Alexander J. "Sandy" Stewart Sr., 65, of Fellsburg, Rostraver Township, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, in his home. Born Feb. 10, 1936, in Rostraver Township, he was the son of the late George R. and Sara (Greenwood) Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a former employee of American Chain & Cable in Monessen and also owned and operated his own tractor-trailer, hauling for Perkins Furniture Transport at the time of his retirement in 1998. He was a former fire chief of Rostraver Central Volunteer Fire Company and a member of the Scottish Clan of Donora. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Evelyn (Shoemaker) Stewart; a son, Sgt. Alexander Jay Stewart and wife, Min-Gi, of Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash.; three daughters, Amy Kent and husband, Ronald, of Roscoe, Audrey Richardson and husband, Brian, of Greensburg and Aurlie Dover and husband, John, of San Pedro, Calif.; a brother, Ret. Col. George R. Stewart of Universal City, Texas; a sister, Thora S. Hazy of Beaver; and eight grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis O'Donnel and Jean Volk. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Sweeney Plan/Rostraver Township, where service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Kent Lighthall officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Red Cross.

Frederick R. Trout Sr., 58, on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, in Munroe Regional Medical Center, Ocala, Fla. He was born in Asheville, N.C., Jan. 1, 1943, son of the late Harvey and Kathleen Schneider Trout. Mr. Trout was a former buyer for Guardian Industries in Floreffe, Pa. He was a member of Leesburg First Assembly of God Church in Leesburg, Fla., and All-Faith Bible Study at Spruce Creek Country Club in Summerfield, Fla. Survived by his wife, Judith (Umbel) Trout; sons and stepson, Fred Trout Jr. of Douglasville, Ga., Jeff Trout of Lithia Springs, Ga., and Jamison Foster of Elizabeth; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Trail of Elizabeth; six grandchildren; and cousins. Visitation Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 Second St., Elizabeth. Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Wife of the late Alphonse Wallace; mother of Ronald and Glenn Wallace; sister of the late Mary Lancaster, Bessie Dashkewitz, Joseph, Charles, Frank and Lawrence Brunclik; sister-in-law of Josie Brunclik; aunt of Dolores McMahon, Joan Santner, Bob Lancaster and Marlene Tahaney. Fannie Jane Yount, 70, of Brighton Heights, died Friday, May 25, 2001, in an automobile accident in Armstrong County. Her brother, John Winfield Yount, 80, of South Park Twp., died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, as a result of the injuries he sustained in the same accident that took his sister's life. They were both preceded in death by their parents, Harry Edwin and Lena Shaffer Yount, and a brother, Merle Ray Yount. Survived by a loving sister, Betty Lou Yount of Avalon. John was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann (Simmons) Yount. He is also survived by Betty Ann's sons, Craig Simmons and his wife Debbie and their son Matthew of Virginia, and Barry Simmons and his wife Jan of New Hampshire. Fannie Jane Yount was retired from US Steel, USX where she had been an executive secretary in the engineering department. John Yount was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and was a retired pharmacist from the Allegheny County Board of Health. During World War II, he served in Europe with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a member of the VFW. Both graduated from Oliver High School. A memorial service in celebration of their lives will be Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at 3 p.m. in First United Methodist Church, Centre Avenue at Aiken in Shadyside. Memorials, if desired, are suggested to the church, Animal Friends on Penn Avenue or a charity of choice. Arrangements are by the ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME INC.

George E. Bibel, 55, of Scenery Hill, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born April 10, 1946, in Smithton, a son of the late Steve and Helen Zevchak Bibel. He was a retired employee of the Weiss Packing Co., Donora, with 28 years of service. He was a member of the Beallsville F&AM Lodge 237 and the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, Consistory of Pittsburgh. He had been a Boy Scout committeeman for California Troop 1404. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve Bibel Jr. and Louis Bibel. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Yurkovich Bibel, whom he married Dec. 27, 1994; two daughters, Michelle Savage of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Mark (Missy) Koontz of West Newton; a son, Michael Bibel, at home; a brother, John A. Bibel of Smithton; and three grandchildren, Emily, Jordan and Taylor. Robert Ramsey Busse, 89, on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001. Beloved husband of Martha Patterson Busse. Widower of Rosemarie Foley Busse. Father of Arlene (Al) Grubbs, John C. (Maggie) Busse, Dorothy (Larry) Pollack and stepfather of Gary (Marcia) Patterson. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of the late C. Clark Busse. Robert was chairman of the board for the F.J. Busse Co. Inc., general contractors instrumental in building the Point State Park fountain, Mt. Washington Overlooks and many churches, schools and industrial buildings throughout Western Pennsylvania. He was past president of Pittsburgh Builders Exchange, former director of the Master Builders Association of Pennsylvania, past president of the General Contractors Association of Pennsylvania, elder of Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church, former member of Green Tree Council, member of Green Tree Historical Society and past president and founding member of the Green Tree Lions Club. Peter P. Cecconi, 90, formerly of Blairsville, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, in St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, Pa. He was born March 12, 1911, in Whiskey Run, a son of the late Onoroto and Ersilia (Congile) Cecconi. He was a member of SS. Simon and Jude Church, Blairsville, Sons of Italy and Knights of Columbus. He was a retired conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad and had also worked for the Army Corps of Engineers. Survivors include two sons, Peter P. Cecconi Jr. and wife, Jolane, of Jeannette and Ronald T. Cecconi and wife, Tammy, of Homer City; a daughter, Joyce A. McBurney of Blairsville; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena (Manarelli) Cecconi, in 1998; an infant son, Arthur Cecconi; three sisters, Edith Reglani, Victoria Fennell and Helen Velesig; and a brother, William Cecconi.
