She was born in Sharpsville, Pa, on June 28, 1921, a daughter of the late Harry and Fern (Fryar) Myers.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, John Dickey and Robert McKittrick.
Mrs. McKittrick retired in June 1986 from the RT Lewis Co. where she had been a secretary.
She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of OES #439 Coraopolis.
She was a member of the Coraopolis United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Weaver of Hatfield, Pa.; her three grandchildren, Kim, Dana and John; two sisters, Betty Blose, Sharpsville, Pa., and Leta Myers, Moon Township; two brothers, Harry Myers of Sharpsville, Pa., and Virgil Myers, Arcanum, Ohio; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was private. Internment was held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Sharon, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to OES Lodge, #439 in care of Cordaine Mitchell, 118 N. Virco Dr., McKees Rocks, Pa. 15136.
Arrangements were made by Copeland's Coraopolis Funeral Home.
Randy Romine, 44, of Georgetown, died suddenly Oct. 7, 2000 in the emergency room of The Medical Center, Beaver.
He was born on June 16, 1956 in Pittsburgh to the late Claude and Lorraine McKinney Romine. He worked for the C&C Marina of Georgetown as a river boat pilot.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude and Ronnie Romine.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Neal Romine; his children, Lake Romine, Jade Romine and Brooklyn Romine, all at home, and Jesse Romine; a sister, Beth Romine; and his in-laws, Frank and Donna Neal of Clinton.
Friends were received at the Moody Funeral Home, Route 30, Clinton, where services were held. The Rev. Ted Chapman of the Clinton Weslyan Church officiated. Internment followed in the Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.
Elizabeth (Bell) Smith, 89, a Coraopolis resident most of her life, died on Oct. 2, 2000 at Mariner Health Care Center, West Hills,
She was born in McCormick, S.C. on May 10, 1911, a daughter of the late Archie and Estella (Romey) Bell.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Smith, and by a step-daughter, Vivian Watkins.
A graduate of New Castle High School, she was a member of St. Paul AME Zion Church, Coraopolis, where she was a former choir member and member of Mrs. Green's Bible Study Group, Progressive Group and Christian Women United.
She is survived by her two children, Juanita Bland of Coraopolis and William Dickerson of North Side Pittsburgh; three step-children, Leila Greer of Coraopolis, Eloise Dudley of Harrisburg, and Grant Smith of Beaver Falls.
Also by three sisters, Edith Carlson of Buffalo, N.Y., Lena Jones of Youngstown, Ohio, and Samantha Miller of Sharon, Pa.; a brother, Henry Bell of Philadelphia, Pa, ; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends were received at Copeland's Coraopolis Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis.
Funeral services were held in Whosoever Wills Christian & Missionary Alliance.
The Rev. Robert Brown officiated.
Burial followed in Sewickley Cemetery.
Patsy Vescio, Jr. 59, a life-long resident of Moon Township., died suddenly on Tuesday, October 10, in Sewickley Valley Hospital.
He was born in Sewickley PA, on Nov. 29, 1940.
Mr. Vescio was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church.
He was employed for 12 years with Michael Baker, Inc as an electrical engineer.
Mr. Vescio designed the lighting for both the Pittsburgh and Dulles International Airports, and also oversaw all of their installation.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia (Paladina) Vescio; his mother, Mary Vescio of Sewickley; his loving children, Stephen P. Vescio and his wife Jennifer of Fairhaven Mass., Michael J. Vescio and his fiancee Lisa of Moon, Matthew Paladina of Moon Township; his sister, Mary Jane Ferrer of Ambridge; his three brothers, Frank J. Vescio of Center Township, Louis O Vescio of Virginia Beach, and William Vescio of Sewickley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Patsy Vescio, Sr. and his brother Robert Vescio.
Friends were received at Copeland's Moon Township Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass was held in St. Margaret Mary Church on with father John Ayoob officiating.
Burial followed in St. James Cemetery in Sewickley.
Harold Francis Vith, 77, a life-long resident of McKees Rocks, died Oct. 6, 2000 in St. John's Lutheran Care Center.
He was born on May 27, 1923 in Etna to the late Maximillian and Margaret (Kosher) Vith.
Mr. Vith was a supervisor for Neville Chemical for 35 years, retiring in 1987.
He was a member of the Coraopolis United Methodist Church and was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII.
He was a sergeant and the recipient of the EAME Ribbon with four bronze battle stars, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal and AM Theater Ribbon.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ethel (Swoger) Vith; four children-Harold Vith, Jr. of Lyden Texas, Robert Vith of Coraopolis, William Vith of Springfield, Ohio, and Rosemarie Koehler of Cranberry Township.
Also by six sisters, Margaret Cohouer of Pompano Beach, Fla., Maxine Kandrick of Grand Island, Fla., Mary Jane Taucher of Crafton, Marlene Hawk of McKees Rocks, Shirley Gallup of Coppers Cove, Texas and Charlotte McGouldrich of Kennedy Township; and one brother, Maximillian Vith of Kennedy Township.
He also is survived by 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death in his brother, Edward Vith.
Visitation was held at Copeland's Coraopolis Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis, where funeral services were held.
The Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Sterling officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Mary White, 96, of Shadyside, formerly of Coraopolis, died Oct. 6, 2000 in Hartland Health Care Center,
She was born July 29, 1904 in Hanover, Pa. a daughter of the late William and Ida (Littell) White.
Mrs. White is survived by her three children: Richard and his wife Kathleen White of Ben Avon; Agnes White of Pittsburgh; and Howard and Marion Barkfelt of Cleveland, Ohio. She also is survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was private. A memorial service was held later. Burial was private in Coraopolis Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Copeland's Coraopolis Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis.
Catherine "Katie" Capisino, 94, a resident of Hopewell Township for 24 years and formerly a resident of Coraopolis for 70 years, died Sept. 17, 2000 in Sewickley Valley Hospital.
She was born in Coraopolis on Aug. 31, 1906.
Mrs. Capisino was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Coraopolis.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary L. Wilkins of Hopewell, and Annette and her husband Dino Fiumare of Hopewell; her son, Frank and his wife Marge Capisino of Coraopolis; her sister, Jenny Thomas of Hopewell; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two great, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at Copeland's Coraopolis Funeral Home. Mass was held in St. Joseph Church with the Rev. Malcolm McDonald officiating. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Moon Township.
Viola Crowe, 80, a life-long resident of Neville Island, died Sept 23, 2000 in Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 12, 1919 in Chartiers, Pa, a daughter of the late Marlon and Eva (White) Cain.
She was a homemaker and member of the Neville Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Crowe is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Crowe of Neville; children Judy and her husband Carmen Sposaro of Hamilton, Ga., Jan and her husband Bob Fenimore of Moon Township, Dale and his wife Stephanie Crowe of Elizabeth Town, Ken.; Margie and her husband Jeff McElhaney of Clinton; Tim Crowe of Neville; Sherri and her husband Dennis Henderson of Clinton, and Lori Homol of Oakdale; and a sister, June Wyke of North Boro, Mass.; and 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held at Copeland's Coraopolis Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Ave. Services were held in Neville Island Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard Anderson. Burial was in Coraopolis Cemetery.
Francis Richard Dalesky, 72, former Kennedy Township police sergeant, died Sept. 4 in Conway, S.C.
A graduate of Braddock High School and the Allegheny County Police Academy, he was a 28-year veteran of the Kennedy Township Police Department and an NRA certified handgun instructor.
Sgt. Dalesky is survived by his wife, Jeanne Goff; son, David Grant of Conway; daughter, Dorette Frances Grasinger, and her husband, John; and grandchildren, Daniel Francis and Laura Ann, of Delmont, Pa.
A memorial Mass was celebrated at St. John Baptist de la Salle Church, Delmont, Pa. with the Rev. McGuirk officiating.
Doris Griffith, 73, of Neville Island, died Sept. 19, 2000.
She was born May 30, 1927 in Maryland, a daughter of the late Marie Wolfe and the late Richard Griffith.
She was retired from Dravo Corp. with 48 years of service; was membership chairman of the Dravo Seniors Organization; and was a 1944 graduate of Neville Township High School. She is survived by the Gilberti family, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
Friends were received at Copeland's Coraopolis Funeral Home, where services were held with the Rev. Russell Turner officiating. Burial was private in Sylvania Hills.
