beshears and wife Laura of Burnet, Tex., Greg Crase and wife Debbie of Wichita Falls, Tex., Eddie Crase and wife Diana of Moore, Okla. and Aaron Beshears and wife Ashley of Durant, Okla, ; sisters, Kimberly Schafer of Buchanan Dam, Tex. and Melissa Bryant and husband Larry of Reydon, Okla.; brother-in-law, Allen McDaniel and wife Collen of McAlester, Okla.; four granddaughters, Maliah, Athena, Isabella and Destiny; one grandson, Christopher; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Jessie was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Beshears, Sr., mom, Wanda Beshears and his biological mother, Lorene Fowler.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the family’s residence, 310 N. 8th Street in Seminole and will last all day.

Jimmy Blakley
Jimmy Dail Blakley, 70, Seminole resident, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015 in Edmond, Okla.
Jimmy was born May 2, 1944 in Olustee, Okla., to Hagar Marie ( Atterberry) and Troy Charles Blakley.
Jim came to Seminole 35 years ago from La Grange, Georgia to make Seminole his home.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church where he was active and sang at services there.
Jim was a cowboy and loved horses and goats; he played the guitar and piano.
Jim owned and operated Jim’s Service Center in Seminole, Okla. where he had done mechanic work for over 20 years.
Before owning his own business he was a roustabout for Red’s Roustabout service, drove for Bill Clark’s Wrecker Service and drove for Little River Express.
Jim married Mary Ann (Goodfellow) Blakley on May 8, 1962 in Quanah, Tex.
Jim is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Vicky Blakley of Seminole, Okla.
Two daughters Connie and Steve Little Seminole, Oklahoma and Joyce and Kevin Anderson of Norman, Okla., his brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Glenda Blakley of West Point, Georgia and sister and brother-in-law Lou Ann and Jerry Templeton of Valley, Ala., eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m.., Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Pastors Danny and Linda Allison officiating.

Lois Bone
Lois Pauline (Forbes) Blythe Bone of St. Louis, Oklahoma entered eternal life on Jan. 24, 2015 at her home, she was 98 years old.
Lois was born Feb. 21, 1916 in Shawnee, Okla. to Delmar Clinton and Lillie Vetner (Brown) Forbes.
Lois has lived in the Pottawatomie county area all her life and in St. Louis for 74 years.
She was a member of the St. Louis Baptist Church.
She was also a member of the Maud Eastern Star Chapter.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Juanita Spillers and husband Tom of Wagoner, Okla., three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 49 years, George Blythe, her second husband, George Bone, and her son, Terry Blythe.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015 at the First Baptists Church of St. Louis, Okla.
Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery near Macomb, Okla. Glen Peck will officiate at the services.
Pallbearers are Steve McBride, Zach McBride, Evan McBride, Jarred Blythe, Mike Blythe, and Grant Blythe. Honorary bearers are Mike Cooper, Ty Dean and Dean Mason.

Joseph Bounds

Joseph Daniel Bounds, age 26 and a resident of Konawa, Okla. passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 in Seminole, Okla.
Mr. Bounds will be taken to his home located at 35449 EW 1390 Konawa, Oklahoma at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25th for viewing.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa with Louis Jones officiating the service.
Burial will follow at the Davis Family Cemetery in Sasakwa.
Pallbearers are Hank Harjo, Brandon Harjo, Patrick Harjo, Brian Harjo, Tommy Harjo, Chris Gomez, Steven Alexander, Eric Coley, and Tommy Smith.

oe enjoyed going hunting, fishing, "hanging out" with his family, and riding with his brothers and friends.
He was a great guy to be around, and he would always try to be of help whenever possible.
"He loved life, and many hearts are broken. Our Joe Bounds will always and forever be in our hearts. He will be missed dearly."
He is survived by his father, Richard Bounds and step-mother, Tooter Bounds of Konawa; mother, Cecelia (Harjo) Howell and step father, Danny Howell of Konawa; one brother, Roman Cosar of Konawa; four sisters, Melanie McClain of Ada, Okla., Karen Bounds of Francis, Okla., Andrea Bounds of Ada, Okla., and Melissa Bounds, also of Ada; one brother-in-law, Jesse Harrison; four uncles, David, Dale, Terry, and Carl Harjo; one aunt, Lahoma Harjo; close cousins, DeAmber Garcia and Simon, Hank and Crystal Harjo, Brandon and Stacey Harjo, Susan and Chris Gomez, Patrick and Lindsey Harjo, Brian Harjo, Rachael Harjo, and Natalie Harjo; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother and grandfather, Pauline Francis and Carlee Lincoln "Jack" Harjo; paternal grandmother and grandfather, Anna and Tom Bounds; great grandparents, George W. Harjo and Cora (Davis) Harjo; and three uncles, Jackie and Jerry Bounds, and Jeffrey Harjo.
Peggy Bowen
Peggy Ann Smith Bowen, beloved mother, grandmother, artist and lifelong rancher, died Jan. 14, 2015 in Tulsa after a brief illness. The Burbank, Oklahoma, resident, known to many friends as "Miss Peggy of the prairie, " was 76.
A native of Seminole, Okla., she was born on Feb. 9, 1938 to Raymond Lee and Florence Ann (Ware) Smith.
After graduating from Shidler High School, she attended North Oklahoma College in Tonkawa on a music scholarship.
In 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, James Henry "Jim" Bowen Jr. of Burbank, in a military wedding in Mannheim, Germany, where Jim was stationed.
Peggy traveled by ship to Germany for the wedding, and the couple lived there until Jim’s honorable discharge from the service.
Upon returning to Burbank, they settled into the newly built house where they would spend the rest of their lives.
They raised two daughters, operated their ranch and shared many family adventures until Jim’s death in 1987.
Peggy ran the ranch for nearly three more decades, and often spoke of the importance of farming and ranching to feeding the world.
She brought to her work a keen concern for the environment and a love for animals.
When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed fishing, playing piano and singing, painting, cooking, sewing, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren.
She was known in the community as someone who cared for others.
Although she did not talk about it, family members learned over time that she regularly took food and provided help to vulnerable people in the area, especially the elderly.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter, Sheryl Ann Bowen; and brothers Ronnie Lee Smith and Jerry Don Smith. She is survived by daughters Jama Leigh Bowen (Timothy E. Tanton) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Cathy Lynn Bowen of Burbank; grandchildren Jamie Lynn Dunning of Denver, Colorado, Michael Scott Dunning of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Rhys Anjou Bowen-Tanton of Nashville; brother Phillip Gene Smith, of Seminole; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015 at Albright United Methodist Church, 128 South Palm St. in Ponca City. Rev. Scott Spencer officiated.
Burial followed in the Burbank Cemetery of Burbank, Okla.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Grace Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ponca City.
