EUFAULA — Services for Billy Gene Flowers, 78, Eufaula, are 10 a.m. Monday at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel, Eufaula, the Rev. John Basden officiating. Burial follows at Drake Cemetery, Drake, with military honors.
Mr. Flowers died July 14, 2005, at Tulsa. He was born to William Edward Flowers and Mamie Crider at Clemscott. He was raised in Drake, moving to Oklahoma City at the age of 12. He joined the Army after high school where he served as a cook in Tokyo.
He later worked for Halliburton Oil Company, Oklahoma Vending Company, and owned Big Red’s Heat & Air Company, Oklahoma City. He also worked for Western Company of North America, Ada, which took him to Spain and Algeria. He retired from there in 1989.
Mr. Flowers was a member of the South Bend Church of Christ, Oklahoma City, was a Mason, and later a member of the Eufaula Veteran of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Kent Douglas Flowers.
Survivors include his wife, Lenora “Sam” Flowers, Eufaula; one son, Billy G. “Bud” Flowers, Eufaula; one daughter, Sammie Dyan Flowers, Eufaula; five stepsons, Jeff Lynch, Spencer, Kevin Lynch, Ada, Matt Lynch and wife Leesa, Norman, Patrick Lynch and J.J. Lynch, Calif.; one brother, Edwin Ray Flowers and wife Lorene, Eufaula; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Brown died July 12, 2005, at Coalgate. She was born July 18, 1919 at Brewer, to James Clarence and Lillian Bell Hendley Turner. She graduated from Olney School in 1938. She married Arthur Gardner Brown March 23, 1938, at Coalgate. He died in October of 1993. Mrs. Brown retired in July of 1982 from Wrangler, Coalgate, and was also a homemaker. She was a member of Clarita Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Judy Brown; one brother, Dwight Turner; and her parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay Gwinn and husband Dave, Olney, and Marilyn McDaniel and husband Jim, Ada; two granddaughters, Valinda Aumiller and husband Mark, Coalgate, and Kim Hildebrand and husband Greg, Norman; one grandson, Jim McDaniel, San Diego, Calif.; one brother, Dwayne Turner and wife Jean, Fitzhugh; six great-grandchildren, Brittany Releford, Madison McDaniel, Kacie Gwinn, Gavin Hildebrand, Liberty Aumiller and Triston Aumiller; one step-grandson, Jordan Aumiller; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Prentice died July 13, 2005, at Bokchito. She was born Feb. 6, 1924, at Filmore, to George Albert Brashier and Estie Helms Brashier.
She attended school in a covered wagon, began her teaching career at the age of 19 and continued teaching until she retired at the age of 63. She was a member of the Oklahoma Retired Educators Association, a member of the Bokchito Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was a member of the Caddo First Baptist Church, where she also taught a ladies Bible class.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Halla Dutton; and one brother, Montana “Corky” Brashier.
Survivors include one sister, Marcell Pool and husband Dave, Stonewall; one sister-in-law, Lilian Brashier, Ada; two sons, Walter Prentice and wife Leslie, Bokchito, and Russell Prentice and wife Ann, Caddo; five grandchildren, Melisse Prentice, Durant, David Prentice, Ithaca, N.Y., Amy Prentice, Caddo, Katheryn Prentice and Kaityln Prentice, both of Bokchito; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Bearers are Tom Jones, Clint Jones, Gary Jones, Arvil Milligan, Richard McIntire and Don Singleton.

Mr. Looney died July 9, 2005, at his home. He was born Feb. 11, 1964, at Ada to Austin and Jean Horton Looney. He graduated from Ada High School. He was a carpenter and mechanic, a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his mother, Jean Looney, Ada; three sisters, his twin sister, Vicki Looney, Ada Lisa Guinn and husband Mike, all of Ada, and Sherri Soward and husband Mickey; one brother, Ricky Looney and wife Carrie, Ada; three nieces; one nephew; and numerous other friends and relatives.
