Mary A. Krall, 96, of Robinson Township, died Saturday, Jan. 3, at Kane Scott Regional Center.
Mrs. Krall was born July 6, 1907 in Pittsburgh to the late John and Mary Andrascik. She worked for 32 years as a cook on Brunot Island for Duquesne Light Co. Cooking, along with baking, was one thing Mary enjoyed.
Mrs. Krall was also preceded in death by one son, James, and one daughter, Betty Petrone.
Survivors include: one son, Bernard R. Kriger of Robinson Township; one daughter, Henrietta B. Darak of Robinson Township; one brother, Joseph Andrascik of Robinson Township; one sister, Helen Ceyrolles of Robinson Township; and 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Joseph M. Somma Funeral Home of Robinson Township.
Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Hopson
Carlton E. “Hoppy” Hopson, 72, of Imperial, died Sunday, Jan. 4, at his residence.
Mr. Hopson was born May 3, 1931 in Roanoke, Va. To the late Bernie and Mae (Doyle) Hopson. He had worked at Homestead Valve of Coraopolis as a compound mixer before retiring. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Korea.
Survivors include: his wife, Etsuko; two sons, William Hopson of York and Thomas Hopson of Norfolk, Va.; three daughters, June Miller of Clinton, Kathleen Turner of Imperial and Pamela Benton of Cecil; one sister, Grace Adams of Roanoke, Va.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Moody Funeral Home in Clinton.
Burial was at Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.
Johnson
Dorothy Johnson, 75, a lifelong resident of Neville Island, died Thursday, Jan. 1, at Ohio Valley Hospital.
Mrs. Johnson was born May 10, 1928 in Neville Township to the late John and Gertrude (Kirkebo) Natwick. She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
Mrs. Johnson was a former employee of Dravo Corp. and a member of Neville Island Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: three sons, Erie J. (Carol) Johnson of Moon Township, David P. Johnson of Bloomfield and Ronald C. (Beata) Johnson of Germany; one brother, Arvid Natwick of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jones
Ruth M. Jones, 88, a Coraopolis resident since 1928, died Sunday, Jan. 4.
Ms. Jones was born Jan. 19, 1915 in O’Hara Township to the late Isaac and Jean (Lang) Jones. She was a devote member of 50 years of the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis (Formerly Mt. Calvary United Presbyterian Church), a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, the Coraopolis Sewickley A.A.U.W., the Ft. Vance Chapter of O.E.S. No. 550 and the Pittsburgh Doll Club. She was a 1937 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by three siblings, Dr. Emily Jones, Nellie Walter and I. Robert Jones.
Survivors include: one brother, Charles Jones of O’Hara Township; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

Lucenti
Theresa Ann (Candalise) Lucenti, 82, a resident of Coraopolis for 47 years, died Sunday, Jan. 11.
Mrs. Lucenti was born Oct. 15, 1921 in Powellton, W.Va., to the late Joseph and Catherine (Iaquinto) Candalise. She was also preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Mrs. Lucenti was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Coraopolis, where she was also a member of the Christian Mothers Association. She retired in 1974 after being a butcher for 14 years at Sardello’s Grocery Store in Coraopolis.
Survivors include: her husband, John; two daughters, Mary Catherine (David) Bates of Cranberry Township and Joann (Ted) Howe of Independence Township; one sister, Barbara Iaquinto of Boomer, W.Va.; and four grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Copeland’s of Coraopolis.
Burial was at Coraopolis Cemetery.
Mancuso
Mary L. Mancuso, 83, a resident of Coraopolis since 1957, died Monday, Jan. 5, at her residence.
Ms. Mancuso was born Sept. 7, 1920 in Washington to the late Thomas and Madeline (Grande) Mancuso. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Coraopolis. She served on the Council of St. Joseph Church for many years. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Association, Daughters of America No. 965 and the St. Anthony’s congregation. She retired in 1986 from National City Bank in Coraopolis, where she was a secretary for 16 years.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Esther Cariati, Rose Patterson and Lena Nicastro.
Survivors include: one sister, Neva Lucero of Coraopolis; numerous nieces and nephews; and many grand nieces and nephews.

Marchese
Marilyn (Kozak) Marchese, 62, of East Hartford, Conn. and formerly of Coraopolis, died Wednesday, Jan. 7.
Mrs. Marchese was born in Pittsburgh to the late Samuel E. and Rose (Lamark) Kozak. She had resided in the East Hartford community for 40 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Manchester and its choir and had been employed by the East Hartford Board of Education. She was also a former member of the East Hartford Women’s Club and the South Windsor Kennel Club.
Survivors include: her husband, Richard; two sons, Jeffrey M. Marchese of New Britain, Conn. and Anthony C. Marchese of Niantic, Conn.; one daughter, Jennifer LoGrasso of South Windsor, Conn.; two sisters, Nancy Kozak of Harrisburg and Linda Kozak of Clearwater, Fla.; and two granddaughters.

Phillips
Marion Phillips, 89, of Robinson Township, died Friday, Dec. 26, at Country Meadows Nursing Center.
Mrs. Phillips was born Oct. 19, 1914 to the late James and Marion Alexander. She was a homemaker and a member of Moon Run United Presbyterian Church.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert.
Survivors include: her husband, Raymond; one son, Donald G. Phillips of Livingston, Texas; two brothers, George Alexander of Yarnell, Ariz. and John Alexander or Ormand By The Sea, Fla.; two sisters, Elizabeth Daniels of Ormand By The Sea, Fla. and Jean Nonnenberg of Bridgeville; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Union Cemetery.
Ptacek
Lada L. Ptacek, 91, of Coraopolis, died Saturday, Jan. 17, at his residence.
Mr. Ptacek was born May 16, 1912 in Bridgeport, Ohio to the late James and Anna (Novy) Ptacek. He retired in 1973 from R.B.W. after being a machinist for them for 41 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatamia Roman Catholic Church in Hopewell Township. He loved to Polka and sing.
Survivors include: his wife, Dolores; two sons, David A. (Dottie) Placek of Washington and Edward F. (Carol) Placek of Daytona Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Alaine (Ed) Hart of Stowe Township, Patricia (Regis) Yoest of Daytona Beach, Fla. and Barbara (Bud) Hudenski of Moon Township; two brothers, Joe Ptacek of California and Frank Ptacek of New Mexico; and 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Randazza
Josette “Josey” Randazza, 46, a resident of Coraopolis for seven years, died Monday, Jan. 5, at her residence.
Mrs. Randazza was born Sept. 22, 1957 in Quebec City, Canada to Jacque Marceau and the late Monquie Gouvin. She was a customer representative and loan officer for National City Bank in Robinson Township.
Survivors include: her husband, Frank; one sister, Bridgette Marceau of Quebec City, Canada; and one niece.
