Heverley Jr. and Lisa Heverley; son of Vernon and Margaret O'Connor Heverley of Greensburg; brother of Robert, Bill, Joe and Mark Heverley; brother-in-law of Kathy and Barbara Heverley; and uncle of several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the BRUGGER HOME FOR FUNERALS, 1595 W. 38th St., Erie. Service in the funeral home Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. George Church. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Erie. Maryon S. Kolasa, 77, on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, in UPMC Passavant. He was born March 4, 1924, in Fayette City, Pa., son of Joseph Kolasa and Antonia Morycz Kolasa. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Army Air Corp. Mr. Kolasa was an insurance executive and a member of Allison Park Assembly of God. Survived by his wife, Rosemarie Cucura Kolasa of Ross; daughters, Celeste and her husband Andrew Comings of Roseville, Calif. and Karen and her husband James Blumer of Sewickley; a sister, Irene Kurpieski of Jeannette; and grandchildren, Sarah and Rachel Blumer. Valerie C. Kula, 84, of Rostraver Township, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, in Mon Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township. Born in McKeesport on April 14, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Szpak) Szekalski. Mrs. Kula and her late husband, Eugene J. Kula, owned and operated the Deluxe Dry Cleaners in West Newton for over 40 years. A member of the Church of St. Anne, Rostraver Township, she was also a member of the New Society and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers of the church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald E. and Lacey Kula of Alexandria, Va.; a sister and brother-in-law, Clara and William Zalakar of North Huntingdon; three grandchildren, Heather Cox, Ryan Kula and Jon Kula; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene J. Kula, on March 6, 1995. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Sweeney Plan/Rostraver Township. Bernard J. "Bernie" Leech Sr., age 90, on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001. He was a son of the late James B. and Mary (Maher) Leech. Husband of the late Anna B. (Casey) Leech. Father of Nancy (Jim) O'Connell of Penn Hills, Peggy (late Gordon) Hudak of Wilmerding, Regina (Joe) Curran of Wilmerding, Mary Pat (Bernie) Cromer of Wilkinsburg, Corrinne (Paul) Estok of Monroeville, Bernie (Anita) Leech of Michigan and Michael (Nancy) Leech of Georgia. Survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Brother of Edward (Lena) Leech of Florida, James (Lois) Leech of Florida, Robert (Jean) Leech of East McKeesport, and the late Francis Leech and Mary (Lawrence) Connelly. Also survived by nieces and nephews. He was a life member of A.O.H. Division 17, Wilmerding, and had 61 years of service with the Wilmerding Volunteer Fire Department. He was a retired tester for the Westinghouse Air Brake Co., Wilmerding, with over 42 years of service. He was an inductee of the East Boros Sports Hall of Fame.

Margaret Geci Rayman, 82, of North Versailles, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, in the LGAR Home, Turtle Creek. She was born June 21, 1919, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Andrew and Sophia Mayerski Geci. Margaret was a retired employee of Gimbels Department Store, a member of the V.I.P. Senior Citizens and V.I.P. Travel Club, both of North Versailles. She was a member of the East Allegheny AARP and an avid bowler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Rayman; three brothers, Andrew, Michael and John Geci; and a sister, Ann Turkovic. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Hilty of Irwin; three grandchildren, Sherri Sawders and husband, Daryl, of East McKeesport, Richard Hilty of Grapeville and Jeffrey Hilty of North Versailles; two great-great-grandchildren, Brianne and Jeremy Sawders; a sister, Mary Maha of McKeesport; a brother, Edward Geci of McKeesport; a sister-in-law, Ella Geci of McKeesport; and nieces and nephews. James Charles Miller, 55, a resident of Neville Island for the past 30 years, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, in Sewickley Valley Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh on July 20, 1946, son of the late Joseph William and Josephine Virginia (Lettiere) Miller. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph William Miller Jr. Mr. Miller was a 1965 graduate of East Pittsburgh High School. He was employed 17 years with Fab Tec as a welder. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, GPU and the Aquatic Boat Club. He is survived by his loving fiancee Kimberly A. DiSanto; his sister, Carol A. Conroy of Roselle Ill.; three brothers, Patrick F. Miller of Katy, Texas, Dennis M. Miller of Wilkins and Michael J. Miller of Houston, Texas. Visitation Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at COPELAND'S CORAOPOLIS, 867 Fifth Ave. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church with Father Malcolm McDonald as officiant.
