Doyle Ray McCracken, 81, Maud resident, died, Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 in Maud, Okla.
Doyle was born Dec. 24, 1933 in Oklahoma City to Lena (Ruth) and Floyd Hamilton McCracken.
Doyle came to the Seminole and Maud area 35 years ago from Meeker, Okla.
Mr. McCracken was a minister and a bricklayer during his working years.
Doyle married Mildred "Sue" Cripps on Oct. 14, 1958 in Durant, Okla.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mildred "Sue" McCracken of the home in Maud, Okla.; five sons, Terry Lee McCracken and his wife Terry of Maud, Daniel McCracken and his wife Kandi of Tecumseh, Okla., Johnnie McCracken and his wife Shelia of Konawa, Okla., Barry and Shannon McCracken of Maud, Okla., Samuel McCracken and his wife Cathy of Fittstown, Okla., his two daughters, Sandra Harris and her husband Glenn of St. Louis, Okla. and Sheila Myers of Anderson, Calif., his grandchildren, Brad and Ginger Harris of Muse, Okla., Terry Jr. and Kellie McCracken of Okmulgee, Okla., Sonya and Chad Fekin of Tecumseh, Okla., Bobby and Jill McCracken of Paden, Okla., Josh McCracken of Wewoka, Okla., Tisha Messinger of Holdenville, Okla., Christopher McCracken of Norman, Okla., Dale Lynn McCracken of Ark., Laken and James Tinkler of Wetumka, Okla., Malachi McCracken of Midwest City, Okla., Heaven McCracken of Maud, Okla., Misty Templeman of Meeker, Okla., Johnathan and Victoria McCracken of Shawnee, Okla., Terry Wayne McCracken of Maud, Okla., Destiny McCracken of Tracy, Calif. Blake McCracken of Shawnee, Okla., Dustin Harris, Riley McCracken and Austin McCracken all of Fittstown, Okla.; his great grandchildren, Nicole Fekin and Thaddus Fekin of Tecumseh, Okla., Keyda Harris and Breana Harris, of Muse, Okla., Aden Tinkler and Aaron Tinkler both of Wetumka, Okla., Ethan Templeman and Tyler Templeman both of Meeker, Okla., Bentley McCracken and Aubree McCracken both of Shawnee, Okla., McKenzie McCracken of Maud, Okla., Kayla Jo McCracken of Okmulgee, Okla., Mercy McCracken and Rylan McCracken both of Paden, Okla. and a very special loved one Sherry McCracken, Rev. Larry Beach who stood by the family during Mr. McCracken’s illness and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Roger McCracken, seven sisters and five brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at the Cummings Cemetery west of Maud, Okla. with Chaplain Earl Hood officiating.
Visitation is at the Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home at 110 N. Broadway, Maud, Okla.
Funeral services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma.

Joan McGill
Joan Condulle McGill, a resident of Seminole county for the past 50 years, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at her home in Maud, Okla. at the age of 81.
Joan was born Dec. 13, 1933 in Wewoka, Okla. to parents, Thomas Condulle and Addie (Long) Harjo.
After graduating from high school she attended Seminole State College and was a member of the Achena Presbyterian Church.
Joan retired in 1995 after 35 years working in the Civil Service with 23 of those years working at the Shawnee Indian Health Clinic.
She married Walter J. McGill who preceded her in death in 1978.
Joan is survived by two sons, Thomas G. McGill, Royce J. McGill both of Maud, Okla.; one daughter, Windy McGill-Cox of Maud, Okla.; one brother, Claude Condulle his wife Maxcine of Okla. City, Okla.
She is also survived by five grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Addie Harjo and Thomas Condulle and brother, Osceola Condulle.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Achena Presbyterian Church, southeast of Maud, Okla.
Elder Rick Harjo, Elker Frank Sewell and Elder Marion Jones will officiate the service.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Okla.
Roland McGirt
Roland McGirt II died on Feb. 9, 2015, at Hughley Hospital due to a long illness.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1977, in Wewoka, Okla.
Wake services will be held Monday, Feb. 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, at Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church in Wewoka, Okla. Burial will follow at McGirt Cemetery in Sasakwa, Okla.
Survivors include Roland’s parents, Roland and Cinda McGirt; his sister, Shannon Cully; and two brothers, Jonathan McGirt and James McGirt, all of Glen Rose; three nieces; three nephews; one great-nephew;two aunts; four uncles; and a host of cousins and friends.
Verda McWethy
Verda Mae (Adams) McWethy, age 79 and a resident of Konawa, Okla., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel of Konawa.
Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery, and Don Stanberry will officiate.
Pallbearers are Robbie McWethy, Tim McWethy, Chris McWethy, Travis Stanberry, Amos Sipes, and Troy Stanberry.
Honorary pallbearers are Austin Sipes, Trent Stanberry, and Brandon McWethy.
Verda was born on March 19, 1935 in Marked Tree, Ark. to Shelby Adams and Susie Bernice (Beck) Adams.
She married Jewel McWethy on March 5, 1955 in California, and she was a machine operator for Solo Cup Industry in Ada.
She is survived by five sons, Ted McWethy and wife, Lena of Allen, Oklahoma, Danny McWethy of Ada, Oklahoma, James McWethy of Konawa, Okla., Ronny McWethy and wife, Julia of Muskogee, Okla., and Allan McWethy and wife, Dinah of Willow Grove, Pa.; two daughters, Debbie Barnes and husband, Jim of Roff, Okla., and Linda Sipes and husband, Doug of Holdenville, Okla.; two brothers, Shelby Adams of Calif., and Bruce Adams of Modesto, Calif.; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Shelby and Susie Adams; her husband, Jewel McWethy; and eight brothers and sisters.
Carol Merwin
Carol Marie Merwin was born Jan. 17, 1967 in Jacksonville, Ill. to Glenda Sue and Robbie Lee Lytle.
She passed away Nov. 24, 2014 at Oklahoma City, Okla. at the age of 47 years.
Carol grew up in Cheyenne and also lived a short time in Wewoka.
She moved back to Cheyenne in 1986 and married Bill Merwin in 1987.
She completed nursing school in 1998 and worked several years as an LPN in and around Elk City.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her two sons, Joshua Merwin of Burns Flat, Okla., Jacob Merwin, of Elk City, Okla.; daughter, Vanessa Bryant, of Holdenville, Okla..; two sisters, Dawn Musick, of Elk City, Okla., Barbara Burton, of Winnfield, Tex.; two brothers, Ashley Lytle, of Mt. Pleasant, Tex., Billy Binion, Oklahoma City, Okla.; three grandchildren, and her mother, Glenda Sue Lytle, of Elk City, Okla.
Private family services have already been held.
Coleena Middleton
Coleena Kay Middleton, Cromwell area resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 at her residence in Cromwell at the age of 62.
She was born April 29, 1952 in Oklahoma City to Clifford Mel Sneed and Estelle (Sandoval).
Coleena married Richard Earl "Rick" Middleton on Sept. 2, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nev.
She loved doing crafts and making jewelry.
Coleena worked as a manicurist and later as a cashier for Walmart.
She also spent time traveling over the road with husband Rick until his retirement from truck driving.
She was a proud member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Wewoka.
Coleena is survived by her husband, Rick of the home; one daughter, Rachel Dawn Berryhill of Holdenville; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Linda Cloud-Walker of Aubrey, Tex., Deborah Sneed of Oklahoma City, Anita Hulsey of Oklahoma City and Tawahnah Love of Glendale, Ariz.; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Mel Sneed and Estelle Sneed Love; one son, Uriah Berryhill, III; one sister, LaDonna Leard and one brother, Loren David Zerbel.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2104 Seran Drive, Wewoka, OK.
