Straw
Merrill “Joe” Straw, 90, a resident of Life Care Nursing Home in Evergreen, Colo., died Oct. 15, 2002.
Born July 15, 1912, he was preceded in death by his wife, Midge Straw.
Surviving are his children, George of Morrison, Colo., Jim of Huntsville, Ala., and Jane Straw of Caracas, Venezuela.
A graveside service was held at Evergreen Memorial Park in Colorado.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Seniors Resource Center, Mountain Services/Day-Break, 5120 Highway 73, Evergreen, CO 80439.

Cronin
Margaret R. Cronin, 79, of Monroeville died Nov. 16, 2002.
She was born in Pitcairn.
Mrs. Cronin was a retired secretary with Forbes Regional Hospital.
She was a member of Eastern Star and McGinnis Presbyterian Church in Pitcairn.
Surviving are her husband, David Cronin; her children, Grace Witkowski, Mary Gardner, David Cronin and Margaret DeLuca; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Gene H. Corl Funeral Home, Monroeville.
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) in Corl Chapel with the Rev. Howard Newman officiating.
Interment will follow at Blairsville Cemetery.

Damask
Margaret E. Damask, 89, of Monroeville died Nov. 14, 2002.
Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Travis and Bessie (Miller) Long.
She was a member of North American Martyrs Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Damask; and a son, Henry A. Damask.
Surviving are four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Soxman Funeral Homes.
A service was held at North American Martyrs Church.
Interment was at Good Shepherd Cemetery.

Bridigum
Helen E. Bridigum, 88, of Penn Hills died Nov. 20, 2002, at Pines of New Market in New Hampshire.
Born Jan. 11, 1914, in Altoona, she was the daughter of William and Cora Mae (Johnson) Fasick.
Mrs. Bridigum was an executive secretary for State Farm Insurance.
She was a member and past president of Monroeville Mod Quads Square Dance Club, mother adviser of Order of Rainbow for Girls, worthy matron of Order of the Eastern Star No. 103 and royal matron of Order of the Amaranth.
Surviving are her husband, John Bridigum of the Pines of New Market; her daughter, Janie Billings and her husband, Phillip; a brother, William Fasick; and five grandchildren.
Friends were received at Good Funeral Home in Altoona.
Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, GA 30368.

Madjerich
Celia Madjerich, 89, of Kingman, Ariz., died Nov. 8, 2002.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Madjerich.
Surviving are her children, Dorothy “Dottie” Madjerich of Kingman, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at Wm. O. Pearce Funeral Home.
Interment was at Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles.

Yothers
Ralph W. Yothers, 84, of Pitcairn died Nov. 17, 2002.
He was a retired operations officer with the 145th Unit, Air National Guard.
A retired major in the Air Force, he served during World War II with the Army Air Corps, flying 112 missions over central Europe, the Aleutians, Normandy, Northern France and Germany.
He was a member of Trafford Gun Club, National Rifle Association and American Legion Post 256.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Nancy (Petrocelli) Yothers; his children, Nancy Lapcevich of Monroeville and her husband, George; and six grandchildren.
Friends were received at Alfieri Funeral Home in Wilmerding, where a service will be held at 9 a.m. today (Wednesday), followed by celebration of Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church.

D’Amore
Steven R. D’Amore, 45, formerly of Grove City, died Nov. 21, 2002.
Born in Grove City, he was the son of Mead D’Amore and the late Mary Lou D’Amore.
Mr. D’Amore was a physical therapist.
Besides his father, Mr. D’Amore is survived by his sister, Carol Price; and brother, Terry D’Amore.
Private arrangements were handled by Gene H. Corl Funeral Home.

Bozich
Patricia A. Bozich, 33, of Monroeville died Nov. 29, 2002.
She was the daughter of Ernest and Josephine (Kubla) Bozich of Plum.
Ms. Bozich was a self-employed accountant with her father from 1991 to 1998 at E. J. Bozich Co.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her sister, Mary Jo Armstrong of Erie and her husband, Will; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends were received at Alfieri Funeral Home.
Mass was celebrated at St. Colman Church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Forbes Hospice, 6655 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh, PA.

Johnston
Edwina V. Johnston, 87, of Pitcairn died Nov. 20, 2002, at Forbes Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Johnston was formerly involved as a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader and as a teacher in Bible School.
She enjoyed traveling and was a former member of White Shrine and Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Johnston.
Surviving are her children, Dr. Norman Wilson Johnston of Perrysburg, Ohio, Dr. Jon James Johnston of Nevada City, Calif., and Jan Edwina Johnston of Pitcairn; sisters, Althea Conforti, Lois Lange and Lorna Small Johnston; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Wm. O. Pearce Funeral Home in Pitcairn. Interment was at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgeway.

Ramey
Raymond V. Ramey, 70, of Churchill died Nov. 11, 2002.
Mr. Ramey was a retired teacher and administrator with Gateway School District.
He also was the owner of Community Hardware in Monroeville and Vurl’s Farm Supply in Montrose, Colo.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Ramey; his children, Stephen Ramey of Blooming-ton, Ind., and Raymond Ramey of Sewickley; his stepsons, Ronald Maderas Jr., Keith Maderas, Cynthia Roche, Brian Maderas and Karen Turner; sisters, Dorcas Vaughan and Gail Beales; and four grandchildren.
Friends were received at Wolfe Memorial Funeral Home.
