Frank Snyder, 86, of North Versailles Twp. died yesterday at home. A former candy salesman for McClay Co., he was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Versailles Twp., North Versailles Senior Bowling League and a 50-year member of Penn Brotherhood Lodge 635, formerly Delta Lodge 699.
Born in Pittsburgh, May 13, 1913, he was the son of the late Charles and Minnie Jenneman Snyder. He is survived by his wife, Helen Christie Snyder of North Versailles Twp.; son, Frank Snyder Jr.; daughter, Emmy Lou Tomcsany; five stepchildren; two grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and a step-great-grandson; brother, Charles Snyder II; and a niece.
Friends will be received in the James F. Kutch Funeral Home, East McKeesport, today and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. John’s Lutheran Church by the Rev. Richard Bonds-Krug. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wilkinsburg. The family has suggested memorial contributions to St. John’s Lutheran Church.

ALBERT MILLINGTON
Albert J. Millington of Lincoln died yesterday in Jefferson Hospital. Retired as a supervisor at Westinghouse Electric Corp. and as a stationary engineer from the Clairton plant, U.S. Steel Corp., he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, member of the Roulette Gun Club in Roulette and the Lincoln Athletic Association and a former school board member at St. Michael School in Elizabeth Twp.
Born in Carnegie, he was the son of the late William and Sophia Millington. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Millington; daughters, Kimberly of Elizabeth Twp. and Alisa of Elizabeth; son, Scott Millington of Elizabeth Twp.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild; brothers, William Millington of Carnegie and John Millington of Peters Twp.; nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp. by the Rev. Donald Jones. Interment will be in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.

ROBERT WILLIAMS
Robert J. Williams, 62, of Bunola died yesterday at home. Retired from ICI Chemical Co. in Eightyfour, he was a self-employed bricklayer and member of St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp.
Born Oct. 3, 1937, in Bunola, he was the son of the late David C. and Stephanie A. Fetchen Williams. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Folk Williams; daughters, Lynn Belardia and Robin Obusek of Bunola; six grandchildren; brothers, Dave Williams of Graysville, Jack Williams in New Mexico, Tom Williams in Indiana state and Steve Williams of Venetia; and sisters, Elizabeth Napovanic and Mary Ann Martin of Bunola, Marlene Newman of Brouge and Barbara and Marcia Williams of Clairton.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the L.M. Frye Funeral Home, Inc., Monongahela. A blessing will be offered there Thursday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Timothy Evans. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Twp. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Bunola Volunteer Fire Co.

JOSEPH KAMPERT
Joseph L. (Powerhouse) Kampert, 72, of McKeesport died today in UPMC McKeesport. A retired screening binge operator at the Duquesne plant, U.S. Steel Corp., he was a member of St. Mary Czestochowa Parish and Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Born in Duquesne, June 22, 1927, he was the son of the late Louis and Anna Schmidt Kampert. He is survived by his wife, Edith M. Pickell Kampert; sons, Theodore J. and Robert W. Kampert of McKeesport; two grandsons; nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home, Inc., tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Czestochowa Church by the Rev. F.B. Lachowicz. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin.

Curtis M. Sawyer, 54, of McKeesport died Saturday in UPMC McKeesport. Born in Winston Salem, N.C., Aug. 31, 1945, he was the son of the late Jerry and Mary Brigman Sawyer.
He is survived by a son, Brett Gaynor in Texas; brothers, Ronald Sawyer of Huntington, G. Gregory Kelley of Clairton and Jerome Sawyer of McKeesport; sisters, Pam and Arwilda D. Sawyer of Pittsburgh and Brenda Sawyer of McKeesport; nieces, nephews and aunts.
Friends will be received in the Newman-Winston Memorial Chapel Thursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service there at noon with Pastor Dorothy Reeves officiating. Interment will be in Richland Cemetery, Dravosburg.

Ballantine of Shaler Township; brother of Margaret Hood of England; grandfather of Raymond and Brian Ballantine, Terri Butler, Michele and Rachel DeDobbeleer; and two great-grandchildren. Mary R. Sauers, 84, formerly of Smithton and Baltimore, Md., died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at the residence of her son in West Mifflin. She was born Nov. 28, 1914, in Baltimore, Md., a daughter of the late Walter and Mary Lou Schlinkman Solloway. She was a former bookkeeper, having worked at the First National Bank in Baltimore. She was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Rostraver Township. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Sauers; a brother, Walter Solloway; and a sister, Dorothy Walters. Survived by three sons, George Jr. of Florida, Howard of Smithton, and Roy of West Mifflin, with whom she resided; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a nephew, David Alan Walters; and a niece, Donna Lynn Walters. He was born Dec. 3, 1936, in North Braddock, a son of the late Richard and Romayne (Leddon) Phillips.
