STEPHEN S. SPINNER
Stephen S. Spinner, 89, of Donora, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. He was born July 24, 1910, in Carroll Township, a son of the late Stephen and Emelia Spinner. Mr. Spinner retired in 1972 from the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #354 in Youngwood. He was a member of Transfiguration Church in Monongahela. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. A member of the Sutman Yohe VFW Post #1409, Black Diamond, and the James C. Ford Post #949 Carroll American Legion, Dunkirk. Surviving relatives are a son, William "Buddy" Spinner of Donora; three daughters, Darlene and son-in-law, Richard McBurnie, of Long Branch, Rose and son-in-law, Earl Masters, of Monongahela, and Norma Augustine of Monongahela; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred and brother-in-law, Andrew Hustava, of Bentleyville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred B. Stoneman Spinner, who died Nov. 15, 1997; two sisters, Anna and Marie; and two brothers, Sam and Albert. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the L.M. FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Transfiguration Church with the Rev. William Feeney, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.

WILLIAM L. TUFANO
William L. "Bill" Tufano, 85, of Dunbar, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at the Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. He was born April 15, 1914, in Dunbar, a son of the late Aniello and Mary Ann Chicozzi Tufano. He was a retired steel worker of Latrobe Steel Co. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army; a member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Dunbar; and VFW Post #47, Uniontown. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean Goodwin Tufano; his children, Ericca Tufano of Dunbar and Barry Tufano and wife, Tedi, of Connellsville; a sister, Philomena Pasden of West Virginia; his beloved grandson, Alex; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Also, he was predeceased by four brothers and a sister. Friends will be received at the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mourning prayers will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Aloysius R.C. Church with the Rev. Father J. Edward McCullough as celebrant. Interment Greenridge Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside.

CARMEL MARIANO VLHA
Carmel Mariano Vlha, of West Homestead, on Monday, Nov. 8, 1999. Beloved wife of Michael; mother of Dr. Janet Vlha of Ben Avon Heights; sister of Mary Fratangelo of Hazelwood; grandmother of Jane and Michael Muder; also several nieces and nephews. Friends received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main St., Munhall, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass Friday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin. Retired executive secretary at the University of Pittsburgh and a member of I.S.D.A. Family requests, contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Pittsburgh Chapter, 1323 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15219.

MANNY WEISS
Manny Weiss, on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, in Florida. Beloved husband of Sue Weiss. Beloved father of Karen Weiss Gates of Greensburg, Cindy Weiss Stewart of North Irwin, and Kimberly Weiss Rowan of Greensburg. Beloved stepson of Joan Weiss of Aliquippa. Beloved brother of Phyllis Stahl of Florida, Roslyn Weiss of Ontario, Canada, Sandra Learish of Pittsburgh, and the late Donald Weiss. Beloved grandfather of Jason, Joshua, and Hannah Gates, Sarah and Andrew Rowan, and Michael and Kassandra Stewart. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews. Services at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, 5509 Centre Ave., Shadyside, Friday at 10:30 a.m. Visitation one hour prior to service (9:30 to 10:30 a.m.). Interment private. Contributions may be made to VA Medical Center, P.O. Box 5005, Bay Pines, FL 33744.

ISABEL PATRICK
Isabel M. Patrick, 79, of Chambersburg died March 28 in Chambersburg Hospital. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church.
Born in McKeesport, June 5, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen MacPherson. She is survived by her husband, Jack Patrick; son, John Patrick of Upper St. Clair; daughters, Nancy McCausland of Orange, Conn., Mary Shoettinger of Dover, Del., and Judith Ann Baker of Orwigsburg; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Friends will be received in the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth Twp. Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of a Memorial Service there at 11 with the Rev. William K. Little officiating. The family has suggested memorial contributions to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 2695 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA, 17201; or the Endowment Fund of Lutheran Social Services, 2735 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA, 17201.

MARILYN EDWARDS
Marilyn F. Edwards, 67, of North Versailles Twp. died Monday in Florence Park Care Center, Florence, Ky. Born Jan. 20, 1933, in Greensburg, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nettie Wilson Hutchinson.
Wife of the late Richard (Dick) Edwards, she is survived by children, Geraldine Kraemer of Penn Hills and James Edwards of Florence; sister, Louise Ray of Pitcairn; nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., Wilmerding, tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until the hour of service there at noon with the Rev. Eric Dennis officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles Twp.

Concetta M. "Augustine" Collura
Concetta M. "Augustine" Collura, 87, formerly of Brookline, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, in the Beverly Healthcare, Murrysville. She was born Nov. 10, 1912, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Leonardo and Fortunata Manguso Merlino. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Collura. Surviving are a daughter, Petrina "Bee-Bee" Collura of North Huntingdon; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., Fifth and Oak streets, Irwin, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.

Michael G. Ferketic
Michael G. Ferketic, of Indiana Township, on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999. Mr. Ferketic was a building inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of General Services. He was the beloved husband of Mary Lou Erdeljac Ferketic; son of the late Michael N. and Mary (Vitunic) Ferketic; father of James M. Ferketic of Jamestown, N.Y.; brother of Lois Netzel of Etna, Bill and Richard Ferketic, both of Etna, and Robert Ferketic of Bowie, Md.; and stepson of Helen Ferketic. Friends received at the FRANK R. PERMAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. at Route 8, Shaler Township, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Glenshaw, Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Assumption Cemetery, Hampton Township.

Scott Alan Roberts
Scott Alan Roberts, 21, of Shaler Township, on Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999. Mr. Roberts was the beloved son of Barbara J. Heckman Roberts of Shaler Township and Merle L. Roberts of Dayton, Ohio. Brother of Sophie and Samuel Roberts, both of England, and Sydney Roberts, of Dayton, Ohio. Grandson of Gayle Heckman of Glenshaw and the late Glenford J. Heckman, Cora Roberts of Madison, Kan., and Dale Roberts of Nampa, Idaho. Great-grandson of Dolores Ellsworth of Monroeville. Also, survived by other loving family members. Friends received at the FRANK R. PERMAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. at Route 8, Shaler Township, Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held at the Perman Funeral Home Saturday at 1 p.m. Interment at Mt. Royal Cemetery, Shaler Township. The family respectfully suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

HELEN ULAKOVIC
A former Port Vue resident, Helen Margaret Fanucci Ulakovic, 80, of Glen Lyon died Saturday in the Waldon Health Care Center, New Orleans, La. A graduate of Wilkes-Barre Business College, she was an administrative assistant at the Works Progress Administration in Washington, D.C., during World War II and a former office manager for Butler Gas Co. in McKeesport.
Born in Glen Lyon, April 11, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Camillo and Rosa Lanutti Fanucci and the wife of the late Francis J. Ulakovic. She is survived by children, Patricia Bagdanove of New Orleans and James Ulakovic of Flower Mound, Tex.; four grandchildren; and brother, Joseph Fanucci of Edwardsville.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. in the George A. Strish Funeral Home, Inc., Glen Lyon. Service will begin there tomorrow at 11 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Dennis Church, Glen Lyon. Interment will be in the Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming.
