Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of John and Anna Marie Bonay.
Ms. Bonay was a former employee of the Military Entrance Processing Station at the Federal Building in Pittsburgh.
Surviving are her brothers, John of Harrison City, Larry of Wilkes-Barre and Thomas Bonay of Washington; and a sister, Barbara Humeniuk of Forest Hills.

Mass was celebrated at St. Maurice Church.
Interment was at St. Barbara Cemetery in Penn Township.
Chernega
Mary M. Chernega, 83, of East Pittsburgh died Oct. 17, 2001.
Mrs. Chernega was a retired employee of the University of Pittsburgh Dental School.
She was a social member of East Pittsburgh VFW Post 5008.
Mrs. Chernega was preceded in death by her husbands, Norman Kull and Michael Chernega; and a brother, John Sherry.
Surviving are her sister, Theresa Sherry of Turtle Creek; and dear fiends, Dottie and Joe Thomas and family of North Huntingdon and Darlene and Bill Young of Apollo.

Interment was at Penn-Lincoln Cemetery.

Homa
Clover Mary Homa, 88, of Turtle Creek died Oct. 21, 2001.
Mrs. Homa was a past president of Confraternity of the Holy Rosary at St. Colman Church, a founding member of Turtle Creek AARP No. 1391 and a member of Catholic Daughters of America at St. Colman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Homa Jr.
Surviving are her children, Beverly Homa, Barbara McCabe, Blair Homa, Bonita Hills and Bernadette Spigle, all of Turtle Creek; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Colman.

Pika
William A. Pika, 87, of Forest Hills died Oct. 15, 2001.
Mr. Pika was a former justice of the peace in Forest Hills.
A World War II veteran, he had been a member of Forest Hills Rotary Club.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Sarah Pika; his daughters, Shirley Istanish and Lynda Sorch; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Interment was at William Penn Memorial Park.
Tomasic
Nicholas "Nick" Tomasic, 86, of North Braddock died Oct. 16, 2001.
Mr. Tomasic was a retired employee of Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh.
He was a member of Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge No. 736.
Mr. Tomasic was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Kresich) Tomasic; and brothers, Stephen and George Tomasic.
Surviving are his children, Nicholas Tomasic of Plum and Adrianne Tomasic of North Braddock; and two grandchildren.

Yates
Doris E. Yates, 70, of Wilkins died Oct. 18, 2001.
Surviving are her husband, Albert Yates; her children, Theresa Fedigan of Punxsutawney, Larry Yates of Ocean City, Md., Tony Yates of East Pittsburgh, Debbie Povanda of New Alexandria, Kimberly Deitz of Butle and Carmen Yates of West Newton; a sister, Ruby Morris; brothers, Ray and Harry Halstead; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Yusko
Joseph A. Yusko, 72, of North Versailles died Oct. 17, 2001.
Mr. Yusko was a retired employee of USX in Homestead and later worked at Cauley Detective Agency in the PPG Building.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
During the 1960s and '70s, he was recognized as a local playwright. His works were performed at local theaters including Pittsburgh Playhouse, McKeesport Little Theatre and White Barn Theatre, and he was awarded a Golden Quill for one of his works.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella (Jugan) Yusko.
Surviving are his daughter, Lynn Thielet of North Versailles; and four grandchildren.

Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph Church.

Jean C. Erhard, 80, of Forest Hills died July 31, 2002.
Mrs. Erhard was a member of OES No. 35 and past president of AARP No. 602.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph Erhard; her children, Dr. David of Dayton, Paul of Alexandria, Va., Robert of Plum and Martha Hellien of Kittanning; and seven grandchildren.

A service was held at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dirk Lesnett officiating.
Interment was at Uniondale Cemetery in Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Friend was a former employee of Union Switch & Signal in Swissvale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Friend; her daughter, Judith Skover; stepson, David Friend; and sister, Mary Milchick.
Surviving are her son, Larry Friend; stepson, William Friend; stepdaughters, Eileen Prosser and Judy Casper; brother, Pete Cifranik; sister, Lillian Mulligan; and nine grandchildren.

Labi
John R. "Keesh" Labi, 89, of Monroeville died Aug. 4, 2002.
Born Sept. 26, 1912, in Wilmerding, he was the son of Steven and Catherine (Murdoch) Labi.
He was a retired storeroom clerk for Westinghouse Airbrake.
Mr. Labi served with the Navy in the Pacific during World War II.
He was a life member of Monroeville Volunteer Fire Co. No. 3, where he formerly had served as treasurer.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Mike and Sam Labi; and a sister, Mary Wallace.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Jean (Shamay) Labi; daughters, Bonnie Wittenberg of Annandale, Va., Cathy Dawn Labi of Monroeville and Amy Jo Carando of New Castle; sisters, Rose Labi and Ann Waymen; and mother-in-law, Betty Shamay of Monroeville.
Arrangements were handled by Alfieri Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday).
