Vera B. Greb of Penn Hills died June 2, 2000, in Forbes Regional Hospital.
Born Nov. 23, 1914, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Arthur and Swea Peterson Swigart. She attended Riverside Community Church in Oakmont.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Greb.
Surviving are her son, Donald Greb of Penn Hills; a daughter, Sandra Lee Ferrell of Tennessee; a brother, Paul Swigart of Monroeville; a sister, Ruth Freinstein of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Jane Loughrey, 83, of Oakmont died May 30, 2000, at UPMC St. Margaret Memorial Hospital.
Born June 25, 1916, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Robert and Aloyse Kanary Loughrey, she was a retired employee with 45 years service with Westinghouse Corp.
Miss Loughrey was a member of St. Irenaeus Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Loughrey.
Surviving are her sisters, Aloyse Davies of Oakmont and Patricia Middleton of Shaler; a brother, Robert Loughrey of Bellevue; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home. Mass was at St. Irenaeus Church with the Rev. Paul Cwynar officiating.
Interment was at Allegheny County Memorial Park.
The Rev. Laird O'Neil Miller, 84, of Oakmont died May 26, 2000, at Westminster Place.
Born June 12, 1915, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Dr. Laird O'Neal Miller and Hettie Evelyn Shouse. He was a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College with a doctor of divinity degree.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in the 33rd Infantry Regiment. The Rev. Miller served as pastor and chaplain at several Presbyterian churches.
Surviving are his son, William Charles Miller; daughters, Martha Croxton and Sarah Katherine Bomholt; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ursula Elizabeth Sprau Miller; daughter, Ann Elizabeth Kline; and brothers, Robert and William Miller.

David L. Thompson, 82, of Penn Hills died May 29, 2000, at St. Clair Hospital.
Born July 20, 1917, the son of Alfred and Effie Abernathey Thompson, he was a retired groundskeeper with Long Vue Country Club in Penn Hills. Mr. Thompson also worked at the former Walters Manufacturing. He was a member and past officer of Verona VFW Post 441.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Thompson; 11 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his son, Frank Thompson of Upper St. Clair; and a daughter, Bonnie Rodgers of Penn Hills; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Dr. Thomas Connelly, 74, of Oakmont died Sept. 30, 2000, at Presbyterian Senior Care.
Born Aug. 29, 1926, in Footdale, Pa., he was the son of Edward and Ethel Momeyer Connelly.
Dr. Connelly was a retired physician in the valley serving more than 40 years with Russellton Medical Group.
He received his bachelor of arts degree from Duquesne University and his doctorate from St. Louis University.
He also served with Citizens General Hospital, Allegheny Valley and UPMC St. Margaret.
Dr. Connelly was a corporal in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He was a member of Oakmont Rotary and Knights of Equity.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Hyler Connelly; his stepchildren, Steven Evans, Carla Russo and Karen Merlino; sisters, Peggy Young and Sharon Eaton; and six step-grandchildren.
Gloria Marie Galardy Innes, 56, of Oakmont died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at her residence. obituaries
Born Aug. 10, 1944, in Pittsburgh to the late Richard and Jeannette Miceli Galardy, she was a member of Verona United Methodist Church.She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Harry "Buddy" Innes; her daughters, Kelly Cook of Springdale and Sherri Paolillo of Lower Burrell; and four grandchildren.
Friends were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home. Services were this morning (Wednesday) with the Rev. Neil Leftwich officiating. Interment was at Lakewood Memorial Gardens in Indiana Township.
Sophie Adamski Montero, 78, of Wildwood, Fla., formerly of Verona, died Oct. 3, 2000.
Born July 18, 1922, in Renton, Pa., she was the daughter of Joseph and Rozelia Krulik Adamski. Mrs. Montero was a former secretary.
She was a member of St. Irenaeus Church. Surviving are brothers, John and Walter Adamksi; and sisters, Violet Toth and Helen Tutak.

Linda Lee Russell, 44, of Pittsburgh, died Oct. 5, 2000. She was a secretary for the Epiphany Lutheran Church of Pittsburgh.
Services were held Oct. 10, 2000, at the Epiphany Lutheran Church.
Interment was at Riverview Memorial Park.
Eleanor K. "Ellie" Wick, 72, of Verona, died Oct. 8, 2000. Formerly of Turtle Creek, she was a retired nurse from Magee-Womens Hospital, taught Sunday school and enjoyed composing her own music.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Wick. She is survived by her sons, David and Tim Wick; sisters, Mildred McGill, Gerry Tennant, Mary Senz, Marylyn Kleinsmith and Arlene Schmidt; brother, Donald Kleinsmith; and five grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the John L. Quinlan Funeral Home Inc. in Turtle Creek, today and Thursday, Oct. 12, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until the time of services at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
