Francis J. "Frank" Hrubes, 87, of Bovard, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at his home. He was born Sept. 17, 1912, in Hannastown, a son of the late Vaclav and Maria Dohnal Hrubes. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh Plant. He was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church, Bovard, and a life member of the Bovard Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie B. Zyvith Hrubes, on Aug. 29, 1990; a granddaughter, Deneen Dupilka; two sisters, Julia A. Olshefsky and Mary C. Olshefski; and a brother, Vincent Hrubes. He is survived by a son, Frank J. Hrubes of Bovard; three daughters, Mrs. James (Helen) Carasia of New Alexandria, Mrs. Michael (Mary Ellen) Dupilka Jr. and Mrs. Roger (Juliana) Soles Sr., all of Bovard; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Hrubes of Bovard; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Bede Catholic Church, Bovard, with the Rev. Brinstan G. Takach, O.S.B., as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township.

Grace Louise (Deeley) Mazzei, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., widow of the late state Sen. Frank Mazzei. Survived by a daughter, Eileen and her husband, Jack Muse; a granddaughter, Cheryl; a great-granddaughter, Chelsea; a brother, Richard Deeley of Latrobe; and many nieces and nephews. Anthony "Tony" Petrocelli, 67, of Monroeville, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000. Beloved husband of Edith (Barbor) Petrocelli. Dear brother of Renzie "Randy" Petrocelli Viggiano-Veri. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Petrocelli was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rose (Berardi) Petrocelli; and brothers, Dale and Paul Petrocelli. Friends will be received at the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, THURSDAY ONLY from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Services and entombment will be private on Friday. Mr. Petrocelli was a music teacher at the former Westinghouse Memorial High School and former Turtle Creek school district. He was associated with Progressive Music and Monroeville Music.
DAVID J. RENNIE
David J. Rennie, of New Castle, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, in Jameson Memorial Hospital. He was employed by Kennametal Inc., Latrobe, from 1966 to 1985, retiring as director, advertising and public relations. Mr. Rennie is survived by his wife, Kay Brooks Rennie; his son, Scott Rennie and his wife, Crystal, of New Castle; his daughter, Suzan Rennie Stoddard and her husband, Peter; his grandchildren, Benjamin and Hannah Stoddard, all of Henderson, Nev.; his sister, Roberta Lash of Finleyville; and his niece, Cindi Lash of Mt. Lebanon. There will be no memorial service, and interment
is private.

Richard J. Ritter, of Brentwood, on Monday, Jan. 17, 2000. Husband of the late Margaret (Shiring) Ritter. Father of Richard T., Joseph H., Michael J., James, Thomas, Martin, Kathleen Sherman, Sue Ann Nowicki, Therese Saunders and Patricia Fewell. Also survived by 23 grandchildren. MILLIE LETTRICH
Millie Lettrich, 85, of Charleroi, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, in the IHS of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. She was born Aug. 21, 1914, in Fallowfield Township, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Veres. Mrs. Lettrich was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and the B.P.W. Club, both of Charleroi. She worked very closely with her husband in the family business, Joseph Lettrich & Sons, for more than 55 years. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald and Sondra Lettrich of Greensburg, and Robert Lettrich of Charleroi; three brothers, Milan Veres and Paul Veres, both of Charleroi, and Edward Veres of Big Flats, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Donald, David, Michael, and Stephen Lettrich; and a great-granddaughter, Kasey Lettrich. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lettrich, on April 10, 1996; and a sister, Mary Surovchak. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Christ Lutheran Church, Sixth and Washington Avenue, Charleroi, with Pastor James Robbins officiating. EVA S. McLEISTER
Eva S. McLeister, of New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, died at her residence Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000. She and her husband, the Rev. Dr. John W. McLeister, served many parishes in western Pennsylvania, the last being Oakmont United Methodist Church. She graduated from Berea College, where she became active in the alumni association. She did graduate work at Boston College. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. She worked with migrant workers and also worked with the underprivileged children in Cincinnati, Ohio. She retired from Seneca Valley School District in 1997, where she taught school for 23 years at Haines Elementary. She was a founder of the Cranberry Library, was a volunteer for Family Resources in Pittsburgh and served with United Methodist Women. Also, she loved to write and enjoyed traveling. She is survived by a son, Paul M. (Laurie) McLeister of Allison Park; daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Robin) Hoehn of Falls Church, Va., and Mrs. Michael (Lisa) Clark of Hunt Valley, Md.; a brother, Edwin B. Smith; and a sister, Carolyn Brown; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth McLeister Monroe; and grandsons, John and Sam Hoehn. She was preceded in death by two brothers; her parents; and her husband of nearly 40 years, who died Jan 20, 1999. Friends will be received at the GLENN-KILDOO CRANBERRY CHAPEL, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. A memorial service will be conducted at Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry Township Saturday at 2 p.m. with Dr. Donald Scandrol officiating. KATHERINE WYSZOMIERSKI
Katherine Wyszomierski, 81, of Ross Township, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, in Pristine Pines Nursing Home, Franklin Park. She was born May 23, 1918, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Peter and Catherine Proch Kowal. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church, Ross Township. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wyszomierski, in 1998; two sisters, Ann Ponsot and Helen Klasnick; and four brothers, Stephen, Joseph, Michael and Edward Kowal. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara A. Ackel of Riverside, Calif.; four sons, Raymond M. Wize of McCandless, Thomas J. Wize of San Jose, Calif., Robert S. Wize and Mark Wize, both of McCandless; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Mary Frisch of McCandless, Rose Streyle and Irene Koslowski, both of the South Side, Dorothy Kock of New Mexico and Gloria Brody of South Hills. Friends are being received Friday from 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME INC., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township. EDWARD JOHN BUSCH
Edward John Busch, surrounded by family at his daughter's home in Boca Raton, Fla., died peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000. He was 90 years old at the time of his death. Mr. Busch graduated from Penn State University with a degree in horticulture and immediately went to work in the family business, Busch Nurseries in Pittsburgh. He left Busch Nurseries and founded Standard Air and Light Co. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy after Pearl Harbor with a commission of lieutenant (jg). Ed was an armed guard officer on an ammunition ship in command of 27 naval personnel. He met his wife of 57 years, Lucille, while still in the Navy and married her during a leave on Christmas Day, 1943. Ed and Lucille returned to Pittsburgh, where he opened Busch Company in 1950. As the owner of the Busch Company, Ed expanded his company in the Pittsburgh area for 30 years. Busch Company continues to serve the commercial, industrial, waste and water treatment and process equipment industries. As a supplier of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems equipment, Busch Company expanded into precision engineered products and systems for improving the environment. Today it serves markets throughout the northeastern United States and the world. Ed and Lucille retired to Florida, purchasing a house in Pompano Beach where he pursued his major interest and hobby, gardening. He served on the Pompano Beach Appearance Committee and as president of the Fort Lauderdale Men's Garden Club. A three- year resident of John Knox Village in Pompano Beach, Fla., he was known as "the rose man" because he donated time and money for a rose garden boasting more than 300 rose bushes, so fresh that the roses can be delivered daily to the patio dining room and the nursing center. Ed is survived by his sister, Mary Martha Henderson of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Fritz Nordmann of Boca Raton, Fla.; and a son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Edward J. Busch Jr. and Diana Busch, and Andrew Edward Busch of Anchorage, Alaska. Ed also has numerous nephews and nieces, and countless friends in Pittsburgh, Pompano Beach, and John Knox Village. Ed will be cremated and his ashes placed at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pompano Beach. No memorial service is planned at this time. Donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy, 4245 N.
