Nicholas Antonio Michael Sharpehill, age 42 and a former resident of Konawa, Okla., passed away on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at St. Anthony Hospital of Oklahoma City.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date, and cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Okla.
Nicholas was born on Sept. 7, 1942 in Rock Hill, S.C., to William Sharpe and Wanda (Hill).
After graduation, Nicholas became a Certified Nursing and Medical Assistant.
He was a long-time resident of Konawa before moving to Shawnee, Okla.
Nicholas is survived by his ex-wife, Susanne Sharpehill of Konawa; his parents, William Sharpe of Shawnee, Okla. and Wanda Williamson, also of Shawnee, Okla.; and two sons, Jonathan Sharpe of Tampa, Florida, and Christian Sharpe, also of Tampa Florida.
His was preceded in death by one son, Julian Alexander Wilson.
Michael Shirley
Michael Kevin Shirley, 53, longtime Seminole resident passed away, Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 at the O.U. Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Michael was born July 12, 1961 in Placerville, Calif., to Byron R. Shirley and Loretta A. ( Curnett) Shirley.
Michael worked for many years with D & D Construction in Colo., pulling Fiber Optic Lines.
He also worked for Goff, Inc. in Seminole, Okla. for the past 9 years in the maintenance department.
Michael is survived by his wife, Diana Shirley of the home in Seminole, Okla., his children Serinady and Blaiden of the home, Jackie Shelton of Oklahoma City, and Kyle Shelton of Wewoka, Okla., his mother and step father, Loretta A. Ryan and Jackie D. Ryan of Seminole, Okla., his brother Ray C. Reed of Craig, Colo. and sister Raylene C. Reed-Buckley of Auburn, Wash..
Michael was preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. at the Swearingen Funeral Home.
A celebration of life memorial services will be planned in the near future.

David Smith
David Bradley Smith was born in Shawnee, Okla., on Aug. 20, 1945, to Don and Ora mae Smith.
He departed from this life on Jan. 28, 2015 in Norman, Okla.
He was 100 percent disabled as a result of his exposure to Agent Orange during his military service in Vietnam.
He was a resident of the Veterans’ Center in Norman, Okla. where he resided for the three years prior to his death.
David Smith attended the University of Oklahoma where he received his degree in business.
He managed his family’s real estate business in Seminole until he became too ill continue that position.
David is survived by his wife, Kathy Smith of Norman, Okla., his son, Darren Douglas Smith of Wewoka, Okla., and a brother, Don Allen Smith of Fort Smith, Ark.
He is remembered by his family and friends for his cheerful and caring personality and his enthusiasm for OU Football, the Oklahoma City Thunder professional basketball team, and the Seminole State College Trojan Baseball team for which he announced games.
A memorial service will be held at the Norman Veterans’ Center on Feb. 9, 2015, at 2:00 p.m.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations in the name of David Bradley Smith be made to the Norman Veterans’ Center, 1776 E Robinson Norman, OK 73071
James Smith
James Eugene Smith, 77 year old Seminole resident, entered eternal life on January 17, 2015 in Shawnee, Okla.
James was born on April 30, 1937 in Claremore, Okla. to Joe Harry and Opal Jean (Porter) Smith.
On Oct. 23, 1964 James married Judy Faye (Vass) in Shawnee, Okla.
James retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in 1999 after 42 years of service as a track supervisor.
Eight years ago they moved to Seminole from Haysville, Kansas.
James loved playing golf and watching golf on television after he became unable to play himself.
He also loved watching cartoons with his grandchildren, fishing, Tradio, yard sales, swap meets and Okla. University sports.
He always smiled.
James leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years, Judy; two sons, James B. Smith of Seminole, Okla. and Jay Scott Smith and wife Elizabeth of Seminole, Okla.; two sisters, Betty Hollingsworth of Seminole, Okla. and Jayne Salcido of Calif.; two grandchildren, Natalie Stone and Zane Smith as well as other dear family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Opal Smith, three brothers, Glenn Smith, Bobby Smith and Joe Dean Smith.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at the Little Cemetery chapel with burial to follow at Little Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Okla.
Letha Smith
Letha Lee Smith, Seminole resident died, Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015 at her home. Letha was born Sept. 8, 1930 in Idabel, Okla. to Martha M. Rosie (Boyd) and James Dodson Williams.
Letha was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother to all her family.
Letha had moved to the Seminole area seven years ago from Meeker, Okla., and was a member of the Jarvis Church of God.
Letha married Wiley Paul Smith on June 9, 1948 in Ft. Smith, Ark. and he preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1990.
Letha is survived by three sons Steve Smith of Johnson, Okla., John Smith of Seminole, Okla. and Harold Smith and of Skiatook, Okla., six daughters Ruth Bales of Earlsboro, Okla., Sandra Edings and of Eufaula, Okla., Brenda Scott of Livingston, Tex., Elaine Bledsoe of Sallisaw, Okla. and Regina Sexton of Kingston, Okla., twenty four grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and eighteen great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wiley Smith, sons David Smith and Lonnie Smith, grand-daughter, Sherrie Ross, Grandson Daniel Sexton, great granddaughters Kaylee Smith and Oliva Ross.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m.., Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at the Tecumseh City Cemetery in Tecumseh, Okla. Cindy Roberson will officiate at the service.
Casket bearers will be Dustin Smith, James Ross, John Smith, Steve Smith, Bradley Dehart and Jesse Totty. Honorary bearer will be Howard Davis.

Theresa Smith
Theresa Smith left this life on at the age of 93 on Monday, March 9, 2015.
Theresa Sietsema was born Jan. 2, 1922, in Alpine Township, just outside of Grand Rapids in Kent County, Michigan, to Peter Sietsema and Theresa Baker Sietsema, who both immigrated to America from The Netherlands.
Theresa is preceded in death by husband Gerald Smith. She is also preceded in death by sisters Clara Sterken, Elizabeth Theule, Esther Hamelink, and Helen Nyholt and by brothers George Sietsema and Ray Sietsema, all of the state of Mich..
She is survived by sister Marguerite Steele of Marne, Mich., and many nieces and nephews.
Theresa is survived by son Tom Smith and wife Shirlene Smith of Seminole; daughter Deanna Hamilton and husband Dan Hamilton of Seminole; son Paul Smith of McLoud; grand children Wade Smith, Janice Harjo, Shanell Smith and Kyle Smith; great grandchildren Carter Riley, Seth Harjo, Megan Harjo and Kameron Riley.
After growing up in Michigan and attending business school there, Theresa and a sister moved to and worked in San Diego, Calif.
There she met husband-to-be, Gerald Smith.
They were married on Aug. 12, 1944, in Palo Pinto County, Tex.
She moved to Seminole to work and live with his parents until he returned there from his service in the U.S. Army.
Gerald and Theresa owned and operated a steam laundry business in Seminole, then later coin-operated dry cleaning and Laundromats.
For years, they enjoyed traveling in RVs, including annual stays in Colorado.
Throughout her life, Theresa loved and appreciated many types of music.
She was an excellent cook - most everything she prepared was from 'scratch'.
After their children were grown, she delighted in weekly Bridge.
She walked routinely, even after 90 years of age.
She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole.
Theresa’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to her caregivers including Dr. Kemp, his staff, and all at Avonlea Cottage Assisted Living and Faith Hospice.
Her friendly smile will be missed by many.
Services will be held in the Historic Strothers Chapel located at Maple Grove Cemetery, 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015 with Matt Pollock officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Seminole Humane Society, P.O. Box 88, Seminole, OK 74818 or other charity would be appreciated.

Bobby Spencer
Bobby Jack Spencer, age 79 and a resident of Seminole, Okla. passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at his home.
A Wake service was held at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the family home located in Seminole, and funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.
Houston Tiger will officiate, and Bill Hobia will assist.
Burial will follow at the Ross Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jonathan Harjo, Joseph Harjo, Brian Spencer, Stephen Spencer, Josh Lena, Aaron Lena, Marshall Tiger, and Tracy Ray Lindsey.
Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Harjo, Mel Lena, Jeff Tiger, Roy Holata, and Garrett Lena.
Bobby was born on Feb.18, 1936 in Seminole, Okla. to Silas Spencer, Sr. and Lizzie (Coody) Lindsay.
He worked as a roustabout for Joe Mills for a number of years, and Bobby also worked as a custodian for Strother High School.
He married Elsie Ross.
He was a member of the GAR Creek Ceremonial Grounds, and he was a baptized member of the Wewoka Indian Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Spencer of the home; two sons, Samuel Spencer of Seminole and Roy Holata also of Seminole; four daughters, Jackie Harjo of Seminole, Eugenia Lena of Shawnee, Okla., Mariam Spencer of Seminole, and Rosemary Harjo of Wewoka, Okla.; six brothers, Edward Spencer, Silas Spencer, Jimmy Lindsey, Eugene Lindsey, Walter Lindsey, and Leroy Mitchell; one sister, Augustine Lindsey; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Leslie Spencer, Thomas Lindsey, Charles Lindsey, George Jones, Bill Spencer, Rex Spencer, and Alex Lindsey; and five sisters, Mary Ann Crain, Bertha Lindsey, Ina Mae Spencer, and Nellie Spencer.
