William J. Machen, 77, of Penn Hills died May 30, 2000, at Forbes Regional Hospital.
Born in Verona, he was the son of William and Grace Miller Machen.
He was the founder of Penn Hills Auto Body.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Bell Machen; his brother-in-law, John Strunk; sister, Edith Strunk; and nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at William F. Gross Funeral Home. Mass was at St. Bartholomew Church. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Roberta K. Moore, 94, of Penn Hills died May 26, 2000, at St. Margaret Hospital.
Born in Charleston, W.Va., the daughter of John and Mary Maude Sheets Kriebel, she was a retired teacher with Wilkinsburg School District.
Mrs. Moore was the owner and director of Moore's Kindergarten and Nursery School in Penn Hills. She was a past matron and 50-year member of Star of Bethlehem Chapter 103 OES.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Ford Moore.
Surviving are her daughter, Carol Schartner; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends were received at Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, where services were held with the Rev. Douglas W. Stevens officiating. Interment was at Foxbury Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Seneca Place, Patient Need Fund, 5360 Saltsburg Rd., Verona, Pa. 15147.

Catherine Procopio, 81, of Penn Hills died June 2, 2000, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital.
Born Sept. 22, 1918, in Vandergrift, she was the daughter of Anthony and Teressa Giraro Procopio.
She was a member of REAR of Verona Eagles and St. Joseph Young Old Timers.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her five brothers, Dr. Joseph Procopio Tristan, Emil Samuel and Bruno Procopio; and two sisters, Rose Pagliaro and Margaret Stayduhar.
Friends were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home in Oakmont. Mass was at St. Joseph Church. Entombment followed at St. Augustine Cemetery.

Jean C. "Connie" Savage, 78, of Plum (East Oakmont) died May 30, 2000, in Forbes Regional Hospital.
Born Nov. 14, 1921, in Penn Hills, she was the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth McDonough Conville.
She was a senior companion at Penn Hills Senior Citizens Center.
She was the wife of the late Russell Savage.
Surviving are her children, Terry Savage of Plum, Jill Hall of Penn Hills, Russell Savage of North Carolina and Scott Savage of Texas; a brother, Albert Conville of Penn Hills; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Thomas D. English Funeral Homes. Interment was at Riverview Memorial Park.

David L. Thompson, 82, of Penn Hills died May 29, 2000, at St. Clair Hospital
Born July 20, 1917, the son of Alfred and Effie Abernathey Thompson, he was a retired groundskeeper with Long Vue Country Club in Penn Hills.
He also worked at the former Walters Manufacturing and was a member and past officer of Verona VFW Post 441.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Thompson; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his son, Frank Thompson of Upper St. Clair; a daughter, Bonnie Rodgers of Penn Hills; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home. Interment was at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Gary S. Allen, 45, of Penn Hills died Dec. 1, 2000.
Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Kathryn Allen and the late G._Robert Allen.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Mark and Michael Allen; and sisters, Connie Allen and Elaine Dockins.
Friends were received at William F. Gross Funeral Home.
Interment was at Westmoreland County Memorial Park.

Ursula M. Feret, 77, of Plum died Nov. 29, 2000.
Surviving are her sisters, Sylvia Scherger and Rose Marie Sullivan.
Friends were received at Soxman Funeral Home. Services were at St. Bartholomew Church. Inter-ment was at St. Augustine Cemetery.

Gilda "Honey" Green, 77, of Verona died Nov. 26, 2000.
Born Sept. 27, 1923, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of William and Lena Izzo Conte.
Mrs. Green was a retired computer operator with Sears. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers.
Surviving are her son, Robert Green of Penn Hills; and sisters, Mary Gambogi, Norma Wilding and Clara Weiler.
Private arrangements were handled by Burket-Truby Funeral Home.
Mass was at St._Joseph Church.
Interment was at St._Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Covenant House, 460 West 41st., New York, Pa. 10036.

William Moses, 77, of Penn Hills died Nov. 25, 2000, at Forbes Hospice.
Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of David and Tillie Sowma Moses.
Mr. Moses was a retired printer with Westinghouse. He was a veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Mangino Moses.
Surviving are his sons, Robert and Gary Moses; a daughter, Linda Stevens; a sister, Ruth Robinson; nine grandchildren; and five, great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home.
Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Forbes Hospice.

Frances R. Pisera, 70, of Penn Hills died Nov. 26, 2000, at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville.
Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Frank and Marie Auronia DeRiso.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Pisera.
Surviving are her daughters, Deborah Hay and Donna Gould; son-in-law, Peter Gould; and two grandchildren, Zachary Hay and Katie Gould.
Friends were received at William F. Gross Funeral Home.
Mass was at St. Charles Lwanga Parish Mother of Good Counsel Church in Pittsburgh.
Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Penn Hills.
