The beloved wife of John DeRose, Mrs. DeRose was the mother of Joann Miller.
She is survived by sisters Gloria Reed of Lafayette, La., and Murial Sutton of Atlanta, Ga. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her parents were the late Joseph and Alma Hoffman.

Henrietta Lostetter of Baldwin died on Friday, Aug. 25, 2000.
Mrs. Lostetter was the wife of the late Vincent Lostetter and mother of Carol Ann Rall of Arizona and Vincent Lostetter of Fallbrook, Calif.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Felix of Whitehall, seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Michael J. Paiano Jr. of West Mifflin died on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000.
He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Paiano and father of Glenn, Cynthia and Dean.
Mr. Paiano is survived by five grandchildren - Chris, Chad, Justin, Michael and James and one step-grandchild, Lesa.
Other survivors include his great-grandchild, Vittoria.
Mr. Paiano was a World War II veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart.

Henry G. Huebner of Carrick died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000. He was 76.
Mr. Huebner is survived by his wife, Jeanne (Richards) Huebner, and their children: Carolyn Rosenquest, Linda Linnert, Beth Elder, and Richard Huebner.
He also is survived by his sisters, Esther Headrick and Roberta Gimper, and six grandchildren.
A retired employee of the Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Huebner was a member of Masonic Lodge 45 for 50 years.

Former Westinghouse facilities manager Charles J. McManus Jr. died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000. He was 78.
Mr. McManus is survived by his wife, Blanche, and their five daughters: Geraldine Till, Diane Malecki, Colleen McManus, Suzanne Czapik and Michelle McManus.
He also is survived by brothers James and Frank Mc-Manus, sister Ethel Brunner, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Johanna (Offen) McManus.
A Jefferson Hills resident, Mr. McManus was a member of the VFW and the Knights of Columbus.
Visitation was held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.

World War II veteran Peter Tichansky of Baldwin died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000.
Mr. Tichansky is survived by his wife, Evalyn (Bege) Tichansky, and their children, Cheryl Prior, Janet Baughman and Peter C. Tichansky.
He also is survived by his brothers, Andy and Ossie Tichansky, and his sister, Mary Tichansky.
Mr. Tichansky was a retired employee of Allegheny Freight Lines.

Carl Giles, 61, of Monroeville died Oct. 20, 2000, at Forbes Regional Hospital.
Born in Savannah, Ga., he was a salesman for Liberty USA.
Surviving are his wife, Connie Giles; mother, Louie Giles; children, Cynthia Gillespie, Denise Rodgers, Dawn Adams and Lori Adams; sisters, Laura Birchwood and Carolyn Register; and five grandchildren.
Friends were received at Gene H. Corl Funeral Home, Monroeville. Services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Corl Chapel with the Rev. Eric Ash Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
Ida Rachael Schmidt, 74, of Jacksonville, Fla., a former resident of Monroeville, died Oct. 16, 2000.
She was born in Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Schmidt moved to Jacksonville three and a half years ago.
Mrs. Schmidt was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Schmidt.
Surviving are her son, Daniel, and his wife, JoEllen, with whom she lived; her daughter, Cynthia Kirkley, and her husband, Bob, of Winter Park, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Eternity Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

Wife of the late Henry Kalina Sr. Beloved mother of Henry Jr., Albert "Hinie, " Fred, David, and Timothy Kalina. Sister of Albert Collins, Elizabeth Parkye, Jean Franks, and the late Ginger Umbel, Florence Magnus and Lloyd. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon at the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, where services will be held Thursday at noon.
