Donna Mae Lougeay Saello, 66, of East McKeesport, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at home. She was born March 28, 1933, in Swissvale, a daughter of the late Lillian Jones Lougeay. She was a former employee of Equibank of Pittsburgh. She is survived by her husband, Frank "Sonny" Saello; a daughter, Libby Saello, and a son, Lee Saello, both of East McKeesport; a granddaughter, Jaclyn Lee Saello; also a brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at the FORGIE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Cowan Sarver, 77, of North Versailles, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999. A son of the late Percy and Jessie (Cowan) Sarver. Beloved husband of Helen "Honey" (Kukic) Sarver. Dear father of Stephen "Slugger" (Althea) Sarver, Eugene E. "Babe" (Arlene) Sarver, Martin "Marty" (Julie) Sarver, and Nancy (Jack) Steere. Grandfather of Melissa (Raymond) Ascione and J.J. (Theodora) Sarver. Great-grandfather of Madison Louise Ascione. Brother of Percy Eugene (Gerry) Sarver and the late Mary Bevan, Grace Jones, Sylvana Polka and Bert Sarver; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, Saturday and will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until the time of service in the funeral home at noon. Mr. Sarver worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator. One of his final projects with Harrison Construction was a special project at Lakewood Country Club.

Rosina C. "Rose" Vitale, 83, of Osterburg, died at 1 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at the home of her daughter in Greensburg. Born in Jersey City, Hudson County, N.J., Monday, Feb. 28, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Erminia (Barone) Abbatiello. She was an employee and volunteer at the Old Bedford Village. She was the wife of Joseph Vitale, who preceded her in death on April 16, 1981. She is survived by her daughter, Robbie, wife of Mark Greenfield, of Greensburg; daughter, Pat, wife of Augie Festa, of Hoboken, N.J.; and sister, Kay Osnato of Fairview, N.J. She is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson and four brothers. Friends are invited to call Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LOUIS GEISEL FUNERAL HOME, 330 E. Pitt St., Bedford, where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Isabel Miller Campbell, of McCandless Township, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999. Beloved wife of Robert L. Campbell. Mother of Dr. Tricia Campbell of Keene, N.H. Mrs. Campbell was a graduate of Carnegie Tech, was a member of the Kushkushkee Trail Chapter of the DAR and the Wildwood Golf Club, and also volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels in the West View area. Nancy E. Good, 49, of Edgewood, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, in AUH-Forbes Hospice, Pittsburgh. She was born April 29, 1950, in Wilkinsburg, a daughter of Oscar T. and Vera Bossard Good of Murrysville. She was a 1968 graduate of Franklin Regional High School and attended the Pittsburgh Art Institute. She was a secretary for Alcoa for 22 years and recently a secretary for Allegheny Teledyne. She was a member of the Alcoa retirees. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Judy Kostic and her husband, Bernie, of Falls Creek, Pa.; and a nephew, Michael Kostic of New Castle. Visitation Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JOHN T. HART FUNERAL HOME, Murrysville. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in the North Point Cemetery, North Point, Pa. Anna Wagasky Kolesar, 93, of North Versailles, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, in the LGAR Home, Turtle Creek. She was born Oct. 24, 1906, in North Braddock, a daughter of the late John and Anna Hornak Wagasky. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Versailles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Kolesar; a son, John Kolesar Jr.; four brothers, John, Andrew, Michael, and George Wagasky; and a sister, Susan Martin. Survived by three daughters, Alma Fanto of Glenshaw, Vivian Fleming of Albany, Ga., and Dolores Kudravy of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, Alfred Kolesar of North Versailles and Donald Kolesar of Austin, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; also nieces and nephews. Ludwig "Lud" Bogaty, 77, of Penn Hills, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at his residence. Born July 16, 1922, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Ludwig and Mary Fliss Bogaty. He was retired from the Union Railroad, a Navy veteran of World War II, member of the Universal Moose and American Legion Post #980 in Plum. Husband of the late Margaret Bogaty. Beloved father of James C. Bogaty of Berryville, Va., Karen M. Humphrey of Flanders, N.J. and Kathy A. Bogaty of Purcellville, Va. Brother of Virginia Smith of Monroeville and Hedy Plasynski of Arnold. Grandfather of Justin J. Bogaty, Tiffany Ann Fegley, Ashley E. Bogaty and Austin J. Humphrey. CHARLES ELLSWORTH BOWERS
Charles Ellsworth Bowers, 79, of Claysville, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, in the Humbert Health Care Center, Washington, Pa. He was born April 17, 1920, in Canonsburg, a son of the late James B.N. and Pearl M. Briggs Bowers. Mr. Bowers was a member of Claysville United Methodist Church. Mr. Bowers attended Washington-area schools and Connelley Vocational School in Pittsburgh. He worked for Hazel Atlas Glass from 1937 to 1939, then in electrical maintenance for Jessop Steel from 1940 to 1950. From 1957 to 1958, he worked for the National Annealing Box Co., returning to Hazel Atlas from 1958 to 1960. He was with National Annealing Box again from 1960 until his retirement in 1981. During World War II, Mr. Bowers served in the U.S. Army, in the Headquarters Company, 26th Infantry, 3rd Battalion of the First Infantry Division, known as the "Blue Spaders, " seeing action in the European Theater. Mr. Bowers was formerly a member of the Protected Home Circle. He was a member of the Washington County Antique Bottle Club, the Three Rivers Depression Era Glass Society, the Duncan Miller Glass Society, the Imperial Glass Society, the Fostoria Glass Society and Washington Metal Detector Club. He was president of the proposed Charles N. Brady Memorial Glass Museum. On Sept. 18, 1939, in Washington, Pa., he married M. Mauveline Wheeler. Mrs. Bowers died on April 1, 1984. Mr. Bowers is survived by two sons, Charles M. Bowers and Carl W. Bowers Sr., both of Washington, Pa.; two sisters, Hazel A. Bowers Miller of Wolfdale, Pa., and Zinnetta J. Bowers Galarneau of Zephyrhills, Fla.; four grandsons, U.S. Navy Lt. Charles Emery Bowers, Kevin Andrew Bowers, Carl Wayne Bowers Jr. and Matthew Scott Bowers. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Ellsworth Bowers, who died in infancy; a brother, James E. Bowers; and a sister, Thais V. Bowers Barley. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the PIATT & BARNHILL FUNERAL HOME, 420 Locust Ave., Washington, Pa., where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Meyer officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
GILBERT C. MARKLE
Gilbert C. "Gil" Markle, 58, of Marina, Calif., died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, in Fresno, Calif., as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in McKeesport, Aug. 6, 1941, a son of the late Clarence F. and Catherine Lash Markle. He was raised in West Newton and graduated from West Newton High School. He received his bachelor's degree in horticulture from Penn State University and graduated from Officer's Candidate School in Newport, R.I. He had attended the Naval Justice School and American University in Washington, D.C. He was operations manager for Harris Moran Seed Co., Salinas Pelleting Facility. He served with the Navy ROTC from 1960 to 1962 and with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam from 1965 to 1968. Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Peg" Jones Markle; three daughters, Tracey Ballard of Louisville, Ky., Jennifer Dickinson of Owensboro, Ky., and Betsy Pittman of Salinas, Calif.; a brother, James C. Markle of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a sister, Margaretta Branthoover of Fairport Harbor, Ohio; and three grandchildren. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon, the time of funeral services. Interment will follow in Rehoboth Cemetery.
