JOHN T. SOLOMON
John T. Solomon, 75, of Hoffman Heights, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at home. He was born March 22, 1924, in Mammoth, a son of the late Charles and Anne (Lawrence) Solomon. He was a retired coal miner having worked for Consolidated Coal Co. at Harmarville. John was a member of the St. John Baptist de la Salle Church of Delmont; a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II; and a member of the VFW and the Hilltop Golf League. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marguerite (Kaufman); two brothers, William and Joseph Solomon; and a sister, Mary Szymanski. John is survived by his wife, Flora Mae "Philly" (Testa) Solomon; two sons, John Solomon and wife, Nikki, of Athens, Ga., and Tom Solomon and wife, Nancy, of Hannastown; three daughters, Cheryl Barb and husband, Michael, and Amy Shields, both of Merrimack, N.H., and Leslee Solomon of Springfield, Mo.; two stepsons, Eugene "Dusty" Krinock and wife, Elaine, of Greensburg and James Krinock at home; a brother, Francis Solomon and wife, Pat, of Gibsonia; a sister, Margaret Lukac of Cheswick; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving family and friends at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC. AT TWIN VALLEY, 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, (724) 468-1177, beginning Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. John's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. John Baptist de la Salle Church, Delmont, with the Rev. Father William McGuirk as celebrant. THE FAMILY REQUESTS EVERYONE MEET THEM AT THE CHURCH. Private interment in Twin Valley Memorial Park. Kevin P. Altman, supervisor, in charge of arrangements.

AUGUST A. TRESKOVICH
August A. Treskovich, 77, of Hostetter, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, in St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born in Hostetter, Aug. 28, 1922, he was a son of the late Frank and Julia Bihun Treskovich. He was a member of St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe. He was retired from Teledyne-Vasco Co. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Markosky Treskovich; three brothers, John, Casmir and Joseph Treskovich; and a sister, Vanda Koshar. He is survived by a son, Stan Treskovich and his wife, Jo An, of Latrobe; two daughters, Marian Shinsky and her husband, James, of Greensburg and Arlene Treskovich at home; two brothers, Adam Treskovich of Hostetter and Victor Treskovich of Latrobe; a sister, Pauline Hovanec of Hostetter; five grandchildren, Jacob, Sara, Susan, Sandy and Luke; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at noon in St. Vincent Basilica. Interment in St. Vincent Cemetery, Unity Township.

MARIAM (MARY SOLOMON) ANTHONY
Mariam (Mary Solomon) Anthony, of Republic, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, in Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Jefferson Hills Borough. She was born in New Salem, a daughter of the late Joseph Solomon and Watfa Davis Solomon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Anthony; two sisters, Catherine Yezbak and Josephine Heaton; and a brother, Samuel Solomon. A longtime resident of Republic, Mary was a member of the First Christian Church, Republic. She served as an elder and superintendent of the Sunday school. Her devotion and service to the church was a commitment of more than 50 years. The church fellowship hall was named in her honor. She founded the Anthony Crane Corp., which has grown to be an international corporation. She served as the secretary-treasurer of the firm. Mary was involved in many charities, too numerous to list. She was a rock that held her family together and her memory will be with us always. Surviving are two sons, David Solomon and Ray Gene Anthony; two daughters, Natalie Petrie and Sandi Hranec; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; five brothers, George, Theodore, Daniel, James and Terry Solomon; and three sisters, Angeline DeCarlo, Helen Petrash and Thelma Davis. Friends will be received today in the CARLO J. MARUCCI FUNERAL HOME, Route 166, Republic, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a service at 1 p.m. in the First Christian Church, Republic. The Rev. Rebecca Hickok and the Rev. Thomas Logston co-officiating. Interment to follow in Acklin Cemetery, Tower Hill #2, Pa. Contributions may be made to First Christian Church Memorial Fund.

CHARLES J. BURFORD
Charles J. "Jack" Burford, of McCandless Township, on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000. Beloved husband of the late Jean Lingelbach Burford. Father of Barbara J. (Thomas E.) Austen of Sigel, Lynn E. (Michael P.) Henry of Pittsburgh and Robert G. (Nancy L.) Burford of Greensburg. Grandfather of Scott, Erin and Beth Austen, Carrie and Casey Gomersall, and Daniel and David Burford. Great-grandfather of Brianna and Tyler Henry. Nephew of Hazel Smith of Pittsburgh. MARY ANN (LICCARDI) DiMIERI
Mary Ann (Liccardi) DiMieri, 81, of Wilmerding, died Friday Feb. 18, 2000. Loving and most beautiful mother of Carmella (Joe Miele) DiMieri, Josephine (Charles) Conti and William (Lois) DiMieri. Dearest grandmother of Carla, Angela and Jo Lynn Conti, Jennifer, Paul and Melissa DiMieri and great-grandmother of Paul Douglas Blume. Preceded in death by husband, Paul J. DiMieri; parents, Pietro and Angela Marie (Giordano) Liccardi; sisters, Carmella Rocco and Victoria Bonacci; and brothers, Charles and Frank Liccardi. Survived by her loving children, grandchildren and great-grandson. Sister of Geraldine Diana; sister-in-law of Katie Provenzano Pollack; cousin of Mary Olexia; numerous nieces and nephews; and caring friends. She will live in our hearts always. VIOLET M. (STOJAKOVICH) MARKO
Violet M. (Stojakovich) Marko, 80, of Monroeville, formerly of East Pittsburgh, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000. Beloved mother of Francis J., Theresa M. Shields, and Marian "Mimi" Marko-Eberle. Mother-in-law of Mary Ellen, Tom Shields, and Jim Eberle. Grandmother of Shannan Shields-Contic, Sarah Marko, Megan and Marc Eberle. Great-grandmother of Abigail and Dennis Contic III. Sister of Mildred Merkovsky. Also nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Marko; and her parents, Rade and Mary (Mihalovich) Stojakovich. MARGARET M. RANDALL
Margaret M. Randall, 83, of Fairhope, Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown. She was born Sept. 11, 1916, in Pricedale, Pa., a daughter of the late Luke and Kathryn Shaffer McDonough. She was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Fayette City. She was predeceased by her husband, William Randall, on Jan. 11, 1984; a son, Joseph Randall; four brothers, Norbert, J. Paul, Daniel, and Robert McDonough; and a sister, Marcella McDonough. Surviving are her stepmother, Mary McDonough of Fayette City; children, sons, William L. Randall of Littleton, Colo., James R. Randall of England, and Stephen R. Randall of Vienna, Va., daughters, Mary Kathryn Mannella of Charleroi, Anne Vargo of Rostraver Township, Sandra Fitzwater of Philadelphia, Margaret Alice Tatsch of Lorain, Ohio, Phyllis Stammitti of Akron, Ohio, and Virginia Randall of Manteo, N.C.; brothers, Francis McDonough of Palm Bay, Fla., David McDonough and Michael McDonough, both of North Charleroi, Mark McDonough of Washington, Pa., and Thomas McDonough of Dunlevy, Pa.; and sisters, Gertrude Heaton of Houston, Pa., and Ruth Kobal of Fairhope, Belle Vernon. Also survived by 30 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday from 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday from 9:30 a.m., when a blessing service will take place followed by a Funeral Mass in the Holy Spirit R.C. Church, Fayette City, with the Rev. Father Leonard McAlpin as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

LEWIS ALEXANDER JR.
Lewis Alexander Jr., of Mt. Lebanon, on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000. Beloved husband for 58 years of Alice. Father of Alexander III, Dennis and Brady. Brother of Thomas of Philadelphia. Grandfather of Allison, Virginia, Alexander IV, Amanda, Liam and Luca. Friends may call at the LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL INC., 222 Washington Road, Mt. Anthony Amato Sr., 72, of North Versailles, passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at UPMC McKeesport. He was a retired employee of J&L Steel; a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; and a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church. He was the husband of Jean M. Petrocelli Amato; father of Dolores J. Magill (Peter), Anthony Amato Jr. (Deborah), Richard Amato (Lisa), Anna Mason (Kenneth), and Karen Comport (Michael); and brother of Dominic Amato; also six grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JAMES F. KUTCH FUNERAL HOME, 433 Greensburg Ave. (Route 30), East McKeesport.
