Beloved mother of Anthony Paul Grego; daughter of Fritz and Mary Grego; sister of Sandra Grego and Gina Janaszek; aunt of Jake Janaszek and Sam Riley; sister-in-law of Jock Janaszek; niece of Joe Koenig and Carol Hand. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the HEALY-HAHN FUNERAL HOME, 425 Grant Ave., Millvale. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Church Friday at 10 a.m. Interment in Lakewood Memorial Park, Cheswick.

John Homer
Smithton
John Homer, 87, of Smithton, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, in Mon Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township. He was born Feb. 18, 1914, in New York, a son of the late Michael and Pauline Homer. Mr. Homer was a coal miner, having retired from Republic Steel and Banning Four. He was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Rostraver Township, where he served as a trustee and deacon, and was a member of the Men's Class. He was also a member of the United Mine Workers Union. He is survived by a son, James W. Homer of Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and David Jacobs of Smithton; two sisters, Mary Pleva of Dawson and Ann Simzisko of Jacobs Creek; four grandchildren, David W., Daniel L. and Christopher M. Jacobs and Claudia Homer; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Belle (Walker) Homer, on Jan. 29, 1998; and three brothers, Stanley, Peter and Michael Homer. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Sweeney Plan/Rostraver Township. Family and friends will meet for a service Friday at 11 a.m. in the Olive Branch Baptist Church, Rostraver Township, with the Rev. Norman Melser officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery, Rostraver Township.

Patricia (Pietrzyk) Kranick, on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001. Wife of Carl J. Kranick; mother of Stacey E., Timothy J., Jody Kranick and Yolly. Grandmother of Christopher, Caroline and Austin. No visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in St. Stanislaus Church, 21st at Smallman Street in the Strip District. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Three Rivers Youth Outreach Program, (The Hub) 26th at Smallman Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Rose L. (Kurzawski) Morgan, on Monday, Oct. 15, 2001. Wife of the late Robert L. Morgan. Beloved mother of Barbara Nye, Robert Jr., Richard, Rose and Ronald Morgan. Also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Wanda A. Morra

Wanda A. Morra, 82, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, in UPMC Passavant. Mrs. Morra was vice president and treasurer for Morr-Craft Products, Inc. She was born in Bishop, Pa., on March 23, 1919, daughter of William and Bessie Janis Kavecki. Surviving are two daughters, Kathy E. Ackerman of Edmond, Okla., and Karen C. Morra of McCandless; two brothers, William F. Kavecki and Edward S. "Dutch" Kavecki, both of McCandless; also her dearest friend, Rita Diethrich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Morra, and her sister, Helen C. Baldwin. Friends received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Highway, Ross. Services will be in the chapel of the funeral home Thursday at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mary Elizabeth Morris

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Morris, 86, of Butler, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, in Butler Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 26, 1914, in Bolivar, the daughter of the late Francis Elliott Robinson and Rebecca Hammond. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, the Butler Gideon Auxiliary and the Elizabeth Circle. Survivors include a son, Larry G. Morris of Boulder City, Nev.; a daughter, Mrs. Randall J. (Diane) Hixson of Springfield, Va.; a brother, John W. Robinson of Johnstown; a sister, Mrs. Robert L. (Anna Brett) Brown of Jupiter, Fla.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Fred C. Morris, on Nov. 25, 1986; an infant son; and a brother. Friends were received Tuesday at the THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME INC., 124 E. North St., Butler. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, 420 N. Main St., Butler, PA 16001, followed by interment in Westview Cemetery, Bolivar. Memorials may be made to the church.

Georgianna (Steineck) O'Leary, 72, on Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, in her home. She was born Feb. 12, 1929, in Pittsburgh, daughter of William Michael and Marie Winter Steineck. Mrs. O'Leary was a homemaker and member of St. John Neumann Church, Franklin Park, and its Over 50 Club. Wife of James J. O'Leary; mother of Karen Marie Butler of Spring Hill, Fla., Maria L. Holtz of West View and Frederick J. O'Leary of Shadyside; grandmother of Jennifer and A.J. Obrosky of Spring Hill, Fla., and R.C. and Elena Holtz of West View. Preceded in death by her parents; a son, Matthew C. O'Leary on Oct. 15, 2000; two sisters, Louise Plunkett and Betty Adams. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross. Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 a.m. in St. John Neumann Church with the Rev. William Bovard as celebrant. Father of Thomas Stanton of Shadyside, Carol Stanton of West Homestead and Marilyn Martin of State College. Brother of Walter Stann and C. Francis Stann, both of Florida, Edmund Stankunas of Baldwin and Emily Paukstitus of Maryland. Grandfather of Ann, Blake and Quinn Stanton, and Matt and Doug Martin. Mrs. Tamburino was a homemaker and member of Wilson Presbyterian Church in Clairton. Wife of the late Eli Tamburino; mother of Linda Nahay of Waynesboro, Va., and David E. Tamburino of Laurel, Md.; sister of Joseph Slifko of Port Vue and John Slifko of Ann Arbor, Mich. Also survived by three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 Second St., Elizabeth. Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel Thursday at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Ben Robinson. Graveside service and burial in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
