Janice Lea Cooper, 64, former Seminole resident died, Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 in Oklahoma City.
Janice was born May 23, 1950 in Oklahoma City to Betty Jean (Longacre) and Hubert Clifford Aldridge.
Janice was an electrical mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base and retired in 2010.
She had recently moved to Oklahoma City three years ago to be near her daughter.
Janice attended the Church of Christ at Little, and was a graduate of Strother High School in 1968.
She is survived by her Mother, Betty Aldridge of Seminole, Okla., her daughter Mynista Cooper of Oklahoma City, one brother Rusty Aldridge of Seminole, Okla. and a sister Sandy Bass of Seminole, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her Father, her husband, James Cooper in 2002, and a son, Lance Cooper in 1987.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Aldridge officiating.
Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Okla. is in Charge of arrangements.
Sally Cossey
Sally Malinda Drew Cossey left this life to join her beloved husband Joe in Heaven on April 7th, 2015.
She was an Oklahoma native, born on Feb. 8th, 1949.
Malinda grew up in Wewoka, graduated and also taught at Wewoka High School and obtained her Master's degree from the University of Oklahoma.
She loved her family, her students, her fellow teachers and her schools in Fairview and Brentwood, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Larry Joe Cossey; father, Frank Drew; mother, Bonnie Coley Drew; sisters, Joyce Ann Brown and Jackie Argo and brother, Keith Brown.
She is survived by niece Johnita and her husband Dr. Steve Walker, nephew Fred and wife Wendy Argo, sister-in-law Janis and Randall Brooks, great nephew Dr. Chris and Kathryn Walker, great niece Katherine Malinda and husband James Keesee, great nephew Aaron and Tori Argo, great nephew Brandon and wife Katy Benton, great nephew Tyler Benton, Denson and Jacy Cable, granddaughters, Bren, Sunnie and Hope Cable, great great niece and nephews Jackson, Ryan, Coley and Emma, special friends Lyndel and Cindy East as well as a host of friends and relatives.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Home Missionary Baptist in Wewoka.
Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka, Okla.
A viewing is also planned for Friday, April 10th in Dickson, Tenn., as arranged by Taylor Funeral Home.
James Cox
James C. Cox age 80 of Wewoka, went to be with His Lord and Savior Thursday, Jan. 29th, 2015 at Solara Hospital Shawnee.
Born January 25th, 1935 in Wewoka, Okla. to the late Carl Cox and Mabel (Harris) Cox.
Jimmy was a graduate of Wewoka High School in 1953 and General Motors Institute in Flint, Mich.
He operated Cox Oldsmobile along with his father for a number of years.
On March 31, 1955 he married Shirley Spears in Wewoka, Okla.
He was a member of Church of Christ, Wewoka, Okla.
Preceding Jimmy in death are his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Shirley Cox, two sons: Keith Cox, Mark Cox, two brothers Johnny and Joe Cox, one sister Jane Buchanon, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at Wewoka Church of Christ and burial at Oakwood Cemetery.
Officiating will be Harold Kimrey, and Bud Ross.
The family will greet family and friends Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Chris, Clint, Trent, Jason, Stephen, Keith, and Mark.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Max Smith, Kayle Smith, Rip Rippitoe, Mark Holley, Dennis Phillips, Phillip McDonald, and Don Posey.

Dennis Cranford
Dennis Kent Cranford, 61 year old Maud resident passed from this life on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He was born Sept. 1, 1953 to parents Harold A. Cranford and to Velna V. (Winters) Cranford in Ada, Okla.
Dennis was a lifelong Maud area resident who graduated from Earlsboro High School in 1970.
Dennis also earned a two year degree attending college.
Dennis also served in the United States Navy where he earned the National Defense Service Medal.
In 1971, Dennis married Janet M. Birks in Gainesville, Tex.
Dennis has worked as a utility specialist for the past 21 years for Exxon Mobil Company in Shawnee, Okla.
Dennis leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 44 years, Janet Cranford of the home; one daughter, Kimberly Elmore and her husband Mike of Bethel, Okla; one brother, Mike Cranford of Alaska; two grandsons, Jacob Cranford, and Josh Cranford; and a host of other family and dear friends.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Velna Cranford; one brother-in-law, James Birks; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Okla.
Donald Cumpton
Donald (Donnie) Wayne Cumpton passed from this life on Jan. 9 2015.
He was born July 30, 1961 to Reta Davidson and John Cumpton, and was a life time resident of Seminole.
Donnie was a self-employed mechanic who loved to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Reta and Doyle Davidson; father, John Cumpton; daughter and son-in-law Dacia and Chris Bruce; daughter Amanda Cumpton; three cherished grandsons who were his pride and joy, Evan and Syler Bruce and Cason Cumpton; sister Rachel Conway; sister and brother-in-law, Christy and Shannon Babb; brother, Clay Cumpton, nephews, Zac Conway and Blake Babb; Brother and sister-in-law Gary and Beth Davidson and Kevin and Rhnda Davidson; sister and brother-in-law, Devra and Ryan Liebswanger; and brother, Randell Davidson.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman and Ima Nunnelley and Arnold and Florence Cumpton.

Philip Deere
Phillip " JD" Deere was born on November 26, 1947 to the late Frances and James Deere in Claremore, Okla.
He went to be with the Creator on Jan. 20, 2015 at the age of 67 at his home in Norman, Okla. surrounded by his family.
J.D. worked as a truck driver for 5 years, then went to GM in Oklahoma City where he worked till he retired after 20 years.
His hobbies included watching OU sports, playing pool and spending time with his family, and friends, eating traditional meals, joking and teasing around with his nephews.
He enjoyed playing basketball and softball.
He attended Butner Public School before attending Chilocco Indian School where he graduated in 1966.
Survivors included his daughters Phyllis Deere and Brett Summitt of Moore, Okla., Terri Deere and Chris "Buck" Randall of Okemah, Okla, a special friend Donna Thrash of 10 years; five grandchildren Kelcie and Mariah Deere, Erica Summitt, John and Makriya Randall; two sisters Alice Deere Mack of Cromwell, Emma Jean Bowles of Warren Robin, Ga., one brother James Deere Jr. of Little Kansas, Okla; four nephews that he cherished T.J. " Hopiye" Mack, Felix Mack, Kevin Mack, Darrin Mack and one special nephew Jumbo Tiger; one niece Josie Fields; a host of great nieces, nephews, two uncles, one aunt and a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceding J.D. in death are his parents, one grandson Kaden Deere-Thomas, one niece Meleah Mack, and one great niece Cameron West.
Wake service will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 at the Mack residence.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 at the Cromwell Indian Community Center and the final resting place will be at the Mack-Bell Family Cemetery.
The body will be taken to the home Thursday at 3:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. Saturday to the Indian Community Center.
Pall Bearers will be Donald Hale, Jasper Hale, Willie Hale, Sonny Mack, Rylan Mack, Devin Mack, and Ryan Mack.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Fish Pond Tribal Members, Clarence "Bolo" Johnson, Mitchell Cypress and Don Stephens

Clarence Wayne Dill, age 75, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 in Tulsa, Okla.
Services will be Friday, Feb. 13th at 2pm at Tulsa International Church of Christ.
Graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Floral Haven Cemetery.
Viewing will be all day Thursday at Floral Haven funeral home.
Clarence Dill
Clarence Wayne Dill, 75, of Tulsa, Okla. and formerly of Seminole, Okla. died Feb.9, 2015 with his family at his side.
He was born Aug. 13, 1939 in Seminole, Okla. to Alta and Earl Dill, Sr. He graduated from Seminole High School and received his Masters of Education from the University of Oklahoma.
He continued his graduate studies in engineering at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and the University of Tulsa.
He was a Licensed Professional Engineer in the aviation industry for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Dill, and three children, Thomas Sanders, Sheila Vogann, and Staci Whitaker, all of Tulsa.
He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Galpin, and brother, Earl Dill, Jr., and his grandson, Charlie Vogann.
Clarence will best be remembered as a man passionate about education and for his generous spirit.
His desire was to help others to be successful in life by sharing his knowledge or his resources freely.
He also had a love for animals, collecting books and antique radios, and studying history and family genealogy.
Services will be Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at 2pm and the Tulsa International Church, 5880 S 129th E Ave. Graveside services will follow at Floral Haven Cemetery.
Visitation will be held throughout the day on Thursday at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
